Besides the price, nothing much

The door didn't close. No privacy. Bad hygiene in the washing rooms. No power outlets near the beds. No windows could open

Unwelcoming as no reception staff on duty whole time.Place smelt dirty and appeared uncared for. Threadbare carpets need replacing or at least a steam clean.Would not stay here again.

Central. Good value for money. Friendly owner. Plenty of storage space.

Awesome location, good heater, very clean, library of books, the other people staying there, spacious kitchen.

Perfect location, facilities were great we had everything we needed. Beds were more comfortable than we thought they were going to be for a budget accommodation. The room had plenty of extension chords to plug our cables also. Also, as two petite females travellers, we felt very safe.

Beds are too soft, pillows are too thick to sleep on. I also don't enjoy having no access to the kitchen after 10pm.

Good location, a kitchen on each floor which worked well and decent showers. It is a bit run down but part of its charm and its very cheap so I am not complaining. The staff were friendly and helpful. Oh and a decent pillow, so often missing.

Nothing- was great

Bruce the mighty! runs a very nice place ‏with a victorian vibe and interesting basement area.If you're not without kind of old timey creaky vibe you might not like this place.Unlike many other places- this place is smart enough to have a kitchen in every floor and a lounge area. ‏and it's very clogs (yes clogs! :P) to a lot of lovely victorian - steampunk shops and other. and very close to the beach and all the penguin stuff.

Would have been nice to have a towel .Also darker curtains and some multi-socket extention cords in the rooms.

The 6 person room was very crowded. Four beds in there would be better I had to pay extra money to get an upgrade to a private room.

Location, kind personal, basement with pool table and piano, lounge with a chimney with real fire, clean bathroom, all you need

Building has quite aged but lot charm in the middle of the victorian heritage

Directly in the city center, nice atmosphere and lounge area, basement with pool table and piano,, the personal is kind and helpful, clean, just perfect for backpackers! (And only 5-10min walk from the wharf where you can see little penguins for free when it s nighttime)

The building is quite old and the kitchen aged a bit, but this is no problem. It s actually really cool to be in an old victorian building and the view from the kitchen is amazing!
