Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort

I was given a room dirty bathroom and shower was old and not use able, after the complain they gave me a room which was littlest cleaner but still problematic bathroom after the third complain the gave me a better room

the must give my one day room rent back while i was moving room to rooms i could have done many thing or enjoy time with family thats was very unfair to me

Location is good, room is quiet, breakfast food variety is acceptable, staff handling issues are fast and accurate

I think my room is above the bar, music non-stop until 5am.The containers of milk of the restaurant should clean properly, I saw black dots

The staff where very nice, not a lot of people in the hotel. They upgraded my room for free, rooftop pool was awesome.

Pretty much nothing as compared to 100 others 5-star hotel. This hotel cannot be called as 5-star hotel no way.

Right from the word get go, staffs were rude. I was over charged and I will come back to that once I am back to my station. The amount that booking.com showed I was charged another AUS 200 extra which is ridiculous and I would seek for refund.

From the hygiene of the food till the hotel cleanliness I find that this area need to improve on. Because I had diarrhoea on the second day after my first day arrival dinner at Sky restaurant. The next day I took my breakfast at level 6 restaurant and again I was having diarrhoea on the same day afternoon. Brought up to the management about my diarrhoea and they compensated me with a transport to airport upon checkout. But this is not I want. I prefer my health to be taken care by the hotel.

Bathroom layout was awful and bad smell emanating from the shower curtains. Which needs to be replaced. The rooftop restaurant had limited options. The front desk staff were not very helpful.

The external side of the building, internal but excluding the rooms. The bed was really comfortable. Everything else was good. The shisha and rooftop were amazing, very nicely done.

Even for a 5-star hotel, their mini bar is not free, which not the issue. However, they charge quite a bit for their drinks, e.g., for a redbull, even for UK price, it's not more than £1.65p but they were charging equivalent to £4 per can. Then you have the TV, which was scratched up heavily. The bathroom hasn't had a deep clean. The tile grouts were filthy. They gave us 1 slipper for both of us, 1 toothbrush and one tiny tooth paste, same goes with the toilet tissue.

The room is very clean. Reception staff were very professional and courteous. The duty manager was very helpful.

The road work outside the hotel, although I guess this is only temporary.

Absolutely everything was amazing . The staff were very attentive and helpful as I was only there for 3 days. Didn’t have to worry about speaking Bengali as there was a level of Conversational English from everyone so they were able to understand and accommodate to me. Especially since I had an early Check in around 8am and then an even late Check out at 8.30pm . They were able to help and arrange a Pick Up and Drop off at the airport. Which was fantastic because how busy the Airport can get so they picked me up from the airport baggage till they made sure I went pass immigration. Another thing was the staff were fantastic especially my concierge and that was fast an efficient to make sure everything ran smoothly. The location is also very close to the airport making sure that even though there is Dhaka traffic it was great that the drivers gave recommendations on which time to leave. Also since it’s Hotel that’s been there for a very long time . Everyone knows it that’s I have encountered. So if you take a CNG , Rickshaw or Uber. Dhaka regency has built its legacy that gives you the comfort that you don’t have to worry about anyone not knowing where it is

The only downside about the stay was that location is far from the city. During the day. If you do plan to leave the airport do check as it’s near the Highway there can be regular traffic . I would recommend leaving in the morning and past 6pm if you need to be in Dhaka city at the certain time. Always remembered that their is 20-40 minutes travel time to Dhaka City like Old Dhaka to Dhanmondi

Breakfast was very good. In general, staff were very polite and courteous.

Location was not good. The roads and the environment around the hotel were deplorable. But to give them credit, majority of the locations in the city are no different.

everything was just perfect after the usual hassle of Dhaka, the hotel let me check in early and provided a free airport shuttle

Very poor/low lighting which are fixed in brightness, was told luxury rooms are like that by staff lol and the walls within the room were dirty / coming off, furnitures looked very old and weared out.Dirty windows obstructing city views.

The property was is an ideal location as it was near to the airport and very close to other facilities. The staff are helpful and try to accommodate, lobby and the outside show it has class but the rooms don’t.

The rooms are very outdated and in serious need of renovation. The toilets also need to be renovated, the wall paper along with the carpet have stains in the room. For the price to stay it is not worth it, I had to change one of the rooms however even the other room wasn’t any better.

Proximity to the airport was great and the common areas were good

One of the rooms I booked stank of cigarettes and I regret not telling the staff to change my room and instead heading to bed. Woke up with the worst headaches.

I enjoyed there so much all were so kind , a nice surrounding the room was very tidy every day, our breakfast had a variety of food sweets and fruits you can also taste indian food which was cooked perfectly !!!

Hotel room.whole night had road sounds and some weired construction sound.Front desk staff are ok. They gave me a room lower category then what I booked but the guys helped me to get a better room later.They have their own policies for foreign customers they charge you double rate for rooms and also charge you 3%-5% extra on currency exchange. On booking, the amount for booking is in USD, and the hotel charges you while checking in local currency TK. Their standards or hotel is not very good for family as they run bars with very low standards. Went to their restaurant bar, and literally, they have some ladies coming asking you to join your table. And add bill to your account.
