This property exudes tranquility, with its serene atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings. The hosts were warm and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Every detail of the Hacienda was thoughtfully curated, from the beautiful architecture to the lush gardens that offered a perfect escape from the world. This place radiates peace, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation. I left feeling completely refreshed and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Lars' breakfast was like nothing we'd had before. It was delicious, authentically Spanish and a fantastic way to start the day. Highly recommended.El Molino has perfected the art of relaxation. Sunny places to enjoy the day and roaring log fires to enjoy in the evening complimented by a good wine and drinks selection. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this perfect escape that is so expertly run by Marcelle and Lars.

    Nothing - everything was good.

Absolutely wonderful location, 5 minutes drive from town, but completely in the country. Beautiful building that felt like home. Amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, interesting hosts, including 3 lovely dogs and 2 gorgeous horses. Food was first class. I hope to return for longer next time!

Weather was a bit too cold to try the swimming pool. Not anybody's fault of course.

Lars and Marcel were fabulous hosts. They made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. The accommodation is first class, clean comfortable and with everything we needed. The shared areas were incredibly stylish yet homely. Lars made the best breakfast (and evening meal) ever! We would definitely recommend and will be back soon.

    Nothing!

Beautiful place, exactly as seen in the photos. Visited to have a quiet, relaxing break and it was absolutely perfect. Kind of in love with the place! Marcelle and Lars are amazing hosts also. If I ever need a retreat again I know where I’m going!

    10HeatherPosted on: 11-6-2024

Loved eating the best ever breakfast outside. There was an air of calm about the place which was perfect. Just 5 minutes from the bustle of Estepona yet it felt miles away and was so peaceful surrounded by trees and gardens.

Beautiful house with wonderful hosts who create a lovely relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic- amazing food and so much!It was great to have the kitchen space to make a drink or snack as well as the well stocked honesty bar.

The room was a great size and a very nice bathroom, there’s also a really nice breakfast included in the price.

A charming hotel nestled in the rustic hills above Estepona. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. I only stayed for one night and had to leave early for a flight, so I didn’t get to enjoy the full experience. The hotel is a beautifully renovated old chalet, with a touch of elegance. It has everything you might need, including a well-stocked kitchen. The owners were especially helpful in providing detailed instructions for getting to the airport early, and they worked perfectly!

This is dear reader one of the best hotels I've stayed in anywhere in the World. A big statement from a big man who has been to 80 countries and stayed in countless hotels. The word hospitality is defined as just two words. Lars + Marcella. Quite exceptional in terms of their attention to detail and care of their guests.... a beautiful Oasis style palace set 3km from Estepona, all rooms are individual and excellent. We stayed in a TREEEmendous room with a giant palm tree growing through the ceiling. The breakfast served each day by Lars was a Michelin inspired treat of pure inspiration and love. And when I say Michelin standard, I should know as a former hotel inspector and reviewer. I cannot praise this joyous sanctuary enough. Go and be wowed.

The fact that we could only stay for 3 days. Very, very little to fault. I give in. Let's use one word. NOTHING.

    10SarahPosted on: 9-24-2024

Lars made fresh bread every day and created something new and different each morning! I have stayed in a lot of places in Spain and I have never had such an amazing breakfast a feast for your eyes.Marcella and Lars are the most amazing hosts and go out of there way to make you feel at home, also the 3little dogs are incredible friendly! If you find yourself in that part of Andalusia and like a peaceful and welcoming place to stay this is it! With bonus of being able to get into the old town and beaches with in 10min.

The only thing I didn’t like were the pillows!I found them too bouncy and would have preferred something softer! This a very small grumble as everything else was perfect ?

    10GuadalupePosted on: 9-20-2024

Marcelle and Lars were friendly and approachable. The accommodations were both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast was amazing as well!

    10EmmaPosted on: 9-17-2024

Had a fabulous stay at El Molino. We stayed for 6 nights with our 1 year old daughter and we all loved it. It's a fantastic place to relax as there are not a lot of rooms so, even in August, it can sometimes feel like you have the place to yourself. However, the place inspires a sense of neighbourliness so any interactions with the other guests were also delightful! The design is fabulous and the place is spotless. It's not an obvious place for a small child but Marcelle and Lars really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and our daughter felt right at home there after a day!

Absolutely perfect stay at El Molino! The property is stunning and has such a relaxed laid back atmosphere truly makes you feel at ease and be able to fully relax. Hosts Marcella and Lars are just fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and will ensure your stay is as comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable as you want it to be!

The breakfast each day from Lars was truly exceptional. Marcella and Lars are perfect hosts, and the three wee dogs simply add to the hotels charm.
