Hotel La Bastida Toledo

Room rate chgd was E--, not E-- guaranteed. Rooms were avail online at about E-- that nt. No lights in hall. Toilet seat didn't fit, was worn. Spiderwebs. Cracked mirror. Lav sink didn't drain. Entry door wouldn't shut. Hair on sheets. Stains. And more.

Disappointing experience

Location is too far away from Toledo city. Breakfast louzy and not included in relatively high room rate in October 2025. Much money spent on taxis.

Location is good, on the outskirts of Toledo. Rooms are clean and the staff are all very pleasant. Food in the cafeteria was good. Has off street parking underground.

Bar/ Cafeteria were closed when we arrived around 6pm and re-opened at 8pm. We stayed here last year , both were open all afternoon and evening.

It was a terrible place, but at least it was only for one night.

It was dirty, the sheets of the bedroom were dirty, the AC wasn’t working, we call the front desk to tell them they told us that the owner was outside and he was the only one that knows how to fix it bus he was drinking some beers with his friends so he will fix it when he wants, he finally fix it some hours later. Terrible experience. Never coming back and it felt way to expensive for what they were offering, the pictures also didn’t match with the actual place.

This is a reasonably priced hotel approximately a 30 minute walk to the first bridge into the old city of Toledo. One reason I chose this hotel is that it had on site garage parking for my rent a car so that I could park my car securely at the hotel and walk to the old city of Toledo. My room was spacious with a modern bathroom. The room had a small fridge and lots of storage space. The bed was comfortable. In addition, the hotel had a restaurant that served high quality meals. Hotel staff were all courteous and spoke some English. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Toledo.

Hotel is situated 5 min by car or bus from old town Toledo in peaceful area. Delishes breakfast and cozy room and helpful staff.

Served meals. The Spanish staff were very friendly.

The Chinese receptionist was rude and unhelpful. We had to change rooms because the bathroom lighting, lighting and basin plug did not work. the room safe also did not work and, rather surprisingly, this was swapped with one from another room. The safe was not secured to the wall and the maid just picked it up and swapped it over with one from another room which begs the question of how secure it was if a woman could just pick it up. The dinner was very good but on our first night we had to eat in the cafeteria with TV and music as we were told the restaurant was only open for lunch. The next evening we were allowed to eat in the restaurant. The dinners were good and all the Spanish staff were excellent.

Proximity to Toledo. We could walk to the Historic centre in just over 30 minutes and a regular bus service was available close to the Hotel. The breakfast was good and not self service. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was excellent spacious underground parking.

Food was good although everything was very rich. Breakfast was enjoyable.Reception staff very helpful and the only one who spoke any English.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Air conditioning did not work. Shower very slippery. Everything was very tired and needs a freshen up. Hotel very remote. No shop or choice if bars or restaurants nearby. Some staff were extremely rude. No comfortable seating anywhere in the hotel.Very tiring due to the language barrier.

The manager was very helpful in finding a ground floor room for my travelling companion,who has difficulty with stairs. Very interesting old property with lots of character. Plenty of parking in the shade on the property which is well set back from the road. Location is good on the outskirts of the town.

Restaurant was closed which was disappointing as after a long car journey it would have been nice to eat at the property.

A great place about a 15-minute taxi ride into Toledo. It had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Easy access from the motorway. The bar/restaurant had a good range. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

For a one night stay the hotel was conveniently located on the outskirts of Toledo, making free street parking easy. The room was pleasant with a balcony overlooking the countryside. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful with lots of information. We took taxis into the city which were reasonably priced.

Breakfast was served and limited - I expected more selection. On returning to the room in the evening, we turned on the light and opened the balcony door for literally two minutes only to realise we had been invaded by bugs - I wouldn't say mosquitos more midges - which covered the ceiling. I had to go and get the night concierge who came and sprayed the room (so we had to vacate to the corridor in our PJs due to the smell). The floor was then covered with the dead bugs, getting to sleep was not the most pleasant experience but we survived. What I didn't like was that we were made to feel it was our fault for opening the door onto our balcony - I coped with the unfortunate episode but if you don't want guests to open the doors / windows (due to bug invasion) then tell them beforehand.

Staff and their Service.

3 beds were squeezed into a space intended for 1 double. It made the double unusable. Mattresses hard and uncomfortable. Pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. Paid extra for a terrace but it was all walled in. Unusable. Dinner was, at best, a poor menu del dia standard . Google maps couldn't find it.

Good location and free parking for motorcycles

The young girl on check in was very very rude.

It is located in a quiet place outside Toledo. We heard no noises during the night. Easy to park outside.

The bed was awfull and it didn't allowed to have a good night sleep. The hotel needs to renew the bedroom furniture asap. Gladly it was only a one night stay.

Clean and front of house nice.

Bed very uncomfortable, moved when turning over, made noises. Bed needs replacing ASAP. (See photo). Unable to open room door x 3, reception helped. Bar unfriendly/restaurant unfriendly. Food OK. Carpark tight for moving (4x4). Have to ring reception everytime wanting to use car, so they could open the door.

Not much really. The parking, although awkward to access and poorly instructed by the receptionist was at least safe.

This place is both expensive and appalling. It claims to be 3 star but would be pushed to make two. Two nights booked on half board special at a cost of 160 eur per night. It was supposed to include an olive oil tasting which never happened. The dinner on night one was just about edible on the second night it was disgusting. Breakfast only just passable After complaining the hotel offered to reduce the bill by a mere 20 eur which was insulting. They then agreed after some one hour argument to reduce it by 50 eur and said that we could have breakfast as well. On arrival at our next destination our credit card had been charged 17,90 eur with no bill or explanation and enquiries remain unanswered. (A complaint to the CC company is underway). Be careful about staying here too if you are concerned about your valuables as the room safe doesn't work and is not even attached to the wall. See photo
