Best Western PLUS Runway

Everything was excellent, the Staff, the Food, the Management, very close to the airport and just 400 Taka for an Uber to Gulshan 2, I enjoyed my 3 weeks at the Hotel, Hotel cleanliness was first class, the laundry service was fantastic and you can have a beer if you want one, the perfect business Hotel at a very competitive cost.

They suspended my booking and didn’t refund me , they took all the amount?And they are not answering my messages

The Hotel was attacked by the protesters because it belongs to a Bangladeshi corrupt individual. Our life was in danger. We were forced to leave the premises. The location was not secured. Everything was destroyed in a matter of minutes.

Best Western plus Maya is located in central Dhaka. The hotel is very clean anddecorative simple but very modern,staff are very friendly and polite. The restaurant has international cuisine,the food is wonderful . We had a day tour with the hotel arranged private taxi around Dhaka city. It was great sightseeing and in comfort. It was just amazing to stay in Best Western plus Maya .

My wife and I had a very long layover between flight to and from Dhaka. Rather than sit for a good part of the day at the airport, this was a welcoming, convenient, clean, and comfortable place to stay at a very reasonable cost.

The location, the food and the ability to walk to stores to shop

Room was really small but sufficient for a short stay. We were off the main street so the noise was fine.

The rooms was fine but too expensive

Although the TAKA rate is 1 usd to 109 Taka they insist to exchange at 120 = adding 10%.This is a violation of the Booking.com rules - you can not rely on the amount quoted

They would not charge the credit card in US dollars as stipulated on our Booking.com confirmation. Instead, they charged at least 10% by using an inflated taka rate. The taka was 109 to the US dollar but they use US dollars times 1.2 so it wound up costing at least $40 more. I read articles that that is not allowed in the country but who’s to catch them? Ask before you get caught as I did. when I confronted them, they offered to take us to the airport for free the next day, but then included that in the bill as well and marked it up. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

I like the location, the staffs, and cleanness of the hotel. They have their shuttle to airport but charge $20 and I said it was too much, then they helped me to get an Uber to airport. Everything was wonderful and I will definitely stay in this hotel again in next time.

Location - in a bit of a dingy neighborhood. Not on main steet but one street in parallel to it although thats a small issue to meRain shower - inadequate pressure possibly because i was on the 6th floorTV wasnt working but i didnt use it so i did not ask for it to be fixedPrice - this was perhaps what was most annoying. Property was listed as xxx USD on the booking.com app but when it came to payment (had to pay at property), paying in USD would incur a significantly higher charge because of the poor exchange rate of the hotel. However paying in the local currency, the taka, would still be modestly higher than the listed price in USD because of some conversion issue. TBH although i paid, that counts as misrepresentation to me. So it left a bad taste in an otherwise good experience.

The location was good and cleanliness was good

I was charged twice for the room and had to speak to 3 different people to get it resolved which ruined my stay

There was a party upstairs in the night

restaurant staff were good, front desk also good when checking in, when checking out was too badlocation was Ok for exhibition

breakfast is only local food full of spices, not international breakfasta shoe print was on my bed and on one of the pillows, I asked the room service to come and see they took photo and changed bed sheets, next day another shoe print was on the bed againwhen checking in they gave me exchange rate 115 against 1 USD, when checking out I wanted to pay some in local and some in USD they wanted to exchange 20$ at 100, in airport it was 113 they kept saying hotel policy, when I asked for a receipt against the cheap exchange they rejected, I requested a stamp and signature to confirm the rate of the exchange on my bill they agreed to give 110 rate hardly

Staff took the mic in checking out thinking I would scam the mini bar making me late for my flight.. might be a culture thing but was very annoying as I only stayed here as its close to the airport but they guy on the counter nearly made me miss my flight as they did not allow me to leave until they checked the rooms incase I nicked a redbull what joke.. why not keep a small deposit as part the booking?

I was anxious about staying alone, but every person I encountered was so professional and so helpful that I quickly got over that. The bedding was clean and wonderful, especially compared to other hotels where I stayed. Breakfast had a full variety of food choices. Everything was so clean and the air conditioning worked well.

I needed to call because the wi-fi code in the room didn't work, but I received immediate assistance to switch to another wi-fi option.

Breakfast selection was passable at best. It’s not bad but nothing to write home about.

We were initially assigned top floor rooms. Above us, someone had reserved the bar until 4 am for a very Loud music party. We were not informed about this prior to entering our rooms. The music and sound reverberated throughout the entire hotel building. We later on moved to a lower floor (4th and 3rd), which were ok for a night of sleep.In no civilized country does a hotel allow loud music like this to disturb the guests until the wee hours of the morning. I feel it was money not well spent, but we had to stay in Dhaka due to an emergency.

Great stay! I had a last minute change in my trip and needed to stay close to the airport. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe in the hotel and wandering around the area! The staff was extremely helpful and walked me to the ATM across the street to make sure I found it. The room was very cozy and the bathroom was very nice and clean. Room service for dinner was great and decently priced. The buffet breakfast had a great combo of Western and South Asian food. Do note that it claims to be five minutes away from the airport but this is Dhaka. Traffic is crazy there so give yourself some wiggle room when leaving for the airport. Very pleased with my stay
