I liked the view from our room.

The air conditioner worked only sometimes in the middle of the night, and that was unpleasant.

Facility was clean and staff friendly.

A bit out of date. Shower difficult to use, as one has to hold a hand held device.

The view was definitely the best part.

Super noisy, it doesn't matter that your door is closed, you hear everybody walking into their rooms like they are entering your room. The beds are super hard, with thin pillows - not a great combination. Shower area is too small.

First of all, if you are looking for peace, nature, hill view, calm people, this is your place. I do not understand people who criticize the hotel with such negativity previously. They made us question our choice until we arrived. However, from the moment we arrived until we left, it was just a perfect stay. The staff was very helpful and informative, special thanks to Thanos for the beach recommendations. The room was spacious, with a nice balcony with a great overview of the city, like a lookout. It was quiet and calm and had a nice nostalgic feeling. Wi-Fi and AC were working well. If you want a peaceful place and especially coming with your car, this is the place! As you will see, Kavala city center is terrible for car parking. Highly recommended place; would love to stay again.

It has nothing to do with the hotel, but anti-Turkish signs in the city about Cyprus are hostile and need to be removed for the sake of tourism.

I liked the entrance of the hotel, but that only.

Room very old and the smell of the furniture was terible! I didn't used the bathroom from my room, very dirty. Very unconfortable bad. Over all, a bad experience.

Super friendly staff, clean and spacious, amazing location, great value for money

Staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was so clean. We prefer to stay a little bit far from the center to avoid the voice and have a free parking slot. It was close enough to visit the center in 10 mins but far enough to have a silent environment.

The room and the bathroom are a little bit old (but clean). There are so many mosquitoes and bugs but there was no insect screen. You have to keep the windows closed and use the AC all the time.

Spatious parking (at this period at least), great room view and fabulous personnel.

In the middle of trees. An amazing view with amazingly kind staff!. When you arrive, the nightingales welcome you, and when you wake up, you hear them in the morning as well. The sheets and pillow covers were very clean.

The High speed internet as promisssed was not working properly. Bad reception in the room. Room is bit outdated. Big gaps in laminate floor. The general downstairs public toilet was very dirty, no toiletpaper. breakfast was bit small. 2 ham/cheese tosti and some toast with jam. a juice and coffee. Could be bit more with for instance baked egg and some fruit or yoghurt

We booked a few hours before arriving. The receptionist was extremely pleasant and friendly. The room was comfortable and warm.We were very happy with the choice and would highly recommend the hotel.

Very very friendly staff with great recommendations. Great view and fresh forest air. Definitely want to come back.

It was cold there nevertheless the air conditioning was turned on all night. The bathroom needs a renovation. The shower was broken.

Beautiful location and wonderful staff! Our dogs were welcomed, too, which was great for us.

A warm welcome for a quiet overnight stay in a lovely setting for the visites of the town and the archaeological site of Filippi. Excellent value for money!

It was a pleasure for my family and me to stay at the Philoxenia Hotel. The room was very clean and cozy, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, helping us with the check-in process and always ready to assist with any questions. Best of all, the hotel is very pet-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend it to everyone!

Could do with a refurb , but still value for money

Hotel is located on the side of hill/mountain, very close to Kavala. If you are travelling by car or taxi location is much better rather than staying in central Kavala.The receptionist was super kind we felt really welcome. Even though we stayed one night they also gave us small/nice gift when checking out.View was great.

was a bit difficult to find the hotel, google maps got confused a bit.
