    Pros +

    • Great views from top of the hill. You can see the town center at night when all the lights are on.
    • reasonably large room (junior suite), nice view of Toledo, very nice grounds, free parking
    • Great Location, Great Views.

    Cons -

    • Definitely not a 5 star, more of a 3 star. No pool, fitness center, no amenities (robes/slippers/towels/water). Desktop computer in lobby is extremely slow, with no printer. I could not print my boarding pass. Room is old and dirty. Need remodeling.
    • not a 5 star resort (eg, no towels at the pool and when we asked for we were directed to walk to the front desk to pick some up), a decent 4 star one
    • Not sure if this is a 5 Star Hotel. Looks like things are being left unattended and maybe falling into disrepair.

The setting is amazing. A bit of a hike to the old part of Toledo, but still amazing. I didn't check, but maybe there was a shuttle to Toledo center. The hotel room was perfect.

The grounds were nice, the receptionists were friendly and helpful, and the view of the old city was beautiful.

As a pet friendly hotel, based on a lot of experience was not all that friendly. In particular the man at the restaurant was rude, dismissive and not respectful because had a dog. At arrival, knowing we must sit outside he pointed a said you need to go out there. At breakfast all we wanted was coffee, there was no outside seating so we sat away from people and he pitched a loud fit. If there had been coffee in our room we would not have gone to the cafeteria. It is not against Spanish law for a dog to be inside. I stay at many pet friendly hotels every year in Portugal, Spain and France. This was one of the worst experiences. My dog will not be left in the room or outside on a lead in a strange place. There was no reason for him to be so nasty, she is quiet and friendly. And no one else had a problem. In fact the restaurant was empty!

    The location

The property needs a lot of maintenance. It look old and outdated. A big renovation is long overdue. The rooms and bathrooms are outdated as well as the commons areas.

View of the old town is spectacular. Good parking. Lovely food in restaurant

Excellent location and a well appointed hotel. We found the staff friendly. The food excellent. We enjoyed a lovely walk in the historic old town all in all a magical stay.

Great room with a view of Toledo. Large bathroom and patio to enjoy the evening view . Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice .

The location, the view, the staff, cleanliness, breakfast, luggage keeping option

Bad smell from the bathroomThe hotel is quite old and should undergo renovationA hotel-operated shuttle to the town would have saved us money

    8ElainePosted on: 4-17-2025

Reception staff, cafeteria staff and breakfast staff were all excellent, very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. Our room was a good size, the bathroom was exceptional with a shower over the bath, a separate shower, a separate toilet and bidet and double sinks.

This was not a 5*hotel. Much of the crockery, ie plates and cups we used had chips in them. The 2 chairs in our room were very bad quality. The armchair had the corners of the arms torn. The 2nd chair was nothing more than a very old fashioned kitchen chair. Much of our bedroom furniture was very tired. Because the floor was tiled it did not look particularly clean and was dusty.

Location is excellent for Toledo. Grounds are nice. Pool area good when weather allows. Rooms were large

Rooms are very shabby and need a refurbishment. Pipe work from AC unit rattled all the time. Fridge was very old and rattled all the time (had to switch it off). Rooms are described as sound proof but they are far from it as you can here all the noise around you. Hotel has a 5 star rating but rooms have no mini bar nor ironing nor nor coffee making facilities. Their is no gym.

This is an elegant hotel, with friendly staff, beautiful views across to the city of Toledo, and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was substantial, and there was plenty of choice. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the city, which is well worth visiting. All in all, a great stay.

The view of Toado was amazing. Breakfast was excellent. TWe felt the staff didn't want to ,now us. They all had there jobs to do and had no time for anything else. Reception staff where great.

The snooty look from the head waiter,

View of city, dog walking area good breakfast

    I liked everything

    5LindseyPosted on: 3-8-2025

Apparently dog friendly but really wasn’t. Dogs allowed in the bedroom only and nowhere else in the hotel so had to book room service. Booked a suite which was a good size and clean but furniture very dated

Travelled all day to get there and the guy on reception didn’t even offer to help with our luggage. He was the only staff we saw in the whole hotel as couldn’t eat or drink anywhere other than the room because we had a dog.

    Great view over Toledo

Room was in need of decoration. Scuff marks on the walls, curtains falling off their runners, bathroom door handle brokenRestaurant food was plentiful but portions too big and bland. My partner ordered toledo steak which came with a mushroom sauce; he asked for chips. His plate was taken away and a plain steak with no sauce arrived with a basket of chips.maitre D was surleypaid a supplement for travelling with our 2 dogs but it seems dog owners get the shabbiet rooms. Also dog poo on the terrace outside our room on arrival.
