Pros +

  • Everything was nice. We enjoyed our 4 days here.
  • We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Mardin! The hotel boasts an incredible view, and the building itself is an antique house with a fascinating history. It has been beautifully restored, preserving its charm while adding modern comforts. The atmosphere is magical, whether during the day or at night. Our room was enormous, as was the bathroom (family of 4). The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. What we appreciated the most was the outstanding hospitality of all the staff, kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Huseyn welcomed us with a warm smile that never faded, while Mesut, one of the owner and a fantastic art historian, became the perfect host. He arranged a private tour of the city and ensured our stay was exceptional. We highly recommend this hotel, it truly makes guests feel at home!

Cons -

  • Room that we got at the beginning was cold, but they changed our room and it was much better and bigger also.
  • nothing, everything was good!
  • It was a wonderful stay in an incredible old building, which might not suit someone who loves a modern hotel. I'd argue the old rooms made the hotel even more wonderful

Beautiful hotel at a fantastic location

Bed too hard, rooms on the small side, no place to sit, bathroom very cold, no way of heating, breakfast outside in the yard under roof, but 2 degrees celsius, so not the most comfortable mornings.

This hotel was cosy and unique. It definately gave the Mardin vibes you needed! The view from the rooftop terrace was the best part for me. The rooms are decent and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and Mardin has the best Cay! Host was kind enough let us select our rooms. I was pleasantly surprised by the door key and iron bar securing the door from the inside. Takes one back to the past! Location is great and near old Mardin shops and restaurants.

We had 2 rooms. The cups in the room we got were unwashed and the flask had leftover water and not cleaned. Had to get the staff to change it. The toilet flush was not working, which was frustrating at first since after a long journey. But it was promptly attended to. 2nd room's toilet was at the basement. So there's a stairway leading to it. Interesting but can be scary for families with young kids or scardy cats! Lights are also very dim, but I think this is just the character of cave or stone hotels. The part that no one mentioned is, this hotel does not have a direct access from car to lobby. We had to drag our heavy luggages through the several steps from the main road to the hotel. Took us about 10-15mins. It's crazier when you're climbing up with the luggages. So the hotel is better for those without huge luggages and have good arm and leg power.

One of the best place we have ever stayed at.This place has been recently restored, and it has been well done.We strongly recommend this place.People were amazing, and it is very well located in the old Mardin. We will chose this place again if we visit again Mardin.

Totally unique.Unlike anywhere else I had stayed before. Beautiful, lovingly restored historical building full of beautiful details in every corner. The upper terrace boasts views across the plains of Mesopotamia and downstairs there is a cosy shaded courtyard in the lobby area. A really atmospheric and tranquil place for breakfast. We spent 4 nights here and would definitely return in a heartbeat. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, we really felt at home and gave us an unforgettable experience.

Well maintained historic building in the heart of Mardin. Nice view at night from the terras with friendly staff. Definitely worth it if you like the authentic feel.

Hotel was listed as having air conditioning and parking. It had neither. Mardin in August is over 45 degrees C and the room was even hotter. The staff clearly stated that they would not charge me for the days I didn't stay (it was unbearable and I prepaid), which was a documented conversation, and they did not refund my money.

Unbearably hot, dishonest listing of facility.

Hotel is beautiful, nicely renovated and decorated. Staff is very friendly and there to help with advices about the city etc. Special thanks to Azad for helpfulness.

This hotel has truly been one of my most memorable stays ever, from the really hospitable staff to the amazing views, everything was truly perfect. The bedroom was really spacious, really clean and had comfortable beds. The breakfast was plentiful and really tasty. The hotel itself is centrally placed in the old city, with easy access to the main attractions and only a 5-10 min walk to the bazaar. You can tell that the owners have put in a lot of thought to make this a unique experience for their guests - we were lucky to have been treated to a roof terrace set up with tables and drinks to enjoy the view of Mesopotamia. The staff were just as dreamy as the hotel and its views - special thanks to Azad who greeted us on arrival, assisted with our itinerary and put in a lot of effort to make sure we felt at home. If I were to return to Mardin I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing, the service, staff and the hotel truly surpassed all my expectations. The photos don’t do this place justice be prepared to be mesmerised!
