- Cool location in the heart of Zafra on the main square. Great breakfast and great restaurants on the same square. Charming building.

- Staff was very helpful in checking me in. It is in a great location that is close to shopping and restaurants. I would recommend this place!
Cons -
- Our room had a window onto the square but there was blind on the outside that was broken so we couldn’t see our. It’s doesn’t even need a blind as there are interior shutters. Make it seem a bit claustrophobic for me, but I love a view and it would have been lovely other than this detail.
- There were some important issues to improve: the entrance light wasn’t working, the air conditioner was very noisy, and both the bed and pillows were not as comfortable as expected. With these improvements, the experience would be much more enjoyable."
- The bedside lamps were quite strong and general, not discreet or down facing/controlable. Shower head was slightly blocked and small, which was a shame as the shower unit was nice & large.

The location was really good - we got one facing the main town square. The communication with the hotel was great so getting in and finding the room was easy, and the room with nice and spacious, with a large bathroom. Breakfast was nice, with a selection of basic things and with very kind staff at hand to help with any requests such as heating milk.

Centrally located, great for getting a glass of wine in the evening and to observe the vivid spanish nightlife, view was nice, check-in was without staff but nonetheless without problems, clean, breakfast was in simple manner but ok.
A bit noisy (thin walls, AC), no wifi (very unstable), everything was a bit older but ok for a 1 star hotel. The pillow and mattress were both very hard. Parking situation was awful been cruising around for half an hour to get a spot.
Passable
Breakfast wasn't good - unhealthy, plastic, processed
The location.
In disrepair. A portion of the ceiling trim fell in the middle of the night and woke us up. They don’t even provide a bar of soap.
Loved the location in the Plaza Grande and next to Plaza Chica. The decor was unique. Perfect place if you don't have a car in high season; in low season we were lucky to find a parking spot nearby. Good price. Online check in meant we didn't talk to a person. Breakfast was fine. Glad we could park in the plaza to unload the car. System for getting in worked well.
Bed was a bit short; heat didn't work but the plug in fan heater did. The government registration system wouldn't let me check in properly
Been visiting for 20 years. Wonderful heritage property in fabulous historic location. So close to park , gardens and excellent line of shops. Walking and eating at night wonderful and atmospheric.Dog friendly and welcomed a real bonus.
Great location on the main square. Lovely restaurants nearby and close to church and castle. Nice breakfast. Warm rooms after a day in the via de la plata.
There was no reception desk.
location is good
airbnb, not a hotel, cold in the building, need to park far away
great location and lovely staff!
beds/pillows and breakfast need upgrade
The hotel is in a beautiful location and we initially had a room overlooking the square. However, the room smelled of stale tobacco and we asked to be moved, which we were the following day.The building is beautiful but the decor is tired and it feels like the rooms could do with some updating.Breakfast was basic but welcome. It feels like it has lots of potential
Tired decor and thin towels.
Although we were in the main plaza we did not hear the outside noise. The breakfast was adequate and the hotel has a decent price-quality ratio for only having one star.
We could hear a bit too much nocturnal activity from the people next door due to the thin walls.
The location of this property is just perfect! Right in the middle of this adorable square with lots of cafes and restaurants. We were able to find parking by the village park. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Hotel Las Palmeras is a cute little place and we enjoyed our stay.
Great location and a good sized room. Breakfast was nice but a large party had taken most of the food and we had to ask to get more. Nice decor and comfortable.
It's all just a bit impersonal. What a lovely place - the entry code just makes it feel a bit soulless. Even the lady at breakfast didn't even say hello.
Everything, it was the best place we have stayed in since starting our Santander to Malaga cycling trip. Beautiful setting beautiful hotel. Serve yourself breakfast great variety & plenty. Excellent value
Being an older person I'm not good at impersonal code check-in. However, I do realise that it saves costs.
The hotel is centrally situated on the Plaza Grande with several bars and restaurants almost at the door and most of the main sights of Zafra within easy walking distance. Our room was at the back overlooking a pedestrianised cul-de-sac and the window gave views across the roofs to the distant hills. There was a decent choice of food at breakfast. Mauricio tried hard to solve our problem with the wi-fi in room 208 but to no avail. While there seemed to be a decent signal, none of our four pieces of Apple equipment could connect so we had to use our iPhones as mobile hotspots.
In Spanish style, there were no pillows, just one long bolster which was too thick for our liking and of poor quality. The wall to the adjoining room was very thin and we did not appreciate listening to our neighbour's music and ablutions at just after four am when we would have preferred to be sleeping.
Location
Very worn out, air con barely worked, bathroom is old and worn, breakfast is a disgrace
Emplacement superbe dans le centre de Zafra. Good location
BED BUGS ! My wife and me were stung several times in different places ( face, neck, shoulder) during the night . We woke up during the night and managed to kill one bed bug. This problem exists in hotels that do not have sufficient hygiene .
