Amazing staff, location, room, breakfast

- The lady at the reception desk upon arrival at 21:00 was really friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She saw I was tired of travelling and really helped out to get parked (car), checked in, and settled. - Facilities in the room are great. Very focused on the needs of a business traveller. Perfectly well done!

- The restaurant recommended by the receptionist was very disappointing. It was that bad that it might influence the image of the hotel. - The atmosphere in the lobby and in the hotel corridors is kind of cold. The interior of the room and facilities are absolutely great, though.

Wonderful location in a walking distance from all major attractions of the city. Clean , with a good value of the money. Very polite and helpful staff. Simple and great breakfast , with some local specialities making your day brighter .

The hotel seems a bit older, but is well maintained. The hotel was clean, in a great location, the breakfast was decent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean, great location, friendly staff. Doing a multi-day bike trip and they were able to store our bikes in a secured room. Awesome breakfast with a variety of options. Comfortable stay!

Great place with great service, great breakfast and great location. I cant think of a single thing with the hotel that was not up to par or beyond. super helpful staff and lovely rooms.

There is no parking available on site and the closed parking is about 500m away. Not the end of the world unless you have older family like we do and its raining :(. But the public paid parking is fine and cheap so no biggie. The only real set back.

Location, spacious room, nice staff

The staff was friendly and helpful.The location was perfect to walk to the water and to walk to the large Sunday Mercado.

The Hotel Solaris is housed in a beautiful historic building in the heart of the historic district of Setubal. Most of the historic sites are a simple short walk away. The building is a nicely maintained example of Portuguese historic architecture. Reportedly, Napoleon lived there during his occupation of Setubal. I thought that the staff was great; friendly, helpful, and multilingual. The breakfast buffet was lovely and offered a surprisingly large number of high quality options, including the typical Portuguese breakfast pastries, but also more international selections such as fried and scrambled eggs,, breakfast meats, queshes, different cold cereal, fresh fruit salad,, and a cold case with a variety of sandwich fare. The interior of the hotel and the guest rooms are nicely restored in a simple modern style in character. It offers all of the modern features such as wifi, television in the rooms, and a small desk. I really like Hotel Solaris. I had a nice stay and would stay there again.

If there is a shortfall to the Hotel Solaris, like many older hotels, there is very minimal sound isolation between the rooms such that the sound of someone showering or guests talking loudly in a nearby room can be louder than ideal.

The location was excellent. We could walk around all the local tourist spots from here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We could leave our baggage with them since we arrive early. It was a short stay so the room was the best for our needs. The breakfast was also well served.

This is a gem of a hotel. The staff are all super friendly. The hotel is spotless, rooms very comfortable, and the location ideal. Although listed as a three star establishment, in reality, the hotel is 4/5 star standard.

Central location. Friendly staff. Extremely clean. Good breakfast. Basic hotel with no frills that was great as a base to explore. Room 112 was a generous size with a great front view. Good nights sleep as comfy bed and quiet hotel. Good hot shower daily, no issues.

We were happy with everything but the basic hotel facilities would not be ideal if you could not go out due to bad weather. No hotel evening meal available but nice places close by. Ideal for us and we will re visit.

Parking is an issue.

I think breakfast was okay, not many selections but not in issue for me as I don’t normally have breakfast. On the other hand my spouse does have breakfast and would be great to have more to choose.

Rooms are small and utilitarian. Which is fine. It was a very comfortable place to sleep.

The room was spacious, light & modern. It looked as though it had been recently renovated.

The location wasn’t that great but maybe we just picked the wrong area.

Fantastic location, walking distance to restaurant, waterfront , fish market, supermarket and more. Really helpful friendly, warm and caring staff, they even reverse our car when it was parked in a tight space in front of the hotel. Room was spacious, very clean, comfortable bed, good air conditioning unit. Breakfast was very decent, we liked the freshly made fruit salad and good selection of bread. Very relaxed ambience.

Hot water took sometime to arrive, but water pressure was great.
