Riomar is a recently-renovated hotel in central Lagos, only a 5-minute walk from a beach on the Atlantic. It features a bike rental to explore the surroundings and nearby golf facilities. Opening out onto private balconies, air conditioned rooms at Hotel Riomar are modern and functional. Each comes with satellite TV channels, a work station with desk and private bathrooms with bathtub. Guests can taste local delicacies from Algarve’s Barlavento Region and some Mediterranean dishes at the restaurant of the hotel. They can also sample renowned Portuguese wines or borrow a book from the on-site library. Many hiking opportunities can be enjoyed in the natural surroundings, starting from the impressive Ponta da Piedade. Facilities of the Riomar hotel also include a barber for men and a beauty parlor. Many restaurants, bars, and museums are within walking distance.

- Great location in the middle of Lagos and a good breakfast to start the day. The room was clean, good size, and had a nice sized desk area. Downtown Lagos is busy at night and I am ok with that but if you are not, better to look at different locations.
