    Pros +

    • The location is overlooking the cliffs of Sao Pedro de Moel, with the ligthhouse just a few blocks away. The dining room is glass walled, allowing you to take in the whole vista. Beautiful.
    • Staff , beer and snooker, view, location, breakfast, spa, gym
    • Probably the best hotel at the location.

    Cons -

    • I was there on a holiday weekend, and with not a lot of guests, the restaurant was not open for dinner, but nobody notified me. I was able to get a nice meal at a local restaurant, but I would have appreciated knowing in advance.
    • small tv in the room
    • We were told that the village would more authentic than Nazaré. Sorry, it was not - it was this hotel and the beach below. Nazaré, now very touristic, still has a charm. Stay here and visit Nazaré!

The hotel is right on the ocean in the middle of a very small village, practically in the middle of nowhere. In summer it might be more alive, in November it was very quiet. We didn't mind it but it's pretty far from anything.Since there were no cafes or restaurants in the neighbourhood we dined in the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. We had the best meal during our week in Portugal; their chef is top of the top.Good coffee and good choice of options for breakfast. Having breakfast with the view of the ocean was absolutely stunning.Wi-fi was not very stable, but it worked in the room.Good heavy curtains that blocked the light completely so we were not disturbed by the beacon.Good pressure of hot water in the shower. There was plenty of room for parking outside the hotel on the street, but it might get crowded in summer.

The mattress was ok, but a bit too soft for our backs. Ventilation\aircon system is old and a bit noisy; if it's off, the room gets stuffy quickly. The Hotel doesn't have it's own parking.Lifts are very strange, you need to use your room-key-card to make it move and it didn't always work from the first attempt.Spa is included but it is so small it's probably not even worth it. When we came, the steam room was cold, the sauna was extremely hot, both for 2-3 people max. One Jacuzzi was working, but only half of the jets. We were told that we only have half an hour, but when we came there was another couple there that stayed during "our time", so I didn't understand how it supposed to work. Since the spa was included in the price, we didn't lose anything.

Great location in front of the ocean. The room was a good size. The beds were comfortable. We had a side view of the ocean which was just fine. The breakfast was very nice with a good variety of choices.

    The location was wonderful

Booked a suit, but really it was just a large room, no sofa or balcony furniture. Windows really should be cleaned if you've paid for a more expensive room, with a sea veiw

Location was great in a lovely little town

The reason we booked the hotel was for the spa with jacuzzis ALL 3 were out of action!!!

    6DouglasPosted on: 9-12-2024

Quite a nice hotel, 5 mins from beach Nice restaurant to have breakfast in overlooking the sea

Reception staff have an attitude problem and should not be dealing with customers unless they get some training Our room wasn't ready for check in on time, we had to wait an extra hour. That was no big problem but they didn't even apologise and just left us sitting about and when the room was ready they didn't even bother to come and tell us. They were arrogant and disinterested and spoilt our stay.

I paid for the sea view and I wasn't disappointed; quality breakfast; the tradicional, but modernized, atmosphere of the hotel.

Exceptional view, balcony facing the ocean with the lighthouse on the right side. Rooms are big, modern and beds are comfy. Service is good, we loved this place!

    8NickPosted on: 7-16-2024

A very spacious and relaxed hotel with fabulous views out to sea. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Large, clean and comfortable room with huge bed.

Rooftop bar not open yet as season doesn't get going until August apparently.

    Swiming pool not avialable.

Comfortable rooms, great location and great breakfast

    8SvilenPosted on: 8-6-2023

Hotel was very well located, at no more than 5min walking distance from all restaurants, bars and beaches of Sao Pedro de Moel. We particularly recommend the Estrela do Mar restaurant. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast/restaurant room had an outstanding view over the Atlantic ocean. Good breakfast and even better coffee.

The sink in the bathroom was clogged. A 15 sec. hand wash was enough to make the sink overflow. The cleaning service was not optimized. There were days in which they were vacuum cleaning the corridor at 8:30AM and other days in which they were cleaning the rooms only at at 3PM.

    7JanePosted on: 5-29-2023

We had an excellent view of the ocean from our balcony.

The rooftop area was a shambles. Absolutely unusable and uninviting. A disappointment.
