Breakfast and wifi disappointing but didn’t ruin our enjoyment.

Hotel is perfectly situated, has charming historic feel and beautiful grounds. Escalator makes access to town center a breeze! Bed was ver comfortable and the included breakfast was very good and the dining room very pleasant. They stored our bags for a later departure which was much appreciated.

Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Reception could have been more helpful at our initial check-in especially in regards to introducing us to some sights, suggestions etc… but overall a very nice stay.

The room was new so it was lovely. The shower was incredible. The grounds are beautiful!

This place is lovely but there were a few big problems. 1. There is NO signage to help you find your room in the new building (s). We walked all the way through the back building which was all 400’s with no luck looking for our 300s room. Our building had NO signs AND there was no map to show us where to go. We were given some brief verbal directions and had to walk all the way back to the desk to try to figure it out ( in the dark!) 2. Water! They gave us two small bottles of water for two nights. No refills. 3. Confusing exit to get to elevators to city. Again, so maps, no signs. Very confusing. 4. Electrical outlets-not near bed. 5. Bathroom only has a VERY bright overhead light! Very annoying. There was a random lamp that had no plug in bedroom so we took it into vanity are and plugged it in. 6. No doors from bedroom to shower and vanity so not great when traveling with friends! No privacy!7. Staffing. Most were incredible, but the girl who checked us in was clearly annoyed when we could not find room. Not welcoming. 8. I usually give high reviews so this is unusual for me.

Location was great! Loved the atmosphere of the hotel. It is truly beautiful and full of character. It was perfectly located at the city wall with a parking garage nearby and the escalator next to it.

The air conditioner in our room was in poor condition and was unable to cool the room very well. We didn’t sleep well because the room was so warm at night.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, within easy walking distance of the town center. Room was very good, comfortable. My only beef was because the hotel is quite spacious, it would be great to have more signage to find our room. Reception just assumed we knew where everything was.

Great hotel ...our 2nd visit...lovely rooms and beautiful building and location

The restaurant/bar staff seemed very reluctant to serve residents with drinks only...a standard set ice in a good hotel...the reception staff were very helpful but the attitude of the restaurant manager was questionable ...A fridge in the room would be helpful also.

Location is excellent and the building is both interesting and attractive. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful but need ed more than one on reception.

Parking....not on site and unloading luggage was a bit chaotic...mind you don't get a ticket! The major issue for us was the lack of any dining or bar facilities! Whether this was because the hotel had a function on or they just don't provide this on a Sunday we never managed to establish.

The room was lovely and quiet and comfy. The breakfasts were delicious. Wonderful staff!

Beautiful place rooms were comfortable staff were very helpful and friendly. Very interesting place.

The bar and restaurant were closed to guests as there were groups there. The pools were closed. We also had a problem with heating/air con but the staff sorted that very quickly.

Quality hotel with old world charm. The property is well located and quiet. Within walking distance of the city.

The hotel has been renovated, we had a brand new room which was very well decorated, great lights and all the amenities. Breakfast had a good variety. The staff was very helpful.

I discussed with the hotel staff what I didn't like. I believe they can improve those little things. This hotel is huge and many stairs, I wouldn't recommend it for someone with mobility issues.
