A nice breakfast buffet and nice pool

The room was tiny and really outdated

We had a wonderful experience — the staff were incredibly welcoming and provided great service throughout our stay. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh and delicious options. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Setúbal!

Lots of amenities. Food was better than average. All but one staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. It was fun to see the PADL and Pickleball courts were available. Pool was too cold to use, but looked nice

Breakfast buffet had a lot to offer, but the quality of the food was OK. Dinner options were better in quality. One of the wait staff needs to learn that they work in an environment of world travelers and that not everyone speak and they were not willing to try and work through it. The bartender saw the issue and immediately came over to help

The staff is amazing, super-friendly, and helpful. Good variety of items for breakfast and options for food at all times. The kid's area is also very good with cool toys to keep children entertained on rainy days.

The smoker's area with an open door to the hotel lobby allowed smoke to enter the room.

Breakfast was excellent. Good variety of choice. The rooms were comfortable, good showers. And the pool was icing on the top.

The gym for way to small to be called a gym... just fit one tread mill, a bench and a wall mounted pulley machine. So only three people can sort of work out in it at the same time.

I had a very good stay at Novotel Setubal. The location is good, no complaints about the room in terms of comfort and cleaning. The Breakfast had a good variety of products, all very fresh and tasty. I want also to give a very good compliment to all the staff in special those allocated to the breakfast working tirelessly to provide room for all the guests and the lady in de bar that prepared tasty Gin and tonics :). The only remark was the pancake machine that was not working properly.

The wifi could be stronger, as well as the TV interface.A simple smart TV with a casting function works perfectly well without the unnecessary login and pairing steps.i am also a big fan of scrambled eggs - unfortunately, the ones offered at breakfast weren't great and felt too industrial

Staff was very nice, checkin was fast as the check out and the breakfast with so many fresh options, it was amazing!! Hair-Dryer was nice!

The glass shower door does not effectively contain the water, resulting in the bathroom floor becoming flooded, with no proper drainage. .

Door didn’t close properly, no safe in the room only at the reception. Iron board was yellow/brownish. A small drinks at a mini bar was €3.50 each.

Check in staff were surly, pool was closed - we were told if we chose to swim it was "at our own risk" and it was dirty and cold - it was the only reason we had chosen it. It is a long way out of town and not walkable with kids. The bathrooms are ok but the rooms are shabby and in need of updating.

Ease of location

Outside looks terrible. Needs to be upgraded and cleaned up. Our AC was only blowing hot air even set on fan or AC. We had to open window with no screen on it on the first floor. Sheets were rough and bed very uncomfortable

Good breakfast, comfortable bed and modern bathroom.

Sound insulation from neighbouring room and corridor is poor.

Accommodate us on the ground floor as my wife injured her knee and it is difficult to use stairs.

Free parking, good location to explore area with car. Multiple shopping centers around. Lobby, bar and restaurant areas look great. Friendly staff. Really great breakfast! OK internet.

Room felt small and also bit dated (only bathroom is renovated). Some weird smell from outside. Aircond is old and smells when heating. Kids corner is poorly equipped. Price is too big for what you get.

Spacious suite! feel like you can waltz in the bathroom... Very well equipped in general. The pool looks extremely inviting under the sun, it must be wonderful in summer.

The AC (which provides the heating function too) is SOOOOO noisy. If you turn it off, it is then freezing.

Property reachable by car. Parking available not an issue. Comfortable stay for one or two nights. Very helpful reception especially recommended local cuisine to try out !

More resources required to manage breakfast. Limited options. Room was clean enough though we felt that cleanliness can be improved.

Hotel would definitely need big renovations

Really lovely clean rooms and very helpful staff . Our flight was delayed and the children were exhausted when we arrived at 2am- concierge was really kind and got them fruit while we were checking in.
