    Pros +

    • Amazing view over the islands and ocean
    • Beautiful view from the pool and restaurant. Rooms were esthetically pleasing for sure.
    • The staff, the room and the view - which is stunning

    Cons -

    • Breakfast at the hotel was very pricey and the free shuttle from the hotel to town doesn't start until 1030am so you are kind of forced to either pay for their breakfast or pay for an earlier shuttle to town.
    • Bugs in the shower, broken shower head, dirty private pool with cold water.Staff was generally disrespectful and unaccomodating. I received misinformation and nearly missed my flight. I was treated like an intruder rather than a guest. Denied entry to the on site restaurant without proof I was staying at the hotel (not actually required to dine at the restaurant). Refused service and waited 40 mins without a waiter had to flag someone down to serve me while they very visibly served everyone else before and after me. I raised the concern to the restaurant hostess, the front desk, and on WhatsApp and nothing was done. They actually ignored me instead. It was the worst experience in Thailand by a landslide. I hoped to make a permanent agreement for the large groups I host but I'd advise anyone to not stay here its not welcoming of certain foreigners and clearly certain clientele are catered to and others are treated with distain. This place is very inconvenient to get to. Taxis will try to scam you to take you all the way up the hill, not vegan friendly all they had for breakfast was some fruit and a crossaint for me. I created a detailed account of exactly what happened and I hope they chose to make it right.
    • We knew it was far away but we didn’t realize how it would impact us. We came with a baby so a scooter was out of the question (and honestly with the hill I wouldn’t have done it anyway) and we spent like 1000 baht per day on taxis/bolt. There are shuttle but they don’t take you to the center, just to the main road and from there you need to take a taxi. Also there no pathways to the rooms which was really inconvenient, especially with a stroller.

Gorgeous place, amazing views, good breakfast, the staff! Gem was awesome, super accommodating and knew how to help us out.

The staff was extremely nice, Gigi was amazing. The rooms are simple but comfortable and well maintained. The view is incredible and the pool is very nice and quiet.

The restaurant is a bit loud and doesn’t have many vegetarian or plant based options, but the view is wonderful and what they do have is nice.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive! The rooms were absolutely beautiful.

The bugs coming into our accommodation but to be honest we are in a jungle so this is bound to happen. Taxis can be quite expensive and unless you drive a moped you will need to get a taxi everywhere in the end we used bolt which ended up being a lot cheaper.

I had a fantastic stay at The Jungle Club. The highlight for me was definitely the room — beautifully designed with a perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. The space felt open, thoughtful, and serene. The views from both the pool and the restaurant are absolutely breathtaking — some of the best I've seen anywhere. Waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The restaurant exceeded expectations as well. Every meal I had there was excellent, and the breakfast was equally impressive — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.Overall, The Jungle Club offers a unique and memorable experience. I’d absolutely return.

The only downside was a minor issue with the booking. Although I had clearly noted we were a couple traveling with a child, I was initially asked to pay extra for my child, which led to a bit of back and forth. It was eventually sorted, but it added some unnecessary friction to an otherwise smooth experience.

Very helpful concierge who made our entire trip effortless, fantastic restaurant with an amazing view, very nice pool (and beers and snacks by the pool!), delightful cabin with plunge pool. Everything was in its rightful place and we had a wonderful time!

It seems that the mixing valve in the shower in our cabin was broken such that we could only have a cold or a unbearably hot shower.

Beautiful location besides the busy island. The bungalows are really beautiful and detailed, the deluxe jungle feeling is real! All the staff is really nice too! Helpful, sweet and reliable! The view from the restaurant is amazing btw!

The breakfast menu is something I would prefer different. Instead of choosing between breakfast “packages” it would be nice to mix the offered dishes as everyone likes. Food in general wasn’t “amazing” and of course more expensive. Drinks are good!

If you want a sterile, gray, new, overpriced, I could be anywhere in the world kind of hotel, don't stay here. If you want a boutique spacious bungalow with breathtaking views of the ocean from a brilliant restaurant that is perched high on the hill, this could be your romantic heaven. Everything is very competitively priced and the food and service from the restaurant is exceptional.

