Samui Buri Beach Resort

The hotel is right on the beach in a quiet location, the beach and water were great, not crowded at all.The hotel is a traditional one, but it looks very good better than the pictures, the room was huge, with comfortable bed and pillows, also a big terrace to enjoy coffee or a drink. The hotel has a great pool and gym, sufficient sunbeds, and good breakfast.

The fact that I can hear very clear the people from next room, because the rooms are separated by a door, instead of a wall. That door should not be there, as it's like sharing the room with your neighbours, no privacy.

It wasn’t very busy, which was nice. It is a huge place with lots of cabins and rooms. It felt quite remote, which I liked but there were plenty of good restaurants around. We had a large room and terrace, and a beautiful big bathtub. The grounds were very well kept up and decorated nicely. The beach access was great and the pool was large. Everything was very clean and the staff were all very nice and helpful.

It is in need of remodeling. The appliances and the faucets were quite old. There wasn’t much storage for our belongings. The breakfast was also very average with industrial pastries though the Thai food was good. We ordered lunch one day and that was very good.

Beautiful property with an amazing pool and pretty lobby. Rooms are big and very comfortable. We enjoyed to chairs by the pool and the beach. The gym is very nice and near the beach! We were able to stay longer on the day of check out and enjoy the beach and the pool, with showers outside and near the gym.

I believe it is the staff's responsibility to clean the beach in front of the resort. The beach could have been cleaner. Breakfast ended at 10:00 am; we would have preferred until 11:00 am. Vacation hours!

The location was too quiet and we had to travel far to find better attractions. The beaches are full of debris and not cleaned.

The staff were very kind and helpful .It has a beautiful beachfront and large pool.The room is spacious and organized and the daily cleaning is well done.While it is further than the main markets it's still really close to the pier and the fisherman market.It has a quiet and secluded vibe.

Location might not be ideal for everyone and there aren't many restaurants close to the hotel.Gym was quite small as well.

Really big, private and spacious rooms. Buffet breakfast had lots of variety.

So far away from main strip of shops

Good place to relax - very quiet at nights, nice beach, only few people around from outside. Really like it is far away from night life! Staff is quite helpful, barbecue on the beach was amazing, as well as Thai music at dinner.

Aircon in the room (villa) is the greatest disappointment ever!!! It is old, super noisy, not possible to switch to low speed mode, also it is located right over the bed - this is truly disaster! It must be replaced to new modern and quiet model. Another small disappointment is the absence of spa in the hotel, just a beach massage - but this is manageable, no so big issue comparing with Air conditioner nightmare.

Extensive breakfast, lovely pool, very peaceful location, room was huge and spacious, decor is old style but all neat/tidy/clean so it feels lovely, pool access outside our door on semi-private terrace - lovely, small local restaurants and family friendly massage places

not really the hotel itself - we didn't realise it is quite a drive to other locations. We used Grab to get to Bophut/Chaweng/Lamai for dinners most evenings.

Lovely resort right by a beautiful beach. Great pool with a bar, good breakfast, and very helpful and kind staff. Our room was very large and had its own pool. Very close to the ferry dock for Koh Phangan.

It was rather far from the airport and Central Samui, but for some that could be a benefit.

Great location, right on the beach. We stayed in a grand pool Villa and these are lovely. Lots of space and a small pool of your own.

We were here 7 years ago and I don’t think it is quite as good as it was then. I know they had a hard time with the damage to the tourist trade because of Covid but I think they still need to make some basic improvements.

Staff all friendly and helpful. Fabulous big room with separate lounge area and outside private pool. Public pool area was nice and spacious with lots of sunbeds, though had to grab early sometimes. Breakfast had many options and there are lots of super places in the village to eat and drink. Village was beautiful, friendly locals and like a step back in time to old Thailand. The views over the beach were stunning however it was a very steep angle to walk along and sea was very rough and washed up a lot of seaweed, bottles and mess on the beach so didn't visit it much. All in all a nice hotel and facilities but did feel a little tired and 'could do better' with a bit of maintenance and love.

Our private pool was ice cold (time of year maybe but also sited in much shade) so we couldn't use it which was a shame. There was a lack of tables at breakfast and a few times we left as nowhere to sit. There was no 'bar' in the evening, the daytime opened up a pool bar but then it closed at dusk which was a shame, nowhere to sit and relax with a drink or meet people so we went into the village. Felt like a lot of attention to detail was needed to make a few things better and it could be a fabulous resort.

The restaurant is an insult to Thay cuisine..The staff has very little knowledge of English and can't communicate properly. But they were nice

Location in Mae Nam and close to pier. Lovely local bars and restaurants close by. Nice beach. Swimming pool is fabulous.

We stayed in a villa with private pool but the size of the pool was tiny and out the back of the villa with no seating. Nothing like the photos. Air conditioning was new but very loud and could not be switched to quiet mode in the night. Breakfast dishes had covers on all items but they were left open which defeats the object.

Whole resort feels like it used to be a luxury 5* some time ago and instead of investing and keeping it that way they downgraded to 4*, that’s not necessarily bad thing.We got villa close to pool and it was just perfect, big and comfortable, clean. Private pool is just ok. Public pool is very nice and beach is great (relatively steep, good for swimming).

AC in villa way too strong even on lowest settings. Restaurant and staff nice but overpriced and very average (pretty bad cocktails or deserts), better go out, much better options just outside of the resort.

Lovely big rooms providing everything we needed and fabulous location on the beach but close to lots of rustic bars and restaurants. Nice breakfasts with great choices.

A little dated perhaps and the restaurant prices for food and drinks were quite pricey for Thailand.

It much maybe the beach front is the only thing that makes this place bearable.

The rooms and the bathroom in particular are in urgent need of an upgrade. This place is at best a three star or worse.
