Hotel Melius

Staff was very helpful.Breakfast was decent and sufficient.Walking distance to the centre of Beja/castle.Decent value for money.

Room is noisy because: (1) heat pump, and (2) faces street and there is a lot of traffic (big trucks, fire trucks, etc). I'm a light sleeper, so I don't know if I could stay there two (or more) nights.Mattress can be more comfortable.It seems that all double rooms face the street and singles face the rear (quieter). I wonder why...

Supermarket nearby, has everything needed for a normal hotel. A plus was the vehicle charger in the garage, 15€ for a charging session, no matter how long or how much kwh. (There were 2 slow chargers)

Friendly and helpful staff. The room was good and spotlessly clean. Good hotel bar

Got a room right next to the elevator that makes some noise early in the morning. Nonetheless I got a good night's sleep. Shower is a bit outdated. Breakfast is nothing special but has the essentials

Good breakfast. Good location for restaurants and supermarkets and cinema. Convenient parking. Helpful receptionists.

No bin in the room. Not the hotel's fault but there was a ferocious half hour of grass cutting by municipality gardeners early in the morning.

The staff simpaty pre-arrival, by phone and messages. Also, the staff from the Bar were really nice.The location, very good for those who were traveling by road.The opportunity to park our motorbike at hotel garage.

The staff seemed to be overwhelmed and edgy.They couldn't get us a large bed, don't know why, and we asked it while reserving the room. The room was by the elevador and therefore the noise coming from it was very incomodative. also the noise coming from the street (I even checked several times if windows were closed).The breakfast was nice but not super.

Reasonably clean.

Noisy. The location is right at a very busy intersection with heavy traffic. Our room was right next to the elevators, also noisy. We could hear the tv and voices in the next room. Although reasonably clean, the hotel is “tired” and in need of upgrading. I didn’t think it was good value for the money considering we’ve stayed in much nicer hotels at a similar price. It’s a long walk into the historic centre.

Very busy location right on intersection, windows don’t insulate noise from traffic. So don’t be expecting to sleep at all.Terrible accessibility for disabled people or baby strollers

Facilities and price . My room wasn’t ready so I was upgraded to a suite . Very pleased.

Room, breakfast, location

Not a big issue, but just less comfortable experience, was the sound of the AC machine on the outside during the night even tho we had our AC off.

Great location and helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay and was up to par with our expectations.

The beds couldve been a little softer but apart from that everything else was great.

Clean and simple

They claimed they had EV station but on arrival late at night we were told it wasn’t working which was a real pain. They should have taken it off their description page. It also proved very difficult to get through to the reception from the room as the line was constantly engaged.

The room was spacious and in a quiet location at the back of the hotel. However, the traffic along the road by the hotel entrance isn’t particularly loud in any case. There are some public off road parking spaces between the hotel and the main road and we were lucky enough to get one of them. Our room was spacious and pleasingly decorated. There was a built in wardrobe, substantial bedside tables and an easy chair. The balcony was quite large, but unfortunately had no furniture. The twin beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed spending some time at the large, well-lit bar with 2 TVs (quiet!). All staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast was well set out, with good options.

Our bathroom had a bit of a smell. An extractor fan may well have cured this, but there wasn’t one. Also, the grouting around the base of the toilet was in need of either a deep clean, or replacement. Otherwise, no problems with cleanliness.

Easy to get to, nice little hotel bar and friendly staff. Rooms always clean.

Not so much a didn't like but a concern that the tennis courts need some additional barriers to stop children going around the back of them as there is only a low parapet wall and a long 4m+ drop

The receptionist is very friendly and helper person, the location is good nd also the parking area

It is definitely overprice, needs to pay more attention in the bathroom cleaning, very dissapointed when you find hair inside the shower and floor
