The Spa Resorts - Lamai Beach

Bed was super comfortable, location was central and perfect everywhere was 10/15minutes drive away. Main strip was 5 minutes drive away. Breakfast was 10/10 great variety and as much as you wanted, room service available too, all the food was freshly made to order and clean ingredients. Staff were accommodating and polite, housekeeping attended each day. Resort had its own private beach section which was quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool was great especially for late night swims. The resort had a sister hotel which we were unaware of when booking but was highlighted as we checked in, staff informed us we could use amenities at this sister resort which we did on a few occasions, it is based in the jungle which was so peaceful. The pool is beautiful there. Staff were also lovely in that separate hotel.

The room was very nice however the bedside tables and main couch within the room were damaged and stained which effected the appearance of the room. On arrival we were informed of the spa facilities within the resort which were quite expensive for what it was for example the steam room was very expensive and were separate for male and female guests. Laundry service was available through the resort which we utilised, when returned within the 24hours we discovered we had laundry items that were not ours within our package which we were charged for, this was highlighted to reception, staff stated this would be removed from our bill at check out. To our disbelief on check out this was not removed and staff member was unaware of the situation and could not fix this. During the last few days of our stay our air conditioning stopped working, only solution staff corrected it by keeping the temp at 18degrees which was beyond freezing during the night hours, it created a cold dampness on the bedding and was very uncomfortable.

Quiet location on the beach with a nice pool.

Staff seem very inexperienced, the toilet seat was dirty and stained which broke and then was replaced with another stained toilet seat. Floors were sticky in the room. Restaurant was super slow and everything would come out one at a time..Management need to make sure the place is running properly and in tip top shape.

A quite, small place

The staff had no idea how to run a hotel. Nothing worked right. Non of the agreements was met.Daily failure to clean the room. Dirty linnen and bed sheets. Imcompetant staff, kitchen workers and spa staff was ultra low quality.Not worth any money!

Staff seemed clueless, room wasn’t ready when I checked in, food was vegan and boring, air conditioning was warm, room was small and could hear people in the next room clearly

A slice of heaven. Was so good I have already booked my next stay. The food, room and staff were all fantastic. The steam room in the spa is one of the nicest I ever been to the massages were also fantastic.

Access to the beach

It is directly on a duel carriage way esc road so you can hear all the traffic in the rooms, not relaxing at all and very misleading. We requested transfers from the airport and back but they sent a taxi, (i could have done this).The room sizes are extremely misleading on the images advertised. It wasn’t relaxing due to the location and road noise. The food was average and the inc breakfast menu did not resemble the normal menu one bit. Staff were pleasant enough but some reception staff couldn’t speak English and couldn’t help us.

The pool area was lovely. The atmosphere was great. The food in the restaurant was beautiful. The staff just can’t do enough for you. You’re on Lamai Beech .

In the bathrooms, they’re like plastic roofs, so when the rain came down, it was quite noisy.

The design of the room and the resort complex was boutique and not crowded.

The restaurant is medium minos. The beach is to shallow and you cant swim.

Peaceful and clean. Room and pool area were very quiet despite being close to a busy road. Lamai city and beach were close enough, either 15-20 min walk or a 5 min taxi ride. Great restaurants and lots of activities to do on the beach.

Staff was friendly but many of them weren't well trained and didn't speak english that well. We had one lovely receptionist who spoke better english than others and understood what we were asking - she also gave great advice on where to go and what to do.

The rooms are amazing and comfortable. The whole Spa Resort Team were absolutely courteous and always super helpful and friendly.We can really recommend the cooking classes and in general the inhouse Radiance Restaurant with its amazing Team.

Staff, pool, restaurant, massages and yoga available

“Deluxe” room: noisy, very short and shower not separated from wc (it’s a mess every time you shower)Service for the room did not bother putting the bed together (runner and extra pillows were left on the sofa), water non re-added to room.Breakfast “a la carte” : very little selection and variety.

Good breakfast, very nice beach near the hotel, nice pool.

Very annoying noise during the night in our room (something sound like an elevator going up and down), also a lot of noise starting with eight o’clock in the morning, coming from the next building (they rebuild or renovate it)

I don't know who decides the stars, but we moved here from a 4-star and it definitely felt like a downgrade. The rooms look good, but are quite small and dark. As other people wrote here, the toilet is right next to the shower with no barrier inbetween so it gets wet. There is also a noticeable smell coming probably from the shower drain. The staff is quite unenthused. There were several boats parked at the beach in front of the hotel so it was more of a harbour than a bathing area. We got it in a discount so it was okay for us, but we wouldn't want to pay the full price.

Could potentially add a few more dishes to menu as it felt a bit repetitive

The day we arrived all was great, the pool and easy access to beach was nice.

The food and treatments I would say were a highly priced. The night we returned from a day out, our bathroom was swarming with moths/mosquitos, the reception staff were not really understanding or helpful (they wanted our help to remove the insects!!!), eventually they moved us to a new room, to then find more critters from a lack of cleaning....we decided to leave a night earlier than expected.

Fantastic spot on the beach, small hotel, can see the beach from the pool, no high fencing, small hotel, not sharing with a lot of other people.

Fans in the rooms so that we didn't need to use aircon all the time, some of the staff at reception didn't have great English or follow up with problems like they said they would.Yoga was very noisey with staff talking around and traffic noise
