    Pros +

    • The staff were very helpful to us. The breakfast of eggs, bacon, ham, breads, fruit and cheeses was good. The pool was clean and welcoming after a day of sightseeing. Room was clean and the gardens bursting with beautiful flowers.
    • The morning breakfast featured homemade pastries, fresh fruit, cheese and meats. It was far more than a typical Continental breakfast.
    • It was a very accommodating staff & location. Love the tranquil setting but a quick drive to the town. Very nice room with balcony. Delicious breakfast.

    Cons -

    • The hotel is so outdated, very dark, not enough light bulbs anywhere , no outlets for cellphones in the rooms, the staff don’t speak a word in English, the bed is uncomfortable and we had to shorten our stay and find a different hotel.
    • The hotel is in a rural area and at night you could hear a lot of dogs barking for hours. The hotel can't do anything about it, but know about it if your a light sleeper.Although everything was in order, the hotel had a 80/90's feeling about it. So don't expect anything modern or boutique-style.A waterkettle / coffeemachine in the room would have been handy.
    • A socket in the room to charge phones. Had to use the one in the bathroom as could not find any others.

Initially the property was challenging to find. However it is outside the wall of Evora. Lovely view of Evora from the property.

Property is located a little far from downtown but in a nice area and breakfast was good.

Pool was a nice feature, even though we arrived first week of October. 1 bedroom offered 3 twins at reasonable price which included breakfast. Take way lunch for $2 was a good bargain

The hotel is well located, just outside of Evora. It's too far to go their on foot, but with a car it is a easy 5 minute ride. It also has a lot of parking space. The rooms are basic but spacey and in order. Everything was clean and works as it should. The staff was friendly and very helpful.Breakfast is a continental buffet. Since their were only 1 other pair of guest when we were there, it was limited (nothing hot and no cereals). But this wasn't a problem for us since we usually only breakfast light. We didn't use the pool so I can't comment on that.

Lovely owners, family run hotel. Fresh breakfast. Comfortable beds. Free parking on site.

A socket in the room to charge phones. Had to use the one in the bathroom as could not find any others.

A nice quiet hotel with plenty of space and rooms located on the outskirts of Evora city. 5 minute drive. The staff were lovely, very helpful and like extended family. Good for families.Had a pool out the back, unfortunately weather wasn't warm enough. Pleny of space to park your car.

Didn't particularly like the bathroom, no hot water at some stage, and there wasn't much comfort in there.Had some cockroaches in the room. Would have been nice to have some kind of living room area.

Was clean, staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great.

    9MichelePosted on: 11-12-2024

This was a very nice family hotel which was outside the center of town. It was quiet and restful. Breakfast was included and it had a lot of choices.

The major drawback for me was the lack of an English speaker at the property. I had read that you could walk into town and that would have been preferable to the nightmare of trying to find a parking place but there was no one who could give me the necessary directions.

    9AnnettePosted on: 10-28-2024

The location was convenient for our needs--not in the city center, more on the outer loop. The bed was comfortable and the towels fluffy. The breakfast was good-homemade pastries and fresh-squeezed oj.

The room was a little noisy--you could here the shower and the toilet flush in the next room. But we slept great!

pleasant, with a personall touch, nice dining room, good breakfast and helpful staff. Parking on site

    9DuncanPosted on: 10-23-2024

Location was great, a little outside the city into the country but only a few minutes by car into the centre and a wonderful view of the city from our balcony. Rooms were comfortable with enough space for our needs. Breakfast was good and the hotel owner, her husband and their staff were welcoming and very helpful. The swimming pool, whilst a little chilly, was a great bonus. We had the pool area to ourselves on our recent visit.

The only thing I would say, although we were late in the season, would be a couple of extra choices of hot food at breakfast, but it didn't spoil our stay whatsover as the choice of breakfast items on offer were great.

Location was great but Google maps is not correct.

Beds a little soft for our liking

Comfortable beds, helpful staff, plenty of parking - free! - great breakfast, good views. We stayed a little ways out of town intentionally to avoid driving into old town Evora. It was very easy to find the free parking lot just outside of the city walls and then walk into the town (I have some mobility issues and managed just fine).

We stayed in two different rooms as we ended up extending our stay and had to move out of our first (no biggee). Our first room was quite dark, second a bit brighter. Very few outlets in either room. There are no restaurants or stores nearby within walking distance. We knew this ahead of time so found a grocery store right after checking in. The location of the hotel and the availability of parking were important factors for us, so this was a good choice for our needs.

Lovely hotel just outside the town. Comfortable, clean and quiet

    9JeffreyPosted on: 10-7-2024

Hotel was a short drive from town, but was well worth it. The beds were extremely comfortable, staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. we enjoyed the light/bright breakfast area, as well as the balcony in the evening looking back at the castle. Great value in my opinion.
