Island Seas Resort

Was on the ocean. Centrally located so easy to get around.

The rooms were old and dirty. 1 wash cloth for 4 person room. We were given 2 towels and one had hair in it. Only 3 pillows, floors filthy, one small shampoo bottle and bar of soap. Was never given items asked for. Restaurant not open during listed times

Has a high end resort feel all around. Bright airy room. Kitchen has most everything except cooking utensils. Easy walk to the ocean and well kept grounds. Strong wifi at the front office lounge area. Helpful staff when they are available (not always).

Unable to checkin until after 4PM. Must checkout at 10AM. Location not accessible to local shops unless taking the shuttle which ends service at 6PM.No vending machines anywhere. Drinking water/coffee not available in room.Beach towel registration needed.

The villa did not have wash rags nor enough towels. Not even rugs on the cold tile floor and not even a bath rug to put in front of the shower. The floor was dirty and roach crawling around. I’m sure there probably was better rooms but the one we had wasn’t nice.

Towels were not ready in the room. Long time to wait for beach towels and shower towels. Pool was freezing, not able to enjoy with family.

Both rooms were extremely dirty with one covered in construction materials and popcorn ceiling material all over the floor and bed. Shower in 1 room was covered in mold and was handicapp.

The staff was great , the bar section was good, pricey on the drinks, karaoke was good , it has a kiddos pool for my 2yr old

, one of the shower didn't work well , the tvs didn't work at all , no service, the internet worked sometimes wen it wants too. The beach they make it seem seem big but its just one small section with alot rocks in the sand , we stayed on the third floor nothing but stairs,

Friendly and helpful staff

We have been to the Bahamas many times. Unfortunately this place is very worn. Our shower head flooded the entire bathroom. Spraying everywhere. When talking to the stuff they fixed it. Which was nice. It is just very old in general.

Staying for few days a island’s seas was great except for first day checking in was very disappointing for us but we did sought things out after day 2 weather was great food little expensive but we did expect that cuz we were on vacation and didn’t wanted to cook all so room we stayed in needed a complete Reno the shower leaking tub back wall had a hole in the wall good thing hot water was running but we did enjoy every moment of our few days thank to all lovely staff

The resort is recovering from a Cat5Hurricane from 2019, Not in any condition to rent. The windows are literally hanging on a crooked, the lighting in the rooms are terrible. Old furniture you are scared to sit on. Kitchen with microwave that was unusable, locks on doors were latches because the locks didn't work. Termite on the floor. Electrical outlet coming off the wall, It was an awful experience and the pictures they show online is not what you get by a far shot. Was told by maintenance guys that yes the resort rooms are under reconstruction and that the Island is gone and won't be like it use to be for a long time. The same evening we got there, I made flight reservations to leave the next day with my family.

Resort is located in a very nice place. The beach and the swimming pool are very nice. In the neighborhood, you can find restaurant Maxis and the lovely food truck from Michelle with amazing lobster ? ? The lifeguard is very friendly and takes care of young and older guests

The hotel needs a refurbishment.

Very outdated, nothing appeasing about the room accommodations. the bed was small, and squeaked. No free internet, or cable tv. too quiet, lots of older folks, no light life.

The grounds are beautiful and the beach is well kept and maintained.

Arrival was a miserable. I booked courtyard having stayed at this resort many times many years ago. Instead, front desk was sending everyone over to marina side and third floor, about the worst rooms one could get. I had to argue to prove I booked courtyard and had to bring up my confirmation through email and forward it to them on their horribly slow wifi. I asked for first floor and was refused even though the resort was probably at about 5% capacity at best. Near the last two days there were hardly 15 people there.

Right on the beach, a view wonderful. And the maid service were wonderful. Large, swimming pool.

What we didn't like was that they knew 2 people were coming for two weeks, and we had to keep asking for; silverware, plates, cups, glasses, pots, etc.. Here's a list of our supplies; 1 small pot, 1 soup bowl, 3 plates, 1 glass, 1glass top to a casserole dish, 1 baking dish, an ironing board but no iron, no teaspoons, 5 forks, 3 butter knives, 2 steak knives, a good supply of large cooking utensils. NO barbecue, when we ask where they were, they give us a little charcoal cooker.

The resort was very nice. The view was great. The staff was friendly. Our villa was very big and comfortable.

Room was in poor repair - all plumbing was partially broken. A window fell out of the wall when moved. AC irregular. Missing dishes and utensils. Seems like they have not recovered from the 2019 Hurricaine !

Beachfront location. Good food in the Grill restaurant. Nice outdoor bar area. Friendly front desk staff. Available guest laundry services. Kitchen available for in suite meal preparation was great. Appliances were full size and worked well.

Our room didn't face the beach; we were across the street which was a 1 minute walk so no big deal. Our room did face a lovely canal which made up for the lack of beachfront view.The room decor was outdated and had a mild mildew smell. It felt like the room was never "dry." Our bedroom AC unit was very noisy and turned on and off all night.I had to ask the front desk 3 days in a row for an extra blanket. Front desk staff was very friendly but there are no excuses for not being able to provide 1 extra blanket for multiple days.

My daughter and I loved the pool, the view of the beach and the safety of the room.

Only that the convenience store was closed and it was hard for us to find drinks on the island.
