Hotel Plaza Grande

Location brilliant. Staff fabulous. Buffet breakfast superb.

Room, overlooking a dingy courtyard with no view at all. As the courtyard held a drain, the mosquitos were horrendous. Keys to the room and hotel very 'fiddly'. But, overall, what one would expect for the price. Bring mosquito spray!

Perfect location for me and good value for money. Nice decor, clean and comfortable. Would recommend

No available taxi service was an unexpected problem when I left

Fantastic location and price

The doors were older and didn’t block sound well

Perfect location in main square. They allowed us to check in early. Friendly welcoming staff. The breakfast was superb for a 2 star hotel

House wine wasn’t the best. Uses metal keys. Not a problem to me but some don’t like

Centrally located in town square, secure parking for motorcycles all be it 10 minute walk away.Excellent evening meal

Comfortable, big bed, hot shower, they accommodated our bikes, hotel on the plaza was exceptional. Breakfast was mediocre but free; the room key was hard to work and took us ages to get out of the room; there was no view from the room. Walls are thin, you can hear everything in hallways and around you. Staff was very nice and friendly. Good for one night.

Very friendly host who spoke excellent English and seemed to do everything including breakfast.! Much appreciated having a bath after a long day's walk. Comfortable beds and quiet room at the back. The breakfast was superb. Loved the freshly squeezed orange. Really recommend. Position great - right on the Plaza.

It was a bit expensive but the breakfast was worth it!

Loved staying right on the Plaza Grande for a couple nights. Room was clean and very comfortable. And the breakfast is terrific!

The room was lovely, as was the location and staff. Included breakfast as very good. Coffee machine, pastries, toasts ham cheese and fruit

Quite noisy as I was the first floor so could hear customers and then unfortunately had a noisy women above me talking and bumping around the door until about 12 30.The loo was a bit dirty but it was cleaned again while I was out. The gentleman on the door was great about it. Just a small oversight qhen preparing the room

Lovely staff. Great location. Nice bar with great wine. Right on the Plaza Grande, with plenty of restaurants in the area. The breakfast was outstanding!

Friendly staff, easy check in and check out, comfortable room with beautiful view across the old main square. Reasonably priced secure overnight parking.

The room was small, but comfortable, and the location cannot be beat.

The reception staff were not always present, and the “bell” left at the front desk did not seem to work as it often took quite a while for anyone to appear.

The beds were very comfortable and staff were superb.

The bathroom could do with replacing. Mould around bath tiles and smelly drains.

Extremely helpful staff, great location, super food

Excellent location Friendly staffNice quiet room

Full of character. Room was large and beds comfortable. Good bathroom and powerful shower. Spotlessly clean. Well situated on the square. Super helpful staff.

Nothing! All good.

Characterful hotel with comfortable beds in centre of Zafra.

Thin walls could hear everything. Parking arrangement is secure but limited (10€) and half a mile from the hotel. Can off load suitcases outside in the Plaza Grande with a 15 minute stop. The breakfast was ok but the arrangements for hot drinks were difficult and not eco friendly The yoghurt was vile long life rubbish .Maybe because it was Christmas week.Zafra itself is very difficult to navigate narrow roads, few signs . Sat nav is a must but not necessarily accurate.I wouldn't recommend it as a stopover only if you have reason to be there

Location is right in the heart of city, breakfast with varied options, the rooms have nice rustic finishing

Bathroom - the door did not easily open, there was a drainage smell too

Great hotel. Great bar/restaurant. Lovely staff. Wonderful welcome by the receptionist. Had a delicious dinner in the bar/restaurant. Bar staff were great. Enjoyed wandering around the town of Zafra.

Soundproofing could be better in bedrooms.

Lovely wee hotel situated in a corner of the Plaza. Very helpful and cheery staff, good wifi and parking about 7 min walk away in a spacious surface garage site. Good quality continental breakfast with plenty of choice. We chose half board as we arrived Sunday night and weren't sure of anywhere being open for food . Obviously a limited choice menu which was perfectly adequate, could have chosen to pay more for main menu but not necessary. Restaurant was open!

Rather fierce air-conditioning but slept with window open instead which was fine, personally prefer it.Car is only allowed 15 min in Plaza to offload to hotel, apparently regulated by police camera! Front desk will hold your luggage for you whilst you go to the garage.
