The guest areas and rooms were lovely, location and breakfast very good.
Cleaning staff
The front desk personnel are so friendly and helpful. I like the way the hotel meanders about and his sitting areas in so many places. The gym, indoor pool and sauna are very nice. There is even a ping pong table.

The Carvi Hotel is in a great location with incredible views of the cliffs, beaches and ocean. The roof top restaurant and bar is incredible, the food was phenomenal a 5 star experience.
We left within 5 min of checking in. They refused to reimburse and charged for two nights. The room was supposed to have a balcony instead it was a walkway facing a blind wall where anybody could come inside our room. Personnel was very rude
Clean with a large spacious bed,

Clean, convenient, very good breakfast
Amazing hotel. Breakfast was incredible. The ladies at the front desk in the day were exceptional. Parking was not reliable though. Price was too high for the stay. Besides that it was really enjoyable.
location was perfect, breakfast was excellent and the pool/bar was fun

Great staff, nice breakfast, comfortable rooms
Beautifully decorated, clean, cool, and well equipped, including a bathroom scale, magnified mirror attached on the bathroom wall. Easy internet access was a plus throughout the hotel and from our beautiful balcony with a gorgeous view of the Marina!

Great location in the middle of Lagos and a good breakfast to start the day. The room was clean, good size, and had a nice sized desk area. Downtown Lagos is busy at night and I am ok with that but if you are not, better to look at different locations.
Good location in center of old town; close to bars, restaurants, and beaches.

Small and charming hotel in a quiet residential area near the old city and the post-card beaches. Good breakfast with a lot of fresh cut fruit and pastries and a few hot dishes. There are 2 small pools, one at the main hotel and another across street.

Top Tips
- Request a courtyard- or rear-facing room to minimize nighttime noise, as Old Town Lagos bars and restaurants often stay open until 01:00-02:00 in peak summer. For a quieter rest, confirm your room's orientation at check-in.
- Choose hotels in Meia Praia or near the Marina for step-free access and easier parking. These areas offer flatter routes and hotel parking typically costs €5-€20 per night. Ask the hotel directly about on-site accessible features if you have mobility needs.
- Take the CP train or EVA bus from Faro Airport to Lagos for predictable fares of €5-€12 one-way (approx. $15 USD). The journey takes 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Always check schedules in advance, especially for arrivals after 20:00.
- Book 60-90 days ahead for July or August stays, as Lagos hotel rates rise 30-60% during this peak period compared to May or September. Early booking secures better rates and a wider selection of rooms.
- Mid-range Lagos hotels often offer Wi-Fi speeds between 30-100 Mbps. If remote work is required, request a current speed test or check for business center amenities before booking.
- For easy access to certified clean beaches, select hotels on or adjacent to Blue Flag beaches in Lagos, such as Meia Praia or Praia Dona Ana. Always verify if the hotel provides direct beach access.
- Lagos tap water is safe to drink. Bring a reusable bottle to refill at your hotel, saving money and reducing plastic waste during your stay.
- Narrow streets and steps in Lagos Old Town can make luggage transport challenging. For smoother arrival, contact your hotel to arrange assistance from the nearest taxi-accessible drop-off point.
- When paying by card at hotels, opt to be charged in euros to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), which can cost you 1-5% extra in unfavorable exchange rates. Ask for your invoice in EUR to confirm.
- During shoulder season (late September-May), compare apartment rentals near the Marina or Meia Praia, which are typically 10-30% less expensive than hotels for similar space. This is a good option for longer stays.
