Aurora Hotel at Reykjavik-Keflavik Airport Terminal KEF

The matress was horrible, very old and no support.

Location and friendly staff.

Room temperature control. Room vas very cold upon check-in and took a while to warm up. Shower not the best - slippery floor in bathroom and toiletries/towels very basic.

Did the job and was close to the airport for a long layover! The staff was incredible nice and quick to respond on booking as well!

I’m a tall girl and the best spread wasn’t made for me. Had to sleep crunched up in order to get under it. Nothing terrible though!

Close to the terminal, it is very convenient because we live far from the airport and it was just perfect for us. Also, we just kept the car at the hotel during our vacation (we stayed a night before and after our flights). The room was spacious and newly renovated (stayed on the 5th floor).

Facilities is not full , no refrigerators , curtain is not 100% blackout for summer

Staff were very helpful and kind, breakfast offered many choices, room was comfortable and of course the ease to get to the airport.

Great place, I would gave rated it higher if it was a bit cheaper. The high price makes the value a bit lower.

The location, the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were comfortable.

We could hear everything from the hallway and outside. Bathroom is als not soundproof at all. No body soap or gel was included in the room.

Staff were fantastic. Mattress was comfortable. The evening resturant was excellent with superb food and great staff.

The fitted smoke detector in the room had a blinding light that flashed every 30 seconds. The breakfast in the morning was disappointing with a limited cereal selection. The hot food didn't appear until 30 minutes after it was due to be open and was poorly cooked. The scrambled egg, sausages and bacon all had the same smokey taste. Only the beans had a proper flavour.

Very convenient hotel walking distance to the airport. Clean and decent room, very recommended if you land late at night.

Staff was kind, and it was a very short walk to the airport. Breakfast was also plentiful

Very outdated rooms

Great location, right next to the airport terminal. Great for travelers who arrive late or leave very early. Clean room.

The heater didn’t work as effective—my room felt a bit cold even after having adjusted the heater switch. The breakfast is expensive when not paid on site.

The location is great.

Old and worn out. Smells heavily from the car wash facility below the hotel.

Excellent location, 200 meters from airport terminal door! Furnishings comfortable if basic (typical Ikea-Scandinavian styling in more modest hotels), decent breakfast, no noise from planes landing or taking off. Instead of just dropping off luggage, we were given opportunity to check in early for reasonable fee, which included breakfast, and gave us a chance to catch a short nap before it got light outside for sightseeing (red eye from America). Made the first day in Iceland more productive! Car rentals are right behind the hotel, after dropping off our car our last night in Iceland, we saw the Aurora Borealis as we walked to the hotel!

The room was a bit cool and the radiator was by the windows behind very heavy curtains which heated the window area but not so great for the room as the heavy curtains acted like an insulation layer. Use desk chair to hold back curtains so room gets warmer.

Good location for a early morning flight

Lighting in the rooms was terrible in particular the bathroom. Room was basic with nothing special about it.

Location to airport- 5 walking minutes from hotel lobby to the airport terminal. Aura restaurant provides a tasty evening meal and the morning buffet is great as well.

Lack of towel racks in the bathroom- maybe they are in the process of adding them?

Great hotel, at the airport so great for early flights. Left too early for breakfast, but the front desk suggested a great place for us at dinner the night before.
