    Pros +

    • Great location, amazing staff that is friendly and helpful. Our young kid had accident after long travel day and staff was quick to get everything cleaned up with zero fuss.
    • The woman proprietor of this hotel was extremely rude.
    • The owners were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The layout of the room is very efficient, modern, and clean. We took advantage of the downtown location in Jinju to walk to shopping, restaurants, and check out the Namgang Lantern Festival at Jinjuseong fortress after dark. It was perfect. There is a breakfast room located on the second floor where you can prepare yourself some toast with jam, fried eggs and/or ramyeon. A fancy coffee machine grinds and brews fresh espresso or americano.

    Cons -

    • Older property but still clean and suited our needs
    • It appeared to be a “love hotel” which was a total surprise to us. When we made a reservation we expected it would be somewhat a chic New York style modern hotel in a small Southern city in Korea.
    • Sound insulation, especially around the bathroom, could have been better - I could hear people in other rooms flushing their toilets and using the showers in the middle of the night / early morning (take that with a grain of salt since I am a light sleeper, while my wife hibernates like a bear and did not complain).

It’s in a busy area but I didn’t hear anything. It was spacious and clean. I was comfortable and felt safe.

    7JoycePosted on: 2-6-2025

The room is spacious and clean.

Breakfast is limited to only bread, eggs, and noodles. If your not a coffee drinker, you might want to buy some tea bags at a convenience store.

Staff great and helpful. We were very kindly allowed to check-in early, and after our water bottle was mistakenly taken by the cleaners the evening guy managed to recover it for us (presumably by going through the bins), that was definitely going beyond his duty so we thank him for that.Room was very spacious and clean, with a massive bath, desks, tables, 4 pillows and large comfortable bed. Wifi was fine.Breakfast was bread (with a toaster), sachets of jam, unlimited coffee, orange flavoured drink, pot noodles, and eggs with a hot plate to cook yourself.Great central location for exploring Jinju.Overall, we thought our stay was great value compared with other places we've stayed in South Korea.

Daily room service was unexpected for us. We don't need cleaners going through our room and all of our belongings, unless we specifically ask for it. It feels quite strange that some people expect this service. Unless you are staying for weeks, there is no need to change towels, dressing gowns and bins every single day. But if you have no concern about the environment then probably you would enjoy receiving this service. Maybe there should be the option to display a 'do-not-disturb' sign for people that feel the same way as us.

Nice staff, big, comfortable rooms, great bathroom. Very conveniently located.

The bathtub that took up half the room was not as clean as I would have hoped, and the jacuzzi function didn’t work. Everything else was great though :)

The room was spacious and the neighborhood although in the business district, was very quiet. We did stay during the week though so, your experience may be different. There was adequate parking, no problems during our stay. The city market and the Jinju Fortress are a 10-minute walk away. I like that there was bottled water available in the lobby any time as well as cups of ice and a grind-and-brew coffee maker. The price includes breakfast that you have to prepare yourself: eggs, toast, juice, coffee, and cup ramen. It was perfect. There are Korean restaurants in the area you can walk to but McDonald's is over a Mike away if that's your thing.

Can't think of anything I didn't like but be aware that the mattresses are extremely firm.

    8MikefbPosted on: 6-25-2024

Breakfast was quite limited: eggs and toast, unless you enjoy Korean food for breakfast - I ate eggs and toast. The location was good for evening places to eat and drink and not too far from Jinjuseong (Castle)

A little more variety of breakfast food would be good. No other dislikes.

I really liked the kindness of staff, I had a problem with my car and they were very helpful. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. The room was warm. The bathroom is in the room despite the annouce says it is not. Of course, it is a Carlton Hotel, it would be strange the room has not private bathroom. The place is close to numerous place to visit I had in my plan and close to the hotel there are many restaurants. It is perfect if you travel by car.

After coming through a small alley and the reception looking pretty shabby, the room was surprisingly big and clean. It was a short walk to the fortress.Breakfast was interesting, no staff, but you could make yourself eggs, toast, cereal and cup noodles.

European credit cards weren’t accepted, but we could pay in Euro.

    9BravagirlPosted on: 10-14-2023

I would like to thank the receptionist and her husband for all the help they gave me, over and above the call of duty. The room and bathroom were large, very comfortable with all amenities.

The breakfast. There was little choice and by 9.30, most of what was available had been consumed.

    6FrançoisePosted on: 10-11-2023

We liked the size and cleanliness of the room. There are many shops and restaurants around the hotel and the lantern festival was within walking distance

The mattress and bed were very uncomfortable. No housekeeping was done on the 2nd day, but a staff member just barged into our room at 5pm without ringing or knocking, although it was obvious we were in the room (red light on the door).

    10CharlesPosted on: 7-1-2023

There were no breakfast.Lobby is not that attractive in comparison with room.Staff in check in is good but we could see inside room that some one was lying in the corner of room, looks un professional. in general everything is good enough.

    10Rachee11Posted on: 4-27-2023

The TV was very big, projector screen and amazing big bath and shower

    10IonelPosted on: 4-26-2023

First of all great staff, pacient, extremely diligent and polite, 24h receptionist, extremely clean!!!! Word of advice(see policies): check which cards are acceptable, usually only american credit cards, no VISA or Mastercard, take cash! or, there is a CU store 10m away with an ATM taking those cards during the day (7-23:00)…still remember that in Korea they expect upfront payment, unlike Europe! That beeing said I think it’s the best value for money stay in Jinju! Very very spacious room, excellent bathroom with shower and separate free standing bathtub, nice touch! very comfy beds, extra heating mat!! and overall great facilities (big screen TV, surround loudspeakers, even projector w/screen). Great location, walking distance from the fortress and city center, and still very quiet during the night!

    I would stay anytime again!

    9KhunPosted on: 3-31-2023

Friendly staff and solved my issue during the stay. The room was spacious and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast was ok (eggs, cup noodle, milk, coffee, juice, cereals).

    9ValeriePosted on: 1-25-2023

Room was bigger than I expected. Bed was very comfortable. TV worked well. Pretty quiet atmosphere.

Room was a little chilly but there was a heating pad for the bed.

    7MaiPosted on: 12-11-2022

The location and the price was what attracted us as it was 10min walking distance to the bus terminal. Not far from the big Emart which was handy. Bed was comfortable especially after our big hike to Jirisan National Park and appreciated the big space that the room had to offer. Even though it was stated that check in was at 18.00 we were allowed to check in from 16.00 - receptionist was nice and friendly.

The room was quite cold as we settled in but we advised the receptionist who said she would change the room temp which I think was done via a system that she had access to. The room warmed up a little bit. Bed also came with electric blanket but we didn't need to use it at night.
