    Pros +

    • Location and view
    • I loved the lady who welcomed us. She was up until late and took time to let us do the check-in. We were just doing a short stop in order to take the ferry early, the day after our late arrival. We could easily sleep and get up early to continue our journey. We had all we needed.
    • The location was great and that was the reason I booked it, but my disappointment started the minute I entered the building. Although the building is facing two main busy streets our very old fashioned and unwelcoming room was quiet. the price was overrated for what was offered. There are better rooms, which actually wear pictured, but one gets a different one upon arrival. A new evaluation of the property is highly recommendable!!!

    Cons -

    • The cleanliness and hotel facilities were not good.
    • The building and the hotel floor was strange organising, very dark, very privately or family- like a big apartment floor, like you enter someone's old large apartment. The reception lady showed us the room and started to wonder if I am at the right place and this is my book accommodation. It was very different from what I saw in the picture and its description. Very dark, old-fashioned setting, with 3 very old and uncomfortable beds, that we could hardly sleep with horrible pillows and the minute you change position the is about to dismantle. The floor was damaged and uneven. When I tried to open the window walking close to the wardrobe the doors opened and it started to shake. The bedroom has only a cold water sink... and not nice to be used - not really a European Standard for a hotel in 2024.
    • The room was terrible. We thought we were in a time warp.....back in the 50's. Very old furnishings and disgusting, ultra small bathroom.

Location was good. Right next to Port.

    Only the location.

Very unclean, old furniture and very uncomfortable beds.

    4OnurPosted on: 7-14-2024

Only the beds were clean and the air conditioning was sufficient. Location and also room's scene good.

Bathroom was dirt, accumulated hair strands were blocking the shower. The furniture was old. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

I loved the location of the hotel. It was very close to all must be visit areas. There was no parking area like every Kavala hotels but one and biggest parking area was too close to hotel by walk. I liked the view also, we stayed at the room which has balcony and the hotel has elevator. Also the landlord was so nice and helpful, thanks to her.

    Nice location.

    1. Wifi didn’t work the whole time we were there. Administrator wasn’t too much interested to fix it.2. AC was absolutely useless 3. When I tried to bring up the issues, the administrator got defensive.

    Location is great

The hotel is so old and the rooms are full of dust.

    4SedaPosted on: 6-20-2024

Only the location of the hotel was good.

I am also a hotelier but I have never seen so much. It is an old hotel but the cleaning was bad, the room was almost as if it had not been vacuumed. There was dust everywhere. There were no slippers to walk around the room. The television was not working. There was no internet. There was no socket. The terrace was divided in two, actually two rooms could use it, but there was no exit from one room. Frankly, it did not look hygienic.

Vintage style was highliy appreciated. It made us to think we were in novel, in the history. Location was perfect. Staff reminded my visit that i had done 9 years ago :), so staff was perfect. I definitely advice everyone to stay at this hotel, especially for the people who loves nostalgia and vintage style.

Friendly and helpful owner, great location right in the center of Kavala

The room is a bit old and basic, but fine for a budget stay. A bit of dust on the surfaces too

It was a one night stay so near town, bus station and ferry. Great view, nice balcony

Basic, no kettle, tea, coffee. Back entrance was not inviting and owner was an old lady on oxygen, pleasant though

    Good location.

Needs refurbishment. There are cheaper places to stay in Kavala which are more pleasant. Not recommended for those with mobility problems.

    8AysuPosted on: 7-2-2023

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Room has a great balcony. We wanted a double bed room and when we went it was 2 single beds. But all good. Toilet a little small yet enough. Thank you for a good one night

We wanted double bed and parking space, both was not provided.

    10CananPosted on: 6-26-2023

Location is wonderful. Room was clean and the balcony view was fantastic. The lady who greeted us was also friendly and helpful.

    4MuratPosted on: 6-22-2023

    The location was perfect.

It is not a hotel in the original, but a business that has been converted from home to hotel. Everything was outdated in the room. The bathroom was small and equipment was outdated. There were insects in the room. We woke up with insect bites in the morning.

    10ŞafakPosted on: 6-8-2023

The location of the hotel is perfect! I have some problems with my back and neck (hernia) and I can say that the beds are really very comfortable. We liked the hotel very much. Despite we did not reserve a sea view room, hotel owner gave us a full sea view room. This act was so kind. Price/performance hotel.

There is nothing that we do not like. I can only say that the hotel is an old hotel and do not compare it with the brand new modern hotels.
