- I especially like the huge food choice in the resort. My husband likes the aquapark very much and he spent most of his time there. We especially thanks to ahmed tawfik in aquapark, he helped us a lot. We would like to come back again.
- The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole time! Even we didn’t give any tipps till the last day, they always been really friendly and gave us a great feeling. Food is typical All inclusive but on the good side!
Cons -
- The staff, if you are Egyptian don't go thereThe staff always seek to help only non Egyptian of course for moneyOne of the staff in the pool screamed at my 8 year old kid as he requested a juice And in the restaurant one of the staff put his mobile in the table to book the table to his favorite guests Even the animation their all shows is from Europe, they don't present the culture of Egypt So if you are Egyptian don't go to this hotel
- I think water sports in the resort are expensive. I couldnt join any of the activities.
- There are a tones of people who want to sell you Massages, beauty treatments etc. at the beach.. thats kinda annoying. But you can get a red flag and then they shouldn’t bother you anymore.

Sataya is a well-maintained and a new hotel. The territory is full of trees and birds, there are enough swimming pools for everyone, we didn't feel that a thousand of guests were around. Food is diverse and plentiful, something new every dinner, you can customize a dish for your own taste, seafood, fruits and sweets are super. The staff in the main restaurant is very friendly and smiling but sometimes you can't find a table with spoons and glasses. At the beach there are umbrellas and wind shields so you can comfort yourself easily.Wi-fi was ok in the common areas and worse at the room and beach. The house reef is beautiful and full of fish though not the best in Marsa Alam.Sataya is away from the city/shops/other hotels and for me it was a benefit as you can relax totally.
There is a sea, there is a beach but you can't swim. :( Sometimes because it's windy and there is a strong current (it's very common for this place), sometimes the weather is ok but they still don't let you in the sea. In those cases we went to the beach of the nearby hotel where we always could swim by the reef freely. There are very limited areas where you're let to swim via jetty, lifeguards all the time are whistling not to swim more than 20 meters away from them. Also during the low tide beach looks very unpleasant. A bit annoying when you try to relax at the beach but every 20 minutes somebody approaches you with standard "Where are you from?"and proposals to buy extra services like taxi, massage or spa. Conditioning in the room was loud so we had to turn it off during the night but we couldn't open the window as there were a lot of illumination till the morning plus rather loud music. We also had an awful experience with a snorkle excursion sold by local diving center. It was a day boat trip to Marsa Mubarak and reef that last 8 hours but we swam barely 1,5 hours. Watching dugong&turtles in the bay was like in the worst zoo - hundred of people from a dozen of boats surronded a poor animal who tried to escape from the chaos. My mom were beaten by fins of other snorklers. Also swimming by the reef was only between the boats and ropes, all the group together once again so we couldn't see any reef or fish in that muddy water surrounded by a crowd. I don't recommend to go by boat with the hotel's diving center.

It’s a place that looks nice from distance but in reality is not, need a lot of manteinance cleaning food was cheap and gross the staff was uneficient the manager Mohamed was stalking me as soon as he knew I was by myself insisted to go with him show me a better room he wanted to upgrade me to just because I said no thank you I want my original room he wasn’t happy about it said I rejected him then when the night came he called me to my room asked if I needed anything? Very creepy weird made me feel very uncomfortable I didn’t feel safe here. I couldn’t even take a shower my shower didn’t work, they gave me a breakfast box full of gluten and meat when I gluten free and vegetarian they didn’t wanted to give me more than 1 little bottle of water they didn’t had to go cups for a cup of tea.. a disaster!
- The food was delicious and there was diversity as well, I enjoyed it a lot. - The pools are beautiful and the private pool with jacuzzi was fantastic.- The room was big and we enjoyed it a lot.
- I didn't like the beach but it is not their problem, it is related to the Red Sea, so the best option to enjoy it to maximum, is to go snorking & diving. - Their location is so far from Cairo and It is like they are isolated somehow.
All staff are very helpful and welcoming actually I wanna to show my thanks specially to ms. Karmena Rafet for her help and mr. Hany Iskander from Italian restaurant for his welcoming and hospitality and mr. Karem magdy from reception Actually this vacation made me relax and really it was the best spending back in Egypt
The beverage in the room I believe if they can put some beverages in the room it would be great
Clean, beautiful rooms and gardens, swimming pools, facilities, activities, etc.
