Hotel Maria Cristina

A lovely looking hotel with very nice room overlooking the old town. Location was fine; only a 15 minute walk to the center of the old town. Parking garage was large and easy to navigate.

The breakfast was abysmal. The eggs and breakfast meats were stone cold. The attendants could care less. Ultimately they told us to heat the eggs in a microwave. Really? Not acceptable. We travel a lot and emjoy breakfast buffets everywhere. It is unfortunate that the quality of this hotel is dragged down by poor food service management.

Location is great. Only five minutes walk to the old town. The building is beautiful. Clean and bed is comfortable. Good quality/price rate.

Parking access is quite tricky. Bathroom was huge but there was not a spot to put your things or clothes, not practical at all.

My room was a good size, well arranged, with a great view of the arena. Breakfast was enjoyable, with numerous choices. The staff was very helpful and always available. Everything was neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Hotel in an old building- very well kept and designed. Good air conditioning- important as Toledo gets hot. Paid parking that was convenient. Toledo is a very hilly city - we grabbed the city bus to take us to top most - Alcazar and then walked back while sightseeing.

High class hotel with very friendly stuff. Close to city center, parking is a plus.

The breakfast buffet was good, but the staff was overwhelmed. Only 2 people to serve more than 20 tables.

The parking is first class but being an older property is fairly tight. However by no means impossible- it just means you take a bit of extra care unless you’re driving something wee like a Mini!Our bedroom was amazing as was the bathroom. My only comment would be that the bedroom only had a small window so it could have done with better lighting..

Well this is the downside. We were told that as the hotel was busy we would be switched for breakfast from the normal dining room to a large barn of a place. We had the worst breakfast I can remember for a long time. The Bain Marie food was stone cold. To counteract this all the milk on display was hot or at least warm and the disinterested waitress who was ostensibly on duty seemed to think it strange that we wanted cold milk for our tea. The general impression was “take it or leave it”. The other strange thing was the lack of a bar. We tried to order two gin and tonics (not for breakfast), but that was a no no.

The location is excellent - we'd forgotten how great Toledo is, and the hotel is very close to the centre. The underground car park is quite tight: the entrance is narrow and steep, and there are numerous columns to navigate - but we managed without any trouble - and the bonus was free use of the two EV chargers. The room was comfortable; the bathroom modern. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel is in two parts - go up the wrong stairs/lift and you get lost before you have to return to reception. Not a major issue but it caught us out once. The wifi worked perfectly in the public areas but dropped out in our room.

The room was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable.

We didn't find a movie that we liked and there was no netflix or prime video.

Very clean, good location near the old town. Modern bathroom, good heating. Lots of hot water. Good wi fi.

Only Spanish tv channels. No toilet brush.

It would have been good to have a restaurant to have dinner, as it is outside the old city.

As a frekvent user of hotel I have experience high and low. This is a new low.The breakfast buffet, was 3 slices of kiwi!Quite unbelievable. The staff was not interested in the hotel guests. They focused on guests from outside. Table was not cleaned etc etc. Rude staff.Bad experience.

The hotel room and facilities were superb. The room was spacious and well layed out. I loved the jacuzzi, the double shower and double washbasin.The room was facing the court yard, which was very quiet and we were able to sleep well without traffic and other noises. The hotel is well situated and has easy access to the old town by foot and a bustoo is right outside to use the local buses.All in all, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel and are happy to return.

One of the sides of the sofabed was broken and came off when leaning on it. Not sure how this could have been missed by hotel staff. However once we reported it, it was fixed the next day.One of the hand showers was not working properly with all the water coming out on one side. In my opinion, these things should be checked when getting the room ready for the next guest.We used the breakfast buffet on two occasions but found it not up to standard for a 4star hotel. Yes, we could have ordered an a la carte breakfast, but having a buffet breakfast available, it is nice to be able to choose and pick what you want. It was disappointing
