Santiburi Koh Samui

Set in a stunning location surrounded by a lush palm forest, the hotel offers a truly serene and picturesque atmosphere. The houses are thoughtfully positioned, providing both privacy and exceptional comfort, which makes moving around the property easy and enjoyable. Breakfasts are consistently delicious, with a great variety and high-quality ingredients, and the cocktails at the bar are among the best - perfectly crafted and a pleasure to enjoy at any time of day (thanks to Best). What truly sets this place apart is the excellent service: the staff are attentive, professional, and genuinely care about every guest, creating a warm and memorable experience from start to finish.

The only minor points worth mentioning are that the floor in the house was extremely well polished and could feel a bit slippery when walking, and that it would have been nice to have the room cleaned (wet) at least once every three to five days. However, these are very small details and hardly affect the overall experience, which was otherwise great.

Our stay at Santhiya Resort was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect, right on the beach, and the villas are very comfortable with direct beach access.The staff are extremely attentive and thoughtful — towels and water are brought to guests relaxing on the beach, which is a lovely touch. The pool is spotless and very pleasant, with no strong chlorine smell.Breakfasts are excellent, varied, and offer a wide choice for every taste, with very attentive service. The beachfront restaurant is also lovely, and the spa deserves special mention — we had massages and truly enjoyed the experience.A truly exceptional resort that we would happily return to.

The only downside was a noticeable smell in the rooms. Because of mosquitoes, it is not possible to ventilate the rooms properly, and as a result a specific, not very pleasant smell remains. This is the only negative point and something the hotel could consider improving.

We really liked the property overall as it is expansive and a great location on the beach. The facilities (gym, lobby, pool) are all very nice. The room we had (Villa) was great.

We thought the service could be improved. This is a great resort, but the service has opportunities for improvement. We been at other Thailand properties where there is a greater service focus/culture (The Slate is example) than what we saw here. Furthermore, there were a lot of workers standing around rather than supporting their guests especially when the resort was in a less-busy time of year. The pool was also too warm as it may be heated unnecessarily.

Our stay at this resort exceeded our expectations! Everything was absolutely amazing - from the beautiful beach and stunning pool to the top-notch facilities and exceptional service. It truly offered the perfect tropical getaway.

It’s a very good flat property on the beach very easy to go from one place to the other no need to use a cart. Beautiful gardens all around and great beach

Staff were amazing, the villa was perfect for family stay , buffet breakfast was great. The beach and pool made it hard to leave the resort. Quieter part of the island and beach was super peaceful. About a $15 grab to the busier parts of Koh Samui, but there are decent cheap restaurants within walking distance. The spa was amazing. Pricey but the best Thai massage my partner has ever had, which is a big call from her.

We had an absolute blast at Santiburi Resort — it truly exceeded all my expectations!From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The hotel uses a convenient app that lets you order anything to your room, call a cab or a club car, and ask for anything you need — it makes everything so easy.All the staff are welcoming, warm-hearted, and genuinely kind to both adults and children.The resort itself is beautifully maintained. I read in one review that the furniture was outdated — I couldn’t disagree more! Everything is in excellent condition: the rooms are spotless, the grounds are kept perfectly clean all day long, and the facilities are well preserved. The resort is so spacious that you hardly even notice other guests. The pool is large, and the beach stretches long enough for everyone to find their own quiet spot.The food is diverse, with plenty of options for both kids and adults, and the cocktail menu is great too! The beach restaurant is right by the water, making it super convenient to enjoy lunch and then head straight back to the beach.Family-wise, this resort is incredibly kid-friendly! They thought of everything — beach toys, a play area, a lovely and comfortable playroom, kids’ seats and utensils at every restaurant, and staff who are wonderfully attentive and playful with children.To sum it all up — no complaints whatsoever! We stayed for almost two weeks and had an absolutely perfect vacation.A huge thank you to all the staff — with special thanks to the playroom team, to Mhee from the beach towel stand, and to Lek and Arthur for their extra care and for keeping my kids smiling and laughing during meals and in between. ??

