Hotel Dorna

It was too long to wait for the food in the hotel’s restaurant- average time was above 1 hour.

Location

During our stay, the bathroom light kept turning off every 2–3 minutes while showering. In order to reactivate it, I had to step out of the shower, dripping wet, and move towards the door sensor. This situation was extremely dangerous—at one point I slipped—and turned what should have been a simple shower into a stressful and unsafe experience. My wife experienced the exact same issue.We immediately reported the problem to the reception desk. The receptionist admitted it was a sensor malfunction but told us that at that hour he could not do anything. We requested a room change, but he claimed no other rooms were available. Later that night, the same problem occurred repeatedly when I went to use the toilet, with the light turning off again and again.This is unacceptable for a hotel advertised at this standard. The lack of a safe and functional lighting system in essential facilities like the bathroom creates a serious hazard for guests.

The staff is professional and courteous, everything was super clean, great spa, awesome food at the restaurant and at breakfast. We will definitely stay here again

The list is long - everything was excellent Very nice room, great view of the surrounding mountains and the park, comfy bed and spacious bathroom.All the staff were amazing - at reception, the ladies cleaning our room and assisting with the spa and in the restaurant. In the restaurant, I liked the fact there were some plant based options like beans paste and aubergine salad. And the spa was just dreamy, with 4 excellent saunas. I appreciated the Finnish sauna having scented oils available as well.

Tiny detail, the wooden bed frame has some prominent corners on the floor which can be painful on toes if you’re not very careful.

Great breakfasts and other meals and excellent service. The spa is excellent – I didn't realise how many variations of Sauna you can have.

We were expecting a mountain view as in the description, but it was mainly the road and building outside.

The hotel is clean and spa is nice

Restaurant very slow, order 400 gr stake got 200 gr stake, never asked how I wanted cooked, waited 2 h to eat. The server said the chef that they had on that night made a mistake and picked up the wrong meat. Also, they were new and not aware how to cook it..got reimbursed the value of the steak and a bottle of wine for free however after you wait 2 h to eat and you can not eat the food you ordered because is dry and extremely well done you are disappointed. Also if you stay in the hotel you can not reserve tables for dinner or lunch-is first come first served. People from outside come to eat here too so the restaurant is always full and you have to wait even if you are client of the hotel and you have tried to reserve a table from the day before...

The hotel is very nice, rooms are large, the only small downside was with the beds, they are large enough but the mattress was a little too soft for me. I have some back problems and I prefer a mattress a little more firm but other than that everything was nice and we will come back.

What's not to like? The location is perfect, I got parking place and the services were awesome. My kids enjoyed, my wife enjoyed, my mom enjoyed. And, I enjoyed. The pool is nice and the food is good.

Great value for money overall, nice big rooms, spotless clean, warm, excellent food at the restaurant, professional staff and decent spa facilities considering the hotel size.

Central location, next to the skyschool

The beds were HORRIBLE, gave me back problems.The comfortable temperature was almost impossible to up, was too hot most of the time, poor ventilation too.

Bathroom odors

The hotel is near the slope, like 50m. The room we had was big, clean and cozy. THe beds were a litle bit lower than the avverage so was quite a hassle to get up. Not very comfortable as well. The restaurant is good and the food is amazing. I liked the slow cooked pork a lot. Breakfast if varied enough to get you through couple of days. Bad coffee though.

The spa is bellow expectations. Small and not well organised. There is no delimitation and people can enter with the shoes close to the sauna. There is no changing place to leave you outside shoes or slipers you used in the hotel. People that go to gym go through the same area as you go, so if their shoes are dirty so your feet are. There are 4 saunas: Finish; Infrared; Infrared with salt and steamy. They fit around 6 people in them. The swiming pool is small ~ 7X5m, but good for kids. You can not swim in it.

Spacious clean rooms.

Arrived at 18:00. Rooms were not ready for check in. We could only check in after insisting at the reception. This is not normal. Spa opens at 10:00 theoretically. At 10:30, no facility was usable. None of the saunas were not turned on, only pool could be used.
