Baan Khao Hua Jook

Very nice and calm place only 10 minutes away from Samui Central. Our apartment was lovely and the cleaning staff was wonderful. In the town centre we had access to multiple food markets, Muy Thai fight, grocery store and local food joints.

A little pricier than I anticipated paying but lovely nonetheless.

The pool and restaurant area looked incredible and the rooms are amazing. I loved the windows and the view. The bed was comfy too!

The shower in our room would overflow and leak. It looks great but isn’t the most practical. It struggles to get hot. By the bed it can get quite hot as ac not fully reaches.

Cleanliness, friendly staff, aesthetics.

There is no elevator, and with our room on the second floor, we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs ourselves.The location isn’t great; it’s a 15-minute walk to reach any nice areas, and the walk itself is unpleasant. The staff doesn’t speak English, making communication super difficult.The room looks nice but has many problems. The shower has no glass partition, so water goes everywhere, and the water pressure and temperature are inconsistent. The room is poorly lit, which is very annoying and frustrating at night.The rooms are generally clean, but there are no “Do Not Disturb” or “Please Clean” signs for the door. Without these, you have to find the cleaning staff yourself to request service. There’s also no phone in the room, making it hard to contact reception if you need anything. After 10 PM, only a security guard is present, and they barely speak English. The room doors are old and don’t feel secure, which made us feel unsafe.The walls are thin; we could hear everything from neighboring rooms. The pool was dirty and was green, though the surrounding area and restaurant look nice.Overall, the hotel’s many problems overshadow its few good points. We wouldn’t recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Everything!!! No complaints, bedroom amazing, very clean, staff very nice, breakfast good, pool small and nice

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful always. The room was just like the pictures/ even better and the view was really nice from the room.

Only thing I could think of was our air con could have worked slightly better but apart from that everything was super.

This property was just beautiful! So clean, spacious and amazing views from the hotel room. The pool, restaurant and bar area were amazing, and added to such a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The location of the property was very convenient, making it very easy to access Chaweng by foot (and even quicker by vehicle!!). We would definitely return to this gorgeous property!

Breakfast till 2 pm

It's a long way from the beach and there are a lot of cars. If you want to walk. the hotel doesn't have an elevator. You have to use stairs and there is no luggage delivery staff. You have to do it yourself.I have to pay a lot of money for a taxi because the night is dangerous for us. The hotel is good but noisy in the morning because of the cleaning staff next door

Clean, safe room with plenty of space. Good bathroom and comfy bed. Pool was great with the restaurant right beside it, never too busy.

Bit out of the way of everything, no convenience store or restaurants etc right outside (about a 10min walk).

A great location, easy walk into town. And good if you are driving. Clean, tidy, good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Some of the external doors need a bit of work, they don't shut properly , and.this would help keep the mosquitoes out.

The pool, the breakfast and the room

The pool was amazing, excellent staff, totally private villa, and excellent value for money.Nice front yard, and a fully fenced in private property for yourself.Spacious rooms, and just a great private vibe overall.

You may not be able to tell from the pictures, but the villa is basically 3 separate rooms (BR 1, BR 2, and Kitchen) that all don't connect through a hallway. They all have their own doors to the outside, which means that you need to go outside just to get from the BR to the kitchen. You also need to open and close all the doors behind you to prevent mosquitos (instead of just one main door like in a typical villa or apartment).Even worse, is that the bathroom and shower are not en suite, which means you need to go outdoors to get to and from the shower. The shower, toilet, and vanity area are all not air conditioned so it can get real hot while you use the bathroom or shower which is annoying.The villa could also be a bit cleaner.Location is OK...

We were there during the ‘off season’ and they were doing reservations. The pool was dirty, the gym was closed and the restaurant was under renovations

Friendly staff and comfortable villa

Although the staff were nice and helpful and the villa was in good condition, our experience at this hotel was quite strange. The hotel was advertised as a resort, but this was not the case. We stayed for three nights in one of the villas but did not see any other guests during our stay. There was a lot of maintenance work going on, which we were unaware of until arrival, so we couldn’t use any of the facilities including the public pool, fitness centre or restaurant. There were workmen everywhere, and as a group of eight young women, we did not feel comfortable and felt unsafe.The villa was spooky, with strange noises coming from some of the rooms. We noticed an outdoor room at the back of the house on the grounds of our villa with a bed frame, a lamp, and a toilet. It seemed odd, but we didn't think much of it until the final night when we saw lights flickering in there and appeared as if a person was in there. The next morning, we raised this issue with the staff, as it was evident that someone was sleeping there, this made us very uncomfortable and feeling unsafe, especially since one of the bedrooms was separate from the main villa.The staff member giggled when we showed her the back room and told us to come back in ten minutes. She then refunded us for two nights in cash without asking any questions. We found this very strange and would not recommend staying here.

The hotel room was clean

During my recent stay at this Hotel, I found the accommodation to be generally satisfactory with comfortable room. However, I must mention a significant downside: the ongoing construction at the hotel and in front of it. Despite the hotel's efforts to maintain a pleasant environment, the presence of the construction site detracted from the overall experience. And because of that , you could not open the window blinds nor the window curtains. Also the air conditioner was very noisy during the night , as because of the heat you cannot sleep without it being turned on. Also at about 5.40pm, the hotel restaurant was already closed .

Good location, clean rooms, lovely decor. Stay was okay if you are using it to drop bags and just a place to sleep

had to move rooms 3 times as the shower in rooms either the drain did not work or the shower head was faulty. In final room got fed up and had to just keep turning the shower on and off while using it to let the drain catch up. Pool area was nice however one of the days we went down in the morning, the water was very green and dirty had to ask twice if it could possibly be cleaned as there was no way of swimming in it, did not happen until the next day. Locks on balcony door have to be fixed as managed to get locked out and had to call down for assistance. Only serve breakfast food on till 12 after this there is no food or any staff at pool bar to be able to get a drink. Gym facility was not function-able.

Very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed for an amazing holiday. We rented scooters also which was very handy and convenient. Staff were very friendly and service exceptional. Highly recommend.

The staff were lovely. Pool and bedroom were very nice.

They don't offer pier-hotel or airport-hotel transfers, which many hotels in the area do.

I really liked this place. Beautiful big room. Nice to be close to everything but still a bit more peaceful than the Chaweng beach area. You should have a scooter to get around. The people working there were always so nice and helpful and the cleaning was great.If you drive your scooter down to the main road and take right - in like 5-6 minutes in this main road they had a really good food night market with so many options and cheap (more like lokal market and better than the rest of the markets).

The food was not any good and they had few options (no Thai food). I manage to lock myself out on the balcony - the door closed and I couldn’t open it again from outside so just be careful with this.
