    Pros +

    • Housed in a former palace with huge bedroom but updated. Very comfortable. Very clean. 26 foot high ceilings. Nice patio to sit outside at.
    • Fabulous suite. Great location. Very friendly staff.
    • Breakfast was fine, staff were brilliant. The bar wasn’t really a bar, it was a restaurant and the staff were clearly uncomfortable with people just having a drink. The restaurant was Michelin starred so that explains their approach. A facility to make tea or coffee in the room would have been great. BUT- the whole place has such a great faded grandeur ambience with lovely courtyards etc and the staff were all lovely in the hotel (the restaurant is a different enterprise)

    Cons -

    • See above
    • The shower is uncomfortable, to get into the tub is dangerous and I don’t fit under a shower that is 1,50 high. Also no wifi!?!
    • Facilities - ie having a bar or tea and coffee facilites would have made such a difference

This is by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. A total rustic charm and by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. A pipping hot power shower was very welcome along with a good continental breakfast. The whole place had character at every turn. Simply perfect.

Location was lovely but up a steep hill. The Palacio was impressive.

Would have liked a bottle of water in the room. Room was very tired. We did not receive a welcome initially from the afternoon staff.

Hotel was fine. Restaurant adjoining was disgraceful.

No fridge and no tea/coffee making facilities.

We really liked the authenticity of the hotel, the gorgeous courtyards etc. The room was lovely and clean and fresh and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the room?

    Center of San Lucar

The toilet was broken and they didn’t come to fix it only when we were leaving 1 hour before.

The room was beautiful, like an old fashioned Spanish castle, quirky, loved it. A great patio area outside. We were lucky to find free parking across the road, otherwise there's free parking within a 10 minute walk.

We were in a ground floor room onto the street, noisy in the morning. The room was large but a bit stuffy, maybe the air con could be better. Really not much to complain about.

    Antique style and special design

The toilet and shower are a bit old style and not that fresh feeling .

Posada de Palacio is an absolutely charming hotel, with stunning rooms and courtyards. Perfect location and parking directly opposite if space available. Have stayed here a couple of times and will always be the go to place in Sanlucar de Barrameda. El Espejo restaurant next door is also great.

Wonderful atmosphere....spaciousness....old world charm. Lovely salon and large roof terraceExcellent restaurant.

Reception staff too passive. I had to ask about dinner. Only provided info on request. Gave inaccurate information about Sunday night dining....most restaurants are CLOSED ! But were perdectly polite....need further training on how to engage with guests.

Plenty of old world charm. Pleasant staff. Lovely courtyards.

The bathroom facilities were old and tired. The room was cold at night with no heating [ it was spring]

Once upon a time the Posada de Palacio,, must have been beautiful, However it did not meet, the standards required today,My room was gloomy,,dark dismal, and cold, The bed was a disgrace, old and musty bed linen ,old blankets which were ancient ,I asked for a duvet, but had none, The star rating was not what I would expect, and moved to the excellent 2star hotel laAlcoba del Agua for half the price with excellent facilities,Tea and , coffee at anytime, which the Palace had , absolutely nothing to offer, saying they had , just started to open for Saturdays only,My bad luck that I chose to to stay

    Every thing

We stayed in a Suite , which was large and spacious. The old world Spanish ambiance of the Hotel.

Having to pay extra for breakfast and the breakfast staff very inattentive. Talking to each other and not paying attention to paying guests. ( not only us but other guests).
