Moonhut Bungalows

The location is worth it. Sound of the waves never parts you on your stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay.

It can be better in some ways.

Very nice bungalow community surrounding a very nice bar on a beautiful strip of beach, nice and quiet. Nice porch, good internet

Perfect spot if you're looking for a laid back, not pretentious, old school Thai beach hut to stay (still airconditioned though). A few comfortable huts beneath palm trees, directly at the beach. Walk bare foot from your bed tot the beach. Super friendly staff. Beach bar that feels like your student house living room. Short walk on the beach to the china town street of Maenam Beach. Not much else to do.

It felt a bit old and rustic. But this is perfect if you want to stay away from the high end pretentious resorts.

I have been trying to think of how my stay a Moonhut Bungalows could have been better. Absolutely nothing comes to mind though. I loves my stay here for 2 weeks and will be coming back next year for 4 weeks. For me, it was like being in paradise!

There was nothing that I didn't like!

We had hut #3. It had a perfect view of the ocean with a few palm trees in front. We enjoyed early morning coffee just sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. The staff was super friendly and worked very hard. They even raked the sand in front of the bungalows every morning. And the open air restaurant/bar connected to this resort was great to eat at and hang out in. I recommend the Burma salad. Yum! Moonhut Bungalows was really our highlight on our trip to Koh Samui.

Location peaceful, clean huts, very very nice people always ready to help. Jane is super friendly, super knowledgeable and I like to recommend this place 1000 times

Probably one of the last hidden gems on the island. Directly at the beach with a lovely little restaurant and amazing massage place.

We are coming to moonhut for the last 10 years and love it. The bathrooms could do a renovation to keep the place up to date.

Comfortable bungalows in the trees, right on the beach. Had aircon and was clean- Lovely staff! Loved our stay here ☺️

A wonderful place! We had chosen a small bungalow with fan. It felt like in the good old days of Thailand before the boom of tourism.The location is perfect: on the beach, in a quiet area, with friendly staff at the beach restaurant. I recommend 100%

The property is located near the beach and is good value for money. The cleaning staff is very nice.

The bathroom was really smelly. And the roof above the bathroom was leaking. A tree fell onto our bungalow during heavy rain. The roof had several leakages and the room was full of water. Workers climbed on the roof without checking if somebody was inside. The electricity was still on, even though the room was covered in rainwater. We had to check out early, but didn’t receive any refund or apology from the host. When we went to the reception during the opening time at 9am nobody was there. She asked if we needed a taxi, but didn’t even offer a discount.

It had the best beach of the whole Bay!!!The bungalows were laid out very nicely, and the property had very large and very good restaurant and bar!!!Down the road, a short walk it was a nice nighttime food market, where you could get drinks and supper!

We really enjoyed our stay at Moonhut bungalows. The staff are lovely, especially in the restaurant. It’s in a great location on the beach.

Nice spot right on the beach. Generally food prices are higher om Koh Samui, but the dishes in the restaurant was very tasty and delicious. Maybe Moonhut is the last one of this kind of places considering neighborhooding upmarket resorts! We enjoyed our visit a lot!

Jane without a doubt was a great manager (not very impressed with her taxi prices)but very good at her job.staff particularly the cleaning staff happy friendly singing every day .but the owners need to do some serious work about the flooding problems and yes ,it can be fixed .burst pipes a huge problem and unlike neighbouring resorts ,the floods from sea and yes burst pipes just not good enough .but overall I loved my stay there .would I go back only if I knew the flood issues were addressed.moonhut owners get you act together .
