The Beach Samui

Unpleasant stay due to unprofessional staff, loud boat engines, and lack of supervision at the pool

The reception staff, whether during the morning or evening shifts, is not good. They use marijuana, are not serious at all, and are disrespectful. The place is not quiet at all; the sound of boat engines is very disturbing. Children are left unattended in the pool, causing noise and disturbance without any supervision, and they break the resort’s rules without any accountability.

The villa was great - loved having our own little home far. The morning breakfast was included with the price and that was a daily treat for us. The AC was strong, internet was great, and the staff was happy and friendly. Daily cleaning was great. The owner was also very friendly.

Nothing really. It was nice, quiet, the staff was great. The coffee wasn't the best but it's about on par for Thailand. At some point it would be nice to have EV charging spots by the villas as Thailand transitions to EVs... but overall I have no complaints about my stay at the Beach Samui.

Stunning location, beautiful room.

The pool is more like a water feature. Unable to swim in the sea due to it being a shipping lane for the boats coming & going. The bed was also incredibly hard.

The staff were so friendly - always willing to help for any requests and the little man outside who stops traffic to let you cross the road was such a highlight! There was also a cute little dog on the beach so when I went for a walk he would follow along for cuddles! I loved that breakfast could be delivered to your room at your own specified time so you could enjoy a wonderful breakfast in bed every single day looking out at the beach!

Only thing being transfers from the airport to the hotel was a little pricey (1,000 baht) but again, its not really a complaint as they were super lovely

The hotel is in a very quiet location right on the beach. Very comfortable room with a fantastic sea view.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area with a few restaurants etc, it suited our needs on this trip but maybe a little on the quiet side.

Property was beautiful as well as the staff, the breakfast was fabulous delivered to my room. I had an oceanfront view, and the beds were so comfy.

The unfortunate part of the wonderful property is the fact that there really isn’t a beach. The boat traffic is so loud and busy cannot even swim and the pool was a little small other than that. Everything else is fabulous.

This is a absolute stunning hotel and I can’t believe we found it!!! I would love to return here next time we visit Thailand and spend more time here

The location is straight onto the beach, staff are lovely we were leaving early before breakfast so they made us a packed lunch to takeaway to the airport with us. Lovely food in the hotel, such a calm chill vibe

The swimming pool was a little small

This hotel was incredible, a perfect quiet location 10 minutes from Lamai, right across from a 7/11 and down the road from two amazing restaurants. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was amazing - a clean, bright and airy suite with an amazing pool and views of the beach. The bathroom comes with two double headed showers with beautiful shower gels, shampoo and lotion and a double sink. The breakfasts were really tasty and the optional extras were healthy and delicious too. This was probably the best hotel we have stayed at in Thailand and would love to stay again.

I would have preferred to have a quicker check-in, the amount of things that the staff inform you felt like an induction.

We booked this hotel as a place to relax after traveling  through Thailand for some time. And we can wholeheartedly say, that The Beach Samui was perfect for this purpose. Everything felt really luxurious. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and have an amazing view on the nearby sea. You can see and hear the waves from your bedroom, or enjoy them from your own terace. The beach looks stunning. It might not be perfect for swimming, due to motorboat-traffic, but you have the free option to do Kajak instead. What we liked most, was the holistic approach of the hotelowner. This place offers an amazing combination of healthy organic food, beautiful nature, calm relaxing vibes and alternative medicines and other spiritual practices (especially if you like smoking the green stuff from time to time). We can recommend this place for everyone who wants to relax and fill up his batteries. Might not be perfect for small kids, but everyone else will love this place.

The location at the beach was amazing, the rooms are great, very modern. It was easy to get a sunbed at the beach at any time. Very quiet and stylish hotel.

The location is a bit off, so it takes a bit to the airport. The gym cooperation is very expensive. The breakfast is pre-order which is great but they were quite inflexible so we had to pay extra for porridge with fruits and you can only have one coffee.

It wasn’t where we wanted to be. The total opposite end of the island where I was searching on Booking.com - who override search criteria.

Amazing staff beautiful views and room is amazing. Definitely rent a bike before coming out. Lots of great restaurants around. Also the bed is like sleeping on clouds!

Staff were wonderful, facilities very nice, breakfast was lovely with an awesome view, loved the quiet & being away from the busy beaches, the sunsets & sunrises were phenomenal! Spa services close by!

The mojito was not very good! Need to improve the recipe!

We had that dream of a hotel on a remote beach with a first line of the sea balcony and we found it here. From the minute we walked into our room and looked out over the sea and on to a jungle covered island we knew we'd found it. Our room was spacious with a coved and curtained bed. It had a kitchenette with refrigerator, cook top, toaster and electric kettle. The room was bright with white walls, seafoam colored ceiling and glass across the seaview front. The balcony had chairs and even a bathtub...that allowed you to test your modesty levels with fortunately large fluffy towels. The food at the restaurant was very good with both Thai and Western offerings at decent prices. We signed up for the optional breakfast package . The hotel offered tour services. The bathroom had two sinks as well as two separate shower heads in one shower stall for your enjoyment. We highly recommend this romantic getaway.

The lighting in the bathroom is limited and casts shadows. Anyone who wishes to primp for their romantic evening will find it a bit difficult. We also found understanding our breakfast options a bit confusing. Maybe a sheet with the breakfast package offerings separate from the menu would make it less so?

I stayed in suite 16, and I really liked it. There was a little kitchen with a big fridge. Nice bed+living room with a balcony with a beautiful view at the ocean.

It could be really nice with more real sunbeds and most important some big umbrellas. A little hard to find shade.Theres a little 7eleven on the other side of the street, but a real supermarked is very far away. Would have liked to use the kitchen more. The electrical outlet only really worked in the bathroom.Over all a really nice place. Thank you ?

Very attentive and courteous staff, fast laundry & room service. Very quiet location and yet everything within easy reach - restaurants, 7-Eleven and one of the best cafés on the island right next door. You can also enjoy your breakfast in-suite which is a lovely bonus

the beach is quite small and not really suitable for swimming as it is very rocky and there are lots of boats docked, you can also hear lots of long tail boats in the morning

Beautiful on beach location, easy parking. If you’re looking for ‘quiet and peaceful’ this is it. Staff were excellent, friendly and attentive.

Mildly disappointing that that would not exchange Earl Grey tea bags for English breakfast tea… had to buy them from reception for THB80 per bag! Petty and unnecessary.
