The bed was incredible, and the room in general.Facilities and beach were very nice.

Prices of excursions, taxis, and massages at spa way too expensive for Egypt standards. Almost the same as Italy prices.

The view is pretty,hotel own their own beach it’s perfect for snorkeling, the facilities is also great ! I will come back again for sure, it was a pleasure meeting Mahmoud the manager of the hotel too!

I think everything is good considering the price

Mr. Mahmoud and all the stuff were very kind and friendly. The rooms were large and comfortable.The food was delicious.

It was very nice with so many pools and private beach. The meal was so nice and delicious, And everyone was very kind and nice to us,If I have time later, I would like to come again.

We had a truly unforgettable stay at this wonderful hotel!The gardens are absolutely stunning, perfectly maintained and with herons walking freely through the greenery..it really felt like a hidden paradise!!Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The food was excellent, with a great variety of delicious dishes every day. A special thank you and big compliments to all the local staff and also to Serena and Andrea from the Bravo staff..they all made our stay even more special. We already miss it and can’t wait to come back!

Overall stay were a super nice experience in Gemma resort. The staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Food was delicious.The only downside was the distance from the airport, as it’s a bit far, but everything else was perfect. I highly recommend.

The hotel is very focused on italian clients so the food is very good accordingly to that. Every evening there was different theme dinner - steaks, seafood, barbeque, fish and everything was delicious. The staff was nice and friendly, making jokes all the time with everyone, our waiter Atty was super nice and we always went to his tables. Also the receptionst Bassem was very helpful and friendly. Early check-in and late check-out without problem and without further payments. The hotel is older but the rooms were clean and cozy.

The wifi connection was not very reliable and internet was slow - you can send messages and write emails but you wont be able to connect to zoom or watch a movie on Netflix. However, the wifi is everywhere - the rooms, restaurant, beach, pools... As I've already mentioned, the hotel is very italian-focused therefore all the activities were in Italian language, events, games...so if you dont speak Italian you would not enjoy it. There are not many activities for the guests than those in italian so there is not much to do except lying on the beach or by the pool. You can have mixed drinks and beer in all the bars by the pool and beach but they dont serve wine (I dont like sweet drinks and I cannot drink beer as I am gluten allergic). You can get wine only in the restaurant which is opened only during the meals.

The facilities are good and the access to the sea is awesome, with the reef just a few meters away. Staff is friendly and everyone speaks English and Italian at least

The excursions are a bit pricey

Our stay at Gemma Resort was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we felt like VIPs, welcomed with cold drinks and warm hospitality. The check-in process was seamless, with the receptionist providing all necessary information in a calm and professional manner.We opted for a family room with an all-inclusive package, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and equipped with a fridge stocked daily with water and beverages. The air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring comfort throughout our stay.One of the biggest highlights was the food quality. Each day offered a variety of fresh and flavorful options, with excellent dishes served at the main restaurants as well as by the pool and beach. From authentic pizza and sandwiches to sweet treats and snacks, everything was top-notch. The drinks were equally impressive—no watered-down cocktails here! Generous pours of quality alcohol, great coffee, and fantastic wine reflected the resort’s dedication to excellence.The resort itself feels like a picturesque village, full of serene corners to relax and lively areas for entertainment. Multiple pools, beautiful hidden spots, and a well-thought-out layout make it an ideal destination for those looking to unwind.If there’s one thing that truly sets Gemma Resort apart, it’s the staff. They treat guests as people, not as walking ATMs—something truly priceless. There’s no sense of obligation to tip, yet their service is so genuine that we felt happy to do so at the end of our stay. Their warmth and professionalism made our experience even more special.During our visit in mid-February, the resort was peaceful, not overcrowded, and the weather was pleasant, albeit a bit windy at times. We noticed that many guests were returning visitors, mostly from Italy (about 90%).Gemma Resort exceeded all expectations, offering top-tier hospitality, fantastic food, and a relaxing environment.

Very helpful staff, an incredibly unique culinary experience, and a beautiful beach.

-As Booking.com guests, we enjoyed VIP service.-Friendly and helpful staff, with most of them speaking Italian and other languages.-We stayed in the international guest section, which was quieter and more peaceful.-A large pool right in front of our room, and beach towels were replaced daily.-Reserved beach spot with no additional charges.-A wide variety of food catering to all tastes, with themed dinner nights (Egyptian, Italian, ...).-On-site doctor available for emergencies (extra service).-Option for late check-out.

-The resort is mostly for Italian guests with Italian entertainment (Bravo), which can be very noisy at times and not very welcoming to Booking.com guests.-No coral reef to visit because there’s no pier.-Excursions: We asked the hotel to organize a desert safari, but it turned out to be a "tourist scam" and wasn’t worth the price. We got a partial refund thanks to the receptionist (Hazem), who was very helpful.-There were issues with hot water in the room, but they were (partly) fixed after a quick response.-The doctor on-site was helpful (I needed it), but the price was quite high.-The resort is mostly aimed at families and not young guests.

We are group that was travelling around in Europe before reaching Egypt and Marsa Alam was our first destination in Egypt. Gemma resort set the bar high to our expectations for the rest of the trip and an extraordinary example for Egyptian hospitality. Everything in the hotel was perfect. The rooms spacious and cleans, pools clean and in different locations and beaches were amazing with great snorkeling spots. I can not speak enough about the food, no moment in the day where food is not served and in different cuisines with amazing quality. The most interesting part to me thing is that everyone is assuring you are having good time in your stay and I literally mean EVERYONE. Whether it is Mr Mahmoud, Hazem and Mohamed on the front desk or Atef and Abdo on the pool and the beach or Chef Mohamed Salah in the kitchen, every single one of these gentlemen made sure that our stay was comfortable and did not hesitate to provide the required assistance.

We travelled with three kids in January, I liked big heated swimming pool! We all enjoyed a lot. Great food, a lot of activities for kids and adults. Big rooms. We are planning to visit again.

The dostance to Luxor or Kairo too far by bus if someone wants to see.

The staff were amazing!! The food is exceptional and there was lots of bars/snack bars located around the resort. The rooms were very spacious and beach was stunning!

We were the only English couple in the hotel however this wasnt a problem, the staff were very accommodating which made our experience great.?

Very nice place, we had a wonderful time at Gemma during New Year’s week! The room was spacious and clean with all comforts. Amazing staff, everyone was very kind from the cleaning team, to the reception, restaurant and bar staff! We had a little problem with the hairdryer in the room and it was solved within 10 minutes! The place is really neat and well kept: the gardens, the pool, the beach everything amazing! Shoutout to the animation teams international and Italian, we had a lot of fun! We totally recommend Gemma :)

My friends and I spent 5 phenomenal days at Gemma. Everything was perfect, from the receptionist, waiters, waiters, animators... The food was more than excellent, varied, the selection was phenomenal. This is our 5th time in Egypt and I can say that this is the hotel with the best food and service. Super friendly, unobtrusive staff really made us feel at home. Unforgettable experience, and Gemma resort will remain in our wonderful memories.

Everthing been great!!

There was so much to like about Gemma. The grounds were wonderful. Always kept clean and maintained. The pool was fabulous. Big and warm and full of activity. Meals were delicious. We loved the variety and choices. The freshly grilled fish and paella were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the Egyptian meal at alidino restaurant. Our housekeeper was so nice and always there to help. He left us treats and surprises. My husband got sick and there is a fabulous doctor on site. He sent us to hospital and the resort took care of the rides back and forth. They made it so much easier. Our room was big and had everything we needed.

My only complaint would be the staff in the main restaurant. They were a bit rude and not helpful. “Gemma time” was weird and confusing.
