Hotel City

Unfortunately I can't leave a review because they had a wedding and the manager upgraded my stay to hotel esplanada, which was a disaster. I wish I had stayed at City Hotel even with the music. Next time I'm in Tulcea I'll definitely book another room and stay here.

Good room and bathroom. Nice view over the city and Danube.

The staff was very kind, a little more than expected. They left a good impression on me. Taking into account the weather conditions outside during our stay at the hotel, the rooms were warm and the bed very comfortable.

The elevator did not work for the first part of the day after our arrival, so we had to use the stairs. The furniture in the rooms is a bit run down and the bathroom - although clean in general - would need a restoration (a new shower cubicle). Ventilation in the bathroom would be useful. Breakfast quite modest, but still functional.

Bad

My father stayed for a night. He was placed on the 5th floor, to avotd the noise from a party. He had no heating, not even warm water for a bath and the elevator broke in the morning.

Location

Unfriendly StaffOrdered a type of room (3 single beds) and got a different one (one double bed and one couch)

Staff was quick to support with solving a misunderstanding on arrival regarding the type of room and we were immediately offered a room that met the expectations. Room was clean and spacious, soundproofing was very good (there was a wedding party going on in one of the nights, but we did not hear anything on 4th floor). Private parking available. Basic but good breakfast, good value for money overall.

Room could use some upgrading: shower head was not functioning properly and there was no ventilator in the bathroom.The door on our room had probably been broken in the past and was not fully repaired.Balcony was very crowded with 2 air conditioning fixtures, that also made it difficult to sit there when the AC was functioning in the neighbor's room.Floor was lumpy in places most likely due to some previous water leak. Lighting in the room was very poor at night, with only a few light fixtures and no reading lights.We understood that the rooms were due for un upgrade this weekend, so all these inconveniences could be easily solved.

It's close to the center. It was clean, breakfast was good and people were nice.

Parking

It's very much rude personal. Very impolite. Very greedy for breakfast!Rooms are not ready for visit guests, very hot. There are no tables and even chairs in the rooms.It was one of the worst living at hotels for the last last 15 years Open arrogance and disrespect for guests.Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED!

The parking and rooms were great, the restaurant is open every day and has a variety of meals. All of the food I had was very good! The staff were very kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff. Free Parking. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is not very diverse, but tasty. Everything was fine with hot water and heating

The presence of a kettle, tea and drinking water in the room will significantly increase positive impressions from the hotel

Spacious room, great view from the balcony. The room is equipped with anything you need, a lot of space for luggage. The staff changed our room to provide a new one with balcony at no extra costs. You have anything you need at the restaurant downstairs.

A pair of slippers could be useful, but wasn't such a big issue.

Very polite hotel staff, which supported us with all our questions (even in English language). The hotel have a big private parking space and a passenger lift. The hotel room is very big, very clean and in a good condition. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel room was very quiet. The bath room is very clean too and have a very good shower. The hotel is located in the city center of Tulcea, very close to all public offices, city authorities, the tribunal Tulcea, as well as to the tourist attractions (Danube boat tours).

Only a limited food and beverage selection at the hotel breakfast.

At 8.30 in the morning, housekeeping knocked and did not wait to answer but entered directly. I was still in bed

Location easily reachable by car. GREAT parking. Big and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Nice and helpful staff.
