- Great location to walk throuhg the city. Amazing views from the roof top. Complete breakfast. Reception and restaurant ambient.
- Location. Quiet. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. Restaurant/bar on roof with great view. Another restaurant on bottom floor.
Cons -
- The room is small but you're in an old city in Spain it's not going to be large. Everything was very good.
- Great looking rooftop restaurant, it is so popular that we could not sit down and try it, when staying at the hotel one should get priority to get a table.
- On fourth floor, low water pressure, bidet barely functional, shower operation confusing, and toilet flush weak; closet rather small.

Location. Quiet. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. Restaurant/bar on roof with great view. Another restaurant on bottom floor.
Location, upper floor view, friendly and helpful staff, lovely downstairs common area (and dining room), bed and pillows comfortable.
On fourth floor, low water pressure, bidet barely functional, shower operation confusing, and toilet flush weak; closet rather small.
It was in a great location. Close to the castle. It was clean and had a great view (the included pics are from the room there were better views from the rooftop) Staff was very friendly and helpful. The roof top restaurant was really nice also.
The location was very convenient.
The room was very small and pricey. Future guests should always check for special events happening in Toledo that could drive prices up.
Location! The new part of hotel is brilliant ? and very well designed. The staff (whit one exception, a waiter in the rooftop bar) are very friendly and welcoming. The staff in the breakfast are very nice and friendly welcoming you with a great explanation for how everything works. The cleaning staff are friendly and polite and do a great job. Front desk staff help with recommending good restaurants and “must do” things to see.
I don’t like the coffee machines in the morning because they’re too slow. I also miss a good light for shaving and the same light problem is there for the makeup user. The lack of information if the rooftop bar/Resturante is booked for venue.
Great location, mix of modern and historic
It was $50 cheaper on its website than I paid
Clean and great location. Comfortable bed.
Room is not big. But that’s expected based on location.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, great view from rooftop, good value for money.
No apparent AC in our room, may vary from room-to-room.
The location is very good, after you get off at Zocodover Plaza, within 50 meters of walk, and the plaza is full of restaurants, bus stops to Toledo Train Station or to Toledo Bus Station, very convenient. The room is very clean and quiet. Staffs are very nice. Even my room was 1st floor just besides the elevator, I didn't hear noises from elevator doors opening. I would highly recommend Carlos V Hotel and will stay again if next time :) Btw, the breakfast is also very nice.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Toledo with a great staff.
Terrible WiFi ☹️
Great location in the center of the old town, with a marvelous roof top. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and calm. Breakfast is very satisfying.
The location was good and the breakfast too.It was also very clean.
The room was small. It was expensive and for the price there was absolutely no amenities like robes, slippers, tissues not even real drinking glasses. Paper cups that leaked all over were not even replaced the next day.
wonderful woman at the desk helped us find a dentist and took us over to him.
rooms are a little small
The location is great for walking but it’s very hard to get there if ate using a car.
It was very hard to get there by car. The GPS gave directions using streets that the car car could not fit.
Excellent choice for breakfast, roof terrace worth a visit for food and drinks with a great view of the city.
Room decorative style a little unusual giving the impression of renovation in progress. Aircon not user friendly.
This is a wonderful hotel for a visit to Toledo. I really enjoyed my one night stay. Location is FANTASTIC… great walk from the train station (but uphill!) and a very short walk to the Cathedral and El Greco museum. The rooftop terrace has a STUNNING view. Staff was amazingly friendly (they called ahead to check in on my visit) and Super anccommod. The hotel was clean and well maintained especially for one with many years. The breakfast was a great deal- and good quality too! Really lovely dining room. The room itself was very clean. All the amenities you need. Bed was a bit harder for my liking but the pillows were great!!! (I checked the bed- it was clean and appeared new).Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel
This is an older hotel, so of course there’s a few things here and there for updating and refurb, so recognise that this is not a 5 star hotel but you will enjoy your visit so don’t skip out.
The location was good
We were not allocated the deluxe room we paid for. We booked two deluxe rooms only one of them was Deluxe. The other room was soooo small we couldn’t get into bed when we opened our suitcase. The wash hand basin was in the room no privacy. When we complained we were told that Deluxe rooms don’t exist, that all the rooms are the same. So why do they charge higher prices for rooms that don’t exist??? Their answer was that Booking.com put the prices !!! With no success in getting a refund for the extra money we were charged for our room which was clearly a standard room we asked for the complaints form. Plus we could almost touch the pigeon excrement filled wall opposite our balcony
The staff are very obliging and friendly. Outstanding location with an awesome view from the rooftop bar.
