Our family just returned from a week in Koh Samui and we stayed half of our holiday at The Continental, and we are already dreaming of going back. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this resort was designed with families in mind. The level of thoughtfulness is simply unmatched.The Baby/Kid-Friendliness is 10/10: We have 4 kids, and traveling can be stressful. Not here! Upon check-in, we were thrilled to find a baby gate already installed in our villa. They had a full set of baby amenities waiting for us – cot, high chair, baby bath tub, and even kid-friendly toiletries. It saved us so much luggage space and stress. The resort's buggy service was incredibly quick and efficient, a lifesaver when moving around with a little one in the heat.Fantastic Facilities: The kids' club is brilliant. It has a great indoor air-conditioned space packed with toys and activities, and an amazing outdoor playground that our little one adored. Exceptional Service & Value: The staff are wonderful – always smiling, greeting us, and going the extra mile. Considering the quality of the accommodations, the facilities, and the service, The Continental offers phenomenal value for money. It truly feels like a luxury experience without the luxury price tag.Overall, we cannot recommend The Continental highly enough for families. It’s a rare find that perfectly caters to both children and adults, ensuring a relaxing and memorable holiday for everyone. Thank you for an amazing stay!

One Minor Note: The only area that could be improved is the speed of service in Amber restaurant. At times, meals took a little longer than expected, which can be challenging with a restless toddler. It wasn't a major issue, but something to be aware of.

This is a wonderful hotel. The facilities are stunning and everything - restaurants, beach, pools - is truly beautiful and well maintained. The staff is kind to adults and children.

It is not possible to swim in the ocean water because of the coral reef, unless you take a boat or kayak and go out into open water. I think this should be clarified because - although the pool next to the beach is of course an amazing option - not being able to swim in the ocean is a source of disappointment.

The property has stunning views, the staff esp Mr Nick made our stay very comfortable. The property has beautiful pools, access to a beach with calm water. The restaurants served delicious meals. We will be back again!

Sea weed in the sea at the hotel beach was so difficult to swim through . I love swimming and it was challenging to pass through every time. Maybe to clean up just a little spot so you can enjoy it more

We enjoyed a luxurious suite (a surprise upgrade), exquisite dining, welcoming staff, impeccable service, breathtaking views at this exceptional hotel.

The sunset view was amazing and the club lounge had a nice feel as well.

The property was very dated. The reviews and the pictures were a bit misleading. Shoddy maintenance in our villa (poor paint jobs, chips etc) old toilets etc. Rain shower wasnt working. Restaurants need a serious conceptual/branding/food upgrade. Beach was not well swept. Very limited food & beverage variety

Great service. The room was large and very clean. Wonderful dining options and reasonably priced for the quality that was offered

The open sea views were spectacular and so was the quietness and tranquil of the resort; possibly also cuz of the offpeak season we went. This meant booking of services and facilities were easier with the less crowds and the pools were empty. Massage session was relaxing and the spa area was a quiet spot on the resort. Kids club was great with quite a lot of activities planned for each day. Staff there was great at engaging the kids too. There was a list of planned activities to join for adults daily as well (both complimentary or paid ones). Overall, we loved the quietness and peaceful surroundings getaway for a retreat!

Food was mediocre for a resort tucked away on its own corner of the island. There was way better food in the resorts near the Koh Samui airport. We had to subject to Grab for better meals during our 3N stay. Staff service recovery was not the best too when we had some feedback to poor quality dinner meal in one of the restaurants onsite. For the price paid to stay here, the service level is really unsatisfactory for a big brand hotel at that too. Same for the AirBar they had with spectacular views but very underwhelming bar bites. We went to another hotel resort on the last day and their service was attentive & great despite our short time there. Other than food and meal options, found the facilities a little lacking esp if we consider the resort at its full capacity. There was also no private pool in the villa (only a shared one for every 3-4 villas) and the main pools were a quite small. Pools were also located far apart hence needed to rely on buggy for travel all the time. Buggy bookings were also very dependent on booking through their resort app as the concierge service for everything. Couldn't imagine if the resort was at more packed capacity. Rooms itself, a small bugbear was the positioning of the airconditioning vents which were fixed and blowing directly at your face while sleeping and gets a tad noisy if you're a light sleeper.Next time if we're coming, it's definitely a resort nearer the airport instead (also where the buzz of options are)!

We got upgrade to the biggest room in hotel because it was our honeymoon plus 20% off everything Staff were super friendly at all times and nothing was to much for them anything we needed Room was incredible

Nothing it was perfect

I’ve been to many hotels in my lifetime- I’ve never had an amazing experience like I had at the Intercontinental Kos Samui! Starting from the AMAZING views from any spot - the pleasant smiling staff, spacious rooms and every little detail that they could think of to make the vacation perfect. Thanks for the best experience in Koh Samui!

The fact we had to leave

The views were stunning. The staff were amazing. Loved that you could get a buggy to the beach. We had a spa it was unbelievable.

Nothing about the hotel. Would have been good to have more options to go outside the property.

Stuff is friendly and attentive. Great view. Good service.

It’s a bit too far from the centre.

Avoid for long stays with family

Location:The property is far away from everything (supermarket, restaurants, pharmacies, etc.) meaning you have to spend all your time in the hotel. Spa:Beautiful setup but massage is a disappointment.Food:Only 2 restaurants and mainly Thai food. We had to send back multiple plates as they were not edible. (Raw eggs on salads, uncooked seafood, etc.)Room:Requires refurbishing. Everything looks old and tired.Staff:Most don’t speak English.Entertainment:Non existent. Problem when you stay long with kids.

Walking into the lobby is probably the best view in Thailand from a hotel perspective. The beauty is a pleasure to see, and of course the natural art on display changes with the weather.It's breathtaking.

Getting to the hotel for a night check in and I was driving a hire car was an experience, but after arriving at the hotel, I forgot all about it.

Amazing views, staff were very welcoming and could not do enough for you. Service was above and beyond. We had the Club Longue included in our deal and value was amazing.Spacious room , fabulous balcony views and attentive staff who fulfilled every request.Relaxing and chilled atmosphere, a little paradise bubble. The best stay in our 4 visits to Koh Samui over the last decade.Would thoroughly recommend to anyone travelling to Koh Samui if they wanted a tranquil getaway.Kay and his team are to be commended on their customer service.

Air con was a little noisy at night, and we had a few problems with the temp settings, which had to be looked at twice. Staff were apologetic and were very quick to respond to the issue. Mattress was a little on the hard side if you like a soft mattress, but these little issues are truly just nit picking.

The boat excursion, all of the meals and the staff were exceptional

The stupid staffs of this resort are just like scammers and liars. I booked two nights staying at this property. But due to some reason my family with I had to leave and do check out earlier than the original booking after we had stayed there for the first night. Then the staffs agreed us that it was able for us to leave earlier and would like to refund the room fee for the second night to me. They just let me contact booking.com for the request of refund later and they would like to cooperate me to complete process of returning. But after that the customer service of booking.com told me that it was rejected by this hotel when I was going to start the refund process. They the hotel totally did not admit there had such agreement between us because of the special circumstance of mine. So totally fooled and lied to me. Bad experience with my staying?
