Grand Thai House Resort

The pool was great for the kids and the corner unit we had (room 101) was surprisingly quiet for the hotel being in such a prime location.

Dirty rooms. Bugs. Dirty mattress and lamps.

Good location and away from noise but just a 2 minute walk to bars, restaurants, 7/11. Nice pool area, big rooms, staff are super friendly and carried my bag to room, little puppy that hangs around too! I went back and stayed for 1 more night a week later, in my second room there were some of them little ants but I feel most hotels have them in Thailand so didn’t bother me.

Incredible location, right on the strip but tucked away so very quiet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We locked ourselves out of the room one day and the staff were so helpful

I enjoyed my stay. The location was great. A little bemused as to why there was a kettle but no cups. When I enquired I was told there were cups in the room. I looked everywhere and only found glasses. As I am a tea drinker I was not going to risk putting boiling water into a glass. I bought a cup. Room was sufficient but not a lot of room. Bed was very comfortable.

We liked how close the property was to Lamai beach and other attractions like the overlap stones. Pool is decently sized and neat. Rooms are cleaned every morning free of charge and the overall cleanliness of room was 10/10. Right on doorstep of main road with shops and 7/11 five mins walk away.

At the same time, the rooms on the ground floor right at the entrance we were put in are directly opposite a popular restaurant which has big flood lights on most of the night and also the road/ car park is situated right on the doorstep of the rooms (which of course we understand is unavoidable, but still not enjoyable when wanting to sleep) so all night and early morning you hear mopeds and people walking by very loudly. Also, hotel sheets were grey and very worn material didn’t feel overly hygienic for the price you pay- fresh, white linens would go miles! Keep in mind if you were wanting a more peaceful sleep!

Clean rooms,located on the main street of Lamai beach-but not noisy,clean pool, close to the beach-5min walk.

I picked GTH as somewhere new to try & loved my stay for 7 days! I have re-booked another 6 days in MarchI got a room top floor block b which is at the back! Room was comfortable, clean & got a good nights sleep during my stayStaff are very friendlyPool is greatHad a few small problems with room: aircon failing, leak under sink, no tv but all were sorted outIm going back & recommend GTH

Location very good. Away from bust main road and 2 minutes to beach. Staff helpful and friendly. Spacious room and balcony.

Staff were really lovely. Our room was really nice and had a large balcony. We loved the pool and was right in the heart of Lamai but no noise could be heard in the hotel. We were very happy here.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here, staff are amazing. Location is perfect and great value for money

Great location, on a busy road but no noise. Very clean hotel. Staff absolutely incredible, especially the cleaners! They also have 2 small dogs which made my day every morning when I woke and went downstairs.

Good central area in Lamai 10 minute walk to the beach. Laundromat was a 1 minute walk outside the hotel and plenty of food and bars nearby. 7/11 is abit further away maybe a 5-10 minute walk (big c mini is closer). 10 minute walk to Lamai night markets

Door didn't even lock properly and could easily be pulled open as door handle was breaking. Very small room with barely any walking space. Something was constantly leaking in the room and under our bed all the way to the bathroom always had a big puddle. TV channels were rushed with static. Pool is infested with mosquitos

Right in the middle of Lamai and about 100 walk from the hotel . The rooms were cleaned every day and free water every day the staff were great also couldn't do enough for you

Staff was really nice and helpful,they upgraded our room after request. Very nice,quiet location yet close to the Lamai beach and many restaurants and shops.

We booked the room on ground floor,but it wasn't in the good condition. Bathroom door cannot be closed and at the first look room needed a good maintanance. But staff was really nice and upgraded our room after request. We received one on the first floor with a pool view and that one was better.

Clean daily, friendly, center of action but peacefull, nice swimmingPool.

Building needs maintenance but I think this applies to almost all hotels in Thailand so far I have been.

Decent location, close to the beach but very touristy restaurants and cafes around. Was quiet and peaceful regardless.

Felt a bit old fashioned, especially the doors. Didn’t feel the most secure.