Lack of shaded paths for the long walks to and from beach and restaurants.
Excellent location, landscape, facilities
Long walks in full sun, no direct paths and very little shade. Main restaurant has a huge variety of options 3 times a day with great staff but wrong/missing signs labeling the different food items.
Good Quality food. Kids tables in restaurant . Nice beach.
Electricity cuts frequent. Not much shaded areas to walk under when heading to the pools and beach.
I had a wonderful experience during my stay with my family. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive to every detail. The room was spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. The hotel facilities were top-notch — the pool area was clean and relaxing, the buffet offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to suit every taste.Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely return on my next visit!
One of the best places I ever stayed in Wonderful views and exceptional snorkeling area. The food, the sea and all the team working there starts from reception team, housekeeping, food and animation team. It is really a friendly place. Kids area is really great also for the kids. Overall exceptional
The water on the beach is till the reef till noon time and it is very hard to enjoy it with kids at this time. Beach and pool beds are not sufficient while the hotel is full or a lot of guests and need to speak to the pool guard or beach personals to get one. Mosquitoes in open areas are painful but inside rooms no issues.
The sea is very good and also the pool is good
The food and the cleaning
Everything is perfect! The resort is really amazing, with a very nice landscape, lots of greenery, the restaurants are amazing, the room is spacious and clean and luxurious, the view from the room was wonderful. The staff, everyone, is super friendly. The food is great, the pools are really nice and clean. The beach is also amazing. We are newlyweds, so they sent us a sweet honeymoon package to our room and offered us a free room upgrade. We enjoyed our stay there a lot. I definitely recommend it, and I will for sure come back again.
Sataya was the best hotel I booked, and the crew members were very friendly. They also hosted a birthday party for my kids.Thank you Miss Kareman for your interest in us
The staff are kind and respectful. The room is clean. The food is very nice. Everything it was perfect
Superb resort, fantastic facilities, good food, very clean and very well maintained everywhere, excellent pools, lazy river great, superb snorkelling. The swim up room fantastic. Excellent resort!
Being picky - the slides and pool/beach bar closed quite early, would be good to stay open longer. Sun loungers hard to get unless get up early to reserve and not many rings for the lazy river
it was a disappointment from start to finish.
I’m writing this after one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had at a resort. I had high expectations when I booked my stay at Sataya Resort Marsa Alam, but what I encountered was far from acceptable, and I feel completely let down and disrespected as a guest.Upon arrival, I was forced to check into a room below the category I had clearly reserved and paid for. This wasn’t a minor mistake – it was a serious downgrade, and it completely derailed the start of what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. Instead of enjoying my time, I had to waste more than two full nights (out of just four!) trying to get the issue resolved. What’s worse is the complete lack of accountability and support from the staff. No one took responsibility. No one offered help unless I chased them down repeatedly. And after all the inconvenience, time wasted, and stress caused by THEIR mistake – not even a simple apology, let alone any form of compensation. That is absolutely unacceptable. This level of service is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. If this is how Sataya treats its guests, then they clearly have no interest in delivering a quality experience or even basic customer respect.I do not recommend Sataya Resort to anyone who values their time, money, or peace of mind. This was not a vacation – it was a disappointment from start to finish.
Very clean, well organised, the staff very kind, food very nice
Maybe to have more varieties of activites with music for adults
The room was good and the only thing we liked at our stay, However the food was horrible we were almost POISONED and there was no pharmacy at the hotel!. Very limited variations and extremely poor quality. And even though we chose the all inclusive stay we were having a very time to drink water!! Every time we ask for a bottle they tell us that water bottles are available onlyy at Dinner! Other wise they bring you a cup of water. Also there was a conflict at the timings of everything. Everyday We were torn between going to the aqua park or having lunch because they are at the same time and this is just an example.Staff was not friendly at all and rarely smile. Starting with the reception coming to the golf car drivers ending with the baristas.Gold car is always super late and they just take you to your room when you check-in.Not on regular basis during the day nor take you from the room with your bags to check-out unless you call and ask!I would never repeat it again.
