Santa Cruz - Movement & Nature House

This is such a peaceful, secluded. There are twelve rooms. The staff are all excellent! There are several fantastic walking trails. Every room has an ocean view. This place is perfect for couples, or a single person, just wanting to get away from it all. I would not recommend it for children.

Poor soundproofing, even quiet neighbours seem like talking inside your own room. At least providing earplugs would be thoughtful.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. After check in they show the entire hotel. It's super calm and no screaming kids around. All spotless clean and very sustainable. Location is also great with plenty of free parking for your car. During the rainy winter days it still was warm and cosy inside. Perfect place for relaxation.

Room comfort & Design, design concept throughout the whole hotel, the lovely spa area. The peaceful silent location in nature with the stupendous sea views! The enjoyable walk about areas. Sumptuous delicious very well-presented breakfast! The beautifully laid tables. All Lovely!

Issues with the dinner - the kitchen area is not soundproofed and everything is heard in the beautiful dining area. Not enjoyable unfortunately. All food was pre-prepared by an off-site chef, served cold ( as was prepped way earlier) and not charged cheaply either! This beautiful place with this specific concept CANNOT falter in not having their own chef and concept dining! Was a true let down but the only one! I hope they change this asap as it will only bring them much success!

The staff went above and beyond. I participated in many of the activities they offered which was included in the price of the stay and was surprised at the level of care and expertise they provided. I learned so much about yoga, tai chi, and about the surrounding area from a local with Diogo’s Nordic walk. All the staff are passionate about their work and mission of the hotel. They also went out of their way to help us make bookings for activities outside of the hotel and was extremely flexible with letting us stay for a late check out since we booked massages. The 30 minute massage / pressure point thing with Gabriel was amazing and he was so knowledgable with how your body was doing with just a slight touch. Furthermore, the facilities were top notch with the pool, media room, and terrace overlooking the pond and view of the ocean being highlights. They have an honesty bar and some nice cakes out during the day.

If there was a restaurant on the premises it could be nice! They do offer lunch or dinner if you ask for it, but we didn’t try it as there were great restaurants all around the area.

I recently stayed at CNS Santa Cruz and I had a wonderful experience. The space was absolutely beautiful and quiet, making it perfect for rest and relax. It was equipped with all the necessary amenities (btw, the bed was very comfortable). Additionally, it was just a short walk from the beach, which was a great bonus. The decor was stunning, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

You shouldn’t connect 2 + 1 rooms by the doors , you can hear every voice.I came to breakfast at 9:30 there was almost everything ate and the service putted just one slice of ham checking if we eat or not. Funny Please do not make repairs work when the guest use the hotel.

Beautiful design in a stunning location with exceptional views. It can only take a small amount of guests so no crowds or queues.

An outdoor pool would have been nice but the indoor pool was lovely

There were no available activities (so no movement), gates to access cliffs and beach were closed, dinner was ok but not worth the 30€ per person asked, suite design was a bit awkward ( one sliding glass door for either toilet or shower, so little privacy there) and no divide between bathroom and bed except for some ropes… so during the night either you use the bathroom in the dark or you wake up the other occupant of the room…

I had a wonderful stay at CNS Santa Cruz. The food was delicious, the landscape was stunning, and the peaceful silence made it very relaxing. I have no complaints at all. Highly recommended!

What we enjoyed: the location which is close to nice beaches, the views of the sea from any point in the property, comfortable seating areas including the common room, water cooler for guests, small but well-equipped gym, a small spa pool and the availability of some aqua fitness accessories. We also liked the adjustable beds, which we found useful when reading or watching TV in the evenings, as there are no comfortable chairs inside the room.

What could be improved: the building has no airconditioning so the room can get uncomfortable at night with the heat and lack of ventilation at least during the height of summer (the room had between 24.9C and 24.1C in the evenings), we had to open the large terrace glass door slightly to let a little breeze in, and since the room is on the ground floor and there is no barrier to access from outside, it was a security risk that we had to take. Breakfast is too basic and simple, could have at least a hot dish or cold salad options, and good coffee (a minimum here in Portugal which is known for excellent coffee). Bathroom area design was artistic but lacked functionality -- the use of a single glass door for both the shower and the toilet area was a problem when both areas were in use -- only one can use it leaving the other totally exposed. Also, as the bottom part of the glass door and the floor had a space between them, the water inevitably splashes outside and gets the outer area wet. Chairs and foot rests in the veranda could be more comfortable. The noise from adjacent rooms are easily heard, even when the doors are completely closed, and not much privacy between neighbouring rooms especially in the veranda areas which have a low division between neighbouring rooms. As this is a recently opened place, it's quite expected that some details need refining to get them perfectly right. On the whole, though, we enjoyed the experience, will certainly recommend it to friends, and think it a worthwhile place to return to. We missed joining the group activities, as we were there for only a couple of days, but will make it a point to join some of them next time we're back.

The staff is amazing , very helpful and accommodating . The place itself is really comfortable ,the food is marvelous. Definitely would recommend