The kids pool is under consrtruction (it didn't bother us) but if you renovate it- make it with shallow parts for infants.

It was amazing. The staff were so friendly and great. The fact that we were able to have some icecream everyday as a treat from the hotel was an amazing experience and the pool was amazing.

We were told that we weren’t allowed to take out some fruit from breakfast however saw so many other guests doing it which made us felt uneasy and uncomfortable. We also signed up for Yoga however when we turned up on time at 7 am we were told that because not enough people signed up it was cancelled however no one told us this beforehand and we had no idea.

Beautiful villas, landscaping and general amenities. It is a tranquil place ideal for couples and families to relax and spend days pampered by the attentive and incredibly kind team of the resort.

Exquisite breakfast, everything was perfect! Definitelly a verry good resort and the staff was verry nice and welcoming! Would love to come back! Had the most enjoyable complimentary windsurfing lesson actually verry efficient since in 1h mamaged to do it on my own, congrats to our patient and profesionist trainer!

Wonderful 5 star hotel, all in standard clean, comfortable, have all what you want and good quality, all staff are great service mind, natural and zone all good for relax, beach zone good and comfy, restaurants inside all great, hope to back for book again next trip!

Fabulous villa, superbly located resort, incredible breakfast, the most lovely staff, beach service, Muay Thai instruction, immaculate gardens, quality clientele. Ideally situated for dinners out to beach front restaurants. Fabulous stay for 4 days unlike Rocky’s in Lamai which was way less good for a similar price

The gym needs new equipment

I came to Koh Samui to find a place where I can recover after a few stressful years. Wanted worry free hotel with great food and peace.Santiburi saved my vacation! I escaped a "fancy" holistic retreat where conditions were not what I expected. I went to Santiburi at the last minute, and the hotel provided pure relaxation!+ Beautiful grounds, big, but you don't feel it; well designed.+ Managment of this hotel is up to highest standards.+ Villa I got was beautiful, no noise except birds singing songs :)+ Managers were present at all times, walking around, chatting with guests to make sure everything was all right.+ Breakfast amaizing, I loved the avocado paste and everything else :)+ Staff, super friendly and easy to communicate with.+ The cleaning lady in my villa was amaizing. Super friendly. When it was raining, she created a beautiful elephant from towels:) I was travelling alone, she made me feel like I have a mother taking care of me.+ The bathroom, the bed, design of the villa - just perfect. Enough space to unpack, two wardrobes.+ Sport activities, tennis, a big and very well equipped gym, yoga, dancing classes (for extra charge).+ Spa packages (for around 15000 THB you get a package of 5 hours massages you can use during your stay, this way I had a massage every day!)+ Spa very nice treatments and great staff.+ Consierage - great too.+ In general, nothing was too much trouble.+ The food, I ate only two meals per day, because the portions for lunch in a beach restaurant were so big I was just not hungry for dinner. The food was amaizng, beautifully presented and not overpriced like in other hotels I stayed.+ Room service, just great!+ Female solo traveller, I felt very safe in this hotel.+ In the previous hotels I stayed in Thailand I just felt I was not getting the value for the money I paid, Santiburi is different, I didn't feel they are trying to cheat me or overcharge me.

Location not really designed for tourists.

This property is big—very big—but you hardly feel it, which is a testament to how well it’s designed. In fact, day after day, we found ourselves loving it more and more.Yes, it’s starting to show its age in some areas, but it’s incredibly well-maintained and spotless, which only adds to its charm.The beach? Absolutely stunning. The beach restaurant? Equally beautiful, offering an unforgettable dining experience with unbeatable views. Even breakfast was a treat, with a gorgeous setting that made each morning feel special.The service was another highlight—always kind, attentive, and eager to help.Oh and please try their massages best one i had during my 6 week visit in the island. If you’re looking for a place that combines scale, beauty, and warm hospitality, this is it. We can’t wait to return!

The pool coussions are old and gross it’s time to change them.
