Pros +
- Almost everything. Beautiful building and grounds with several walking paths along the river.
- Location, right for travelling to South.
- The faded glory of the art deco style is still evident and evokes old-world charm. Although too chilly to swim, the pool looked inviting. The staff, especially Frank at reception and Chef Daniel, are hotel treasures. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast is typical-eggs, bacon, cereal, etc.Pet friendly!
Cons -
- Only the bed as it was far too hard with no give to it at all.
- Cold room, heating on 30. Thin duvet and 1 thin blanket. Bathroom was rough painted over very old tiles., cheap flooring not edged, showing cracked and broken bottom wall tiles. My DIY skills are better. There was no breakfast (due to ...out of their control...)The evening meal was poor, potatoes covered in some red sauce, meat tough. I did not eat it...18 euros for what.Whole place needs a lot of upgrading by professionals.. A beautiful hotel that needs Tender Loving Care.
- If you’re planning to get some rest, forget it , the sound insulation is terrible. Every time someone opens or closes a door, the noise echoes through the entire hallway. I couldn’t sleep at all during my stay.On top of that, there’s no elevator, so if you have a stroller or mobility issues, good luck carrying everything upstairs. Definitely not worth the price.

The beds are hard as a rock. Really awful. Seriously. And the pillows are sad, thin, and floppy. The hotel grounds are beautiful, but the hotel itself could really benefit from repairs and updating. This is NOT handicap accessible- lots of stairs.
Lovely quiet location overlooking a valley and river. Good views from balcony. Great restaurant. Staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English. Nice riverside walks. Fab place to overnight before driving to Seville airport - 20 mins.
All good.
Great interior in the restaurant
No fridge, doors to balcony do not close,
Elegant and comfortable right by the Camino route Via Augusta. Early breakfast available. Quiet and spacious communal areas.
The concierge, Fran was very helpful with information about where to go in Seviila and Gibraltor.
Breakfast was not worth the money.
Beautiful building. Quiet location, nice park for kids near by. Wonderful staff that were friendly and noticed also our child. Cleaners were lovely older ladies, hugs from us !
Little bit outdated bathroom but we didn’t mind much. Weren’t able to use the tub for our child to bathe in it, but it is understandable with the drought.
Great staff, lovely quiet location and nice restaurant
Could have been more toiletries in bathroom.
Location. Receptionist. Comfortable bed.
Sunday evening, no food available. No service on outside terrace for drinks. Breakfast staff were not at all attentive.
The location was exceptional with walks around the park and the river on the doorstep. Close enough to the center to walk to.
It was a shame that the restaurant wasn't open. It would have been nice to have had some heat in the hotel lounge areas, there was an open fire with a log on it and just smoking and not producing any heat. As it was cold it was not possible to sit in the lovely lounge areas.
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. On top of a small hill surrounded by pine trees. Our room was a corner and had views in different directions.
Marvelous. The staff was amazing. Great breakfast.I ask to park my motorcycle in the private patio and they immediately agree, do my bike would be safer. The hotel is about 100 years old and amazingly beautiful. I loved it!!!
Staff that really made us feel welcome the second we got there. I also loved the feel of the facility. The location is beautiful, breathtaking scenery.
We could have used more toilet paper in the room, there was only one roll when we arrived :)
Quiet situated. We had a big room with big beds. Breakfast was good.
No elevator. This has been a great and charming hotel. However has lack of maintenance diminished its charm.
Staff were very friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great powerful hot shower. Dogs very welcome too, great location with park on doorstep for walks
The breakfast was great. Lots of choices. Nice atmosphere. Friendly hostessBe sure to follow the trails down to the river. There is an extensive well maintained wide path that follows the river. Many locals with young children and runners were using the trail. Good to meet them.
The food in the restaurant, was really excellent. The breakfast was also good.
Beds could of been a bit more comfortable, but it might of been me?
Lovely old world finca in a beautiful setting. The hotel is situated in a park, we went for a nice walk along the nearby river to the village. Staff were friendly and helpful and we had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant. The pool looked inviting but we had no time to try it.
Bathrooms are a bit dated but everything was very clean and comfortable - it's an old house.