There is nothing to dislike about the Jungle Club. Just be prepared for a steep drive up the hill as this heaven on earth is perched high about the beach but has a spacious garden to explore and a shuttle bus to the main road below.

Beautiful location, staff all lovely and helpful. Pool great and the little white cat was great. Rooms stunning. Clean and beautiful, well cared for grounds.

There aren’t sufficient superlatives to describe this hotel experience. I have just returned from a 3-week trip round Thailand and Cambodia, and this hotel was by far the best. The stunning views, exceptionally beautiful infinity pool (which you could have to yourself as I did on multiple occasions), well designed attractive ‘house’, friendly and super helpful staff, delicious restaurant food - JC has it all - at a reasonable cost too. Yes, it’s a little out of the way, but that was MORE than made up for by all the aforementioned. Stay at least 2 nights , or stay longer if you want peace and relaxation and don’t mind paying a bit more for meals than you can find elsewhere on the island. Have the hotel arrange day excursions for you if you want to see more (I can recommend the land tour via 4x4). Wonderful to get away from the traffic /fume clogged main island roads. Honestly, the first day my daughter and I spent at JC was one of the happiest of my life.

No tea bags in the room. Tv and safe were broken

Beautiful views. Very private and not crowded. Excellent food. Loved our private hot tub. The rooms were very luxurious and provided everything needed including robes, snacks and mini bar.

There was nothing not to like.

Absolutely everything. I'm unable to find any fault with the jungle club. Most people come for the restaurant and the view. I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are outstanding. We had a suit with a plunge pool. Beautiful breakfast. The view from the pool is breath taking amd is only used by staying guests, not restaurant guests.. the owners have 4 dogs who are so friendly but don't come near unless you call them over. So peaceful, an absolute hidden gem . The shuttle.service up and down the hill is great, and it's very easy to grab a tuc tuc at the bottom, so the fact it's up in the jungle is not a problem.

    The views over Koh samui.

The smell in the toilet was dreadful. On ordering spring rolls and satay they arrived cold.. Very expensive for what it is.

The property and view was beautiful. The pool area and garden was great. The terrace is nicely decorated. The american breakfast was delicious.

My biggest issue with staying here was that they are not able to care properly for their hotel guests because too many people are visiting for the restaurant only. Lots of random people were walking around the pool area and places where you normally want to relax to take pictures. We were never given front seats with view in the restaurant during our stay because outside guests were always prioritized. The staff were way too busy and did not once recognize us, although we stayed for 3 days and used the restaurant several times each day. «Bye, thank you for coming» was the standard phrase we got every time we went out from the hotel. After hearing it for the 8th time it’s getting weirdOur private pool was very dirty, it did not feel like any other SHA extra plus hotel we have been to previously. The temperature in the shower switched between being ice cold or boiling hot. The wifi in our suite was straight out terrible. I notified the staff several times about this issue but nothing changed. I asked them 2 times if there was anywhere on the property I could sit to get better reception but they kept ignoring my question. Our bathroom had big windows without blinds so that people from the street could see right in. The window is placed right outside the shower. We had 120CC scooters and drove up the hill. If total weight is more than 90kgs you will struggle, even with full speed. I had to get off when we arrived with our luggage on our backs and weigh 80kgs. Laundry was 80baht per kg. We were charged 480baht for two medium size plastic bags of clothes. We delivered it at 11:00am and it was not ready until 20:00pm the next day. We were told that it would be delivered to the room but we had to go pick it up in reception.

Location , views, quietness, lovely bungalow, bed and pillows to comfy , so clean, stunning .

    Nothing I didn’t like

Beautiful setting , beautiful views. Very nicely landscaped and designed . Nice staff in the reception . Very nice spacious room.

The quality of the food and the staff in the restaurant average .

    10BonniePosted on: 3-11-2025

The beautiful location that overlooks Ko Samui. It is a really nice day for a day or two to really unwind. The Villa rooms are absolutely beautiful the prettiest I’ve ever seen. I didn’t want to leave. The food is amazing. Especially breakfast.

I don’t know if this is actually a downside, but it is away from everything. But that was exactly what I was looking for.
