PRANA RESORT NANDANA

This hotel is absolutely stunning — truly a place that makes you feel like you’re on vacation from the very first moment.We were welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink and such a warm, genuine smile. The staff throughout the hotel were exceptional: kind, attentive, professional, and always alert to every small detail and request. You really feel cared for here.The breakfast was outstanding — honestly one of the best and most varied hotel breakfasts we’ve experienced. There’s a huge selection of food, including an omelet station, local soup stations, hot dishes, and even options suitable for children. Coffee is freshly made to order, and there are freshly squeezed juices as well. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.The room itself was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. It included a comfortable seating area, plenty of space for luggage, and a smart layout with the shower and toilet separated from the sink area, which made everything very convenient.One of the most touching moments was when the staff decorated our room so beautifully with flowers and balloons — such a personal and heartwarming gesture that made our stay even more special.The hotel also has its own beach club, which is beautifully designed and perfectly complements the relaxed, vacation atmosphere. It’s an ideal place to unwind, enjoy the sea, and spend a peaceful day by the water.Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely love to come back.

Possible downside:The hotel is located in a more distant, less central area, so there are fewer dining options within walking distance, and you usually need to take a taxi to get around.That said, we truly felt it was absolutely worth it. The hotel offers excellent value for money, and the quality of the experience, service, and facilities more than makes up for the location.

Hotel staff were top class. Genuinely friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The hotel facilitated a cab, a motorbike we rented out, maps, etc.

The beachside location for our room met expectations

When we had an issue with the lighting situation in the room they were unable to successfully fix the issue.

The resort is absolutely beautiful, eco-friendly, clean and has a wonderful friendly staff. The rooms are very very comfortable and the resort is very peaceful. The breakfast is also great with plenty of vegetarian options.

There were bed bugs in one of the beds but the staff promptly took care of it. Also the no change/cancellation policy makes changes during your holiday difficult. We would have liked more flexibility.

Amazing breakfast, great facilities and nice staff.

Everything about our stay exceeded all expectations. The staff were fabulous and nothing but helpful and lovely. The breakfast was always exceptional. The room was lovely and clean and well presented. We were first greeted with a lovely cold cloth and a drink. A five minute scooter ride away is a great little spot (Fisherman's Village) for shopping and dining (on the beach if you like). Scooter hire for the time we were there was organised by the resort for us. Could not have been easier.

First, let’s start with the deception: the hotel is advertised as a beachfront resort, and all the images on Booking.com support that. What they don’t clearly say is that the resort is actually divided into two separate hotels – one beachfront building with only a few rooms, and another across a busy road, where most guests (like myself) are placed. The restaurant and pools shown in the photos are located only on the beachfront side, while the building we stayed in had completely different, lower-quality facilities – with no direct beach access.This crucial detail is hidden under the “Important Information” section – something I, and I’m sure many others, never read. When we arrived and mentioned that we had booked a beachfront resort, the staff immediately pulled up the listing and pointed to that small section, almost as if they were used to handling this exact complaint. It felt rehearsed, intentional, and manipulative.The room itself was in terrible condition – everything was old, rusty, falling apart, and covered in mold, which is clearly a health hazard. The door lock made constant noise, the rooms were dark, and while there was a window, opening the curtains meant anyone walking by could see directly inside, leaving zero privacy.The breakfast was very disappointing – not fresh, barely any variety, and many items had clearly been sitting out too long and lost their taste. The only positive was that the staff at the restaurant were kind and welcoming, but it doesn’t make up for the overall experience.Also, note carefully: many reviews point out that the service and facilities at the beachfront building are much better than at the other one, which is a serious issue of inequality and misleading expectations.And here’s the most alarming part: after I posted my initial review, the hotel threatened me with legal action and pressured me to delete it.

Large comfortable rooms, great breakfast with an excellent variety, very helpful staff and amazing pools. The infinity pool by the beach is particularly stunning and relaxing! Although the swim-up bar at happy hour was fun at the other one! The sand in this area is softer than nearby beaches and the area is quieter compared to other towns, which we preferred.

While the hotel is split across a busy road, they still always help with safely crossing. You also can’t hear the road in the rooms either so it’s not really an issue

Prana Resort was amazing! The staff were absolutely incredible and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. You can walk a short distance to a 7/11 store for anything you may need. The Tropikana Beach Bar, on the beach side, has amazing food and cocktails. Our villa was on the beach side, so we had to cross a busy road to get to reception or breakfast but there was a man there stopping traffic to help cross the road. He seemed to be there from early morning to late at night. I would definitely recommend Prana Resort to anyone looking to stay on Koh Samui.

Gorgeous hotel with amazingly attentive staff, great pools, restaurant and beautiful rooms. A wonderful stay

Lovely hotel. Not too large. Friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities.

Nothing really

Rooms were really good, spacious and clean. There are two pools, one on each side of the road. Both were great and the infinity pool right next to the beach had amazing views. Fantastic staff, everyone was very friendly, especially Joke, and helpful and really made our experience at this hotel special. We were there for Songkran and the staff really got involved and made it a fun and brilliant experience. The water fights were all really good natured and the local street food stalls outside the hotel were doing some fantastic food. The hotel bar and restaurant did lovely food and drinks and there was something on most evenings, including a Muay Thai Boxing show and traditional dancers. There were a few local restaurants in walking distance, Noi Friendly being particularly good.

Not dislikes but just to be aware, the hotel is split across a busy road but the security guards were always there to help you cross safely. We hired a car (which was fine unless you are a timid driver!)so not sure how easy it would be to get around without this but I am sure the hotel would've helped with taxis and arranging tours.

We had the most fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. All the staff made us including our 4 year old welcome. The hotel is in a great area, close to Fisherman’s village and also the pier. I would still recommend hiring a bike or car to see the rest of the island. Also, across the road is the bar and restaurant which served tasty food and drinks.

Everything was great, particularly the very helpful, friendly staff always giving a warm welcome to all guests. The spa team was also very friendly and have great service.

The air conditioning in the room wasn't cooling, particularly in the evening. They came to check it once but it didn't do much to resolve the problem. Same problem faced with friend's room.

Good breakfast and location

Rooms weren’t very large. Needed more mirrors. Kettle didn’t work properly. No fruit or biscuits for extras as we were paying a premium price for the room. Bedside table very small, hardly large enough for a lamp. Just not as good as other bedrooms we paid much less for.

We loved how friendly and helpful the staff were. Our room was great. The beds were quite firm for some of our group but fine for others. Pools were stunning. Food was lovely. Breakfast was delicious.

Lovely little resort in Bangrak. Staff were amazing. If staying here you must try a cute little restaurant on the beach called Zanzibar. Thank you for an amazing holiday
