The location is incredible. You are right next to a castle and a steep hike up takes you to shops. Just remember: the same code for your room also unlocks the door of the building if no receptionist is on duty. The beds were adequate. (July 2025)

Small single bed sizes. Outdoor panel not always responsive to codes.

We arrived on a festival weekend so it wasn't particularly cheap, but we loved our 2nt stay and were pleased we'd chosen Hotel Sol. Parked our car outside city walls by Tourist Info Centre as Hotel was only a 4-min walk inside walls, and so plsd we did that as access is narrow and restricted to residents only! We h9ad an excellent stay in room 104 on corner upstairs with balcony and three windows, allowing views over city to left and opposite leading up to Plaza Zocodover. Rm was spacious and clean with a good powerful shower, comfortable bed, aircon, and everything within walking distance, so location is perfect. As is often the case in Spanish hotels, there are no tea/coffee facilities but we had our own travel kettle, etc. Breakfast is a bit meagre at €4 for 2 pieces of toast with jam and coffee, but bar on corner walking up from Hotel Sol serves an excellent desayuno for €6.50 pp, inc coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Can totally recommend both!

The location is good; near the old town (Puerta del Sol) and if you walk down the road you are not far from the bus and the railway station (from those stations you can better take the escalators!). Breakfast is very simple (tea/coffe, toast, butter, jam), but also very unexpensive, so I took it and it was OK.

The place was a little bit noisy, especially from the water pipes. There were no fridge or tea facilaties. The worst however was the view from my room; I always ask for a room with a nice view, but now I only saw a dirty, ugly, old wall only a few meters from my window when I looked outside. I asked for another room, but that seemed to be impossible...

The room was very clean and the location was great. My bed was very comfy and had plenty of pillows and cushions. The air conditioning was very good and also quiet.

I had a few issues with my keys deactivating. Unfortunately there was road construction outside during my stay that started at 6/7am every morning.

Looked like it may have been redecorated fairly recently in a very tasteful/attractive way. Very friendly and helpful staff. Simple breakfast but not expensive, which was ideal for us as my partner doesn’t eat breakfast and I think this was the first of many hotels we’ve stayed in over the years where he could just have coffee without being charged the full breakfast rate.

Towels were thin and small. Security lighting to room didn’t work properly.

Exceedingly friendly staff, good bargain for location (20min walk to bus/train stations, 10min walk up the hill to center of city and other attractions). We extended for a 3rd night as we loved the city so much.

Room and beds and bathroom were a bit on the smaller size, but reasonable for a historic european city and given the price. Room was good for sleeping and not spending any excessive period of time in. One complaint is lack of electric tea kettle which is standard in most places and hotel charged for morning espresso-machine mediocre quality coffee. If I can't boil my own water, coffee should be free. Staff WAS kind enough to provide us with free hot water for tea & ramen in the room.

Overpriced. Room was too small with only 1 bedside table. Barking dog in next room. No glasses or cups provided. No lift.

Charge per night €20 for small dog- expensive! Hotels in Madrid charge 5 to 7 euros / night.

Love Toledo, many good restaurant, historical building. Hotel Sol provide accommodation perfectly to explore the city on foot. Walking distance from the main bus station, city center.

Beds are very comfortable and the location is easy to get to all of the sites.

It would be nice to have a few more outlets for charging in the triple room.

Nice room, pleasantly surprised that it was larger than expected. Spacious clean modern bathroom. Was very comfortable.Roof terrace was an added bonus.

No complaints really. Given the price and my expectations, I can't fault them for anything.

Ideal location for a base to explore Toledo. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Room was comfortable as was the bed. Secure parking for our motorcycle was a bonus. Breakfast was very good value. All in all, a great success.
