Melheim Beach Kalpitiya

I liked the fact that we were able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this hotel. The service from staff was attentive but not intrusive. The outside beach and pool area were meticulous.

This is a luxury resort right on a beautiful beach. It only has four rooms so personalised service. i only ate from the Asian menu but food delicious. The resort is beautifully designed as are its gardens.

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional especially the gentleman who served us food and provided room service. The place is very tranquil since the property only accommodates very less number of guests compared to the space at the property. Was able to get the same amount of peace and quite as youd get at a Maldivian resort at a very minimal cost.

Parking space might be insufficient if all guests arrive by their own separate vehicles. Would be better if the swimming pool has unobstructed view of the sea. The hotel provides mosquito repellent vaporizers for rooms but should take mosquito repellents when lounging by the sea.

I loved my stay at Melheim resort. I had the flu whilst there & the manager kindly picked me up dome medication. The setting is stunning, such a peaceful place by the sea to rest & restore myself.

Didn't have breakfast. However, not everything on the menu was available which was a bit disappointing but the staff especially Mr Ananda was exceptionally helpful

The rooms were amazing, hot showers, comfortable beds and the room was really big. Pool was great and the staff were so kind and helpful.

The quality of the beach was not great. Micro plastics and rubbish. But inside the resort area was very well kept by the garden guy.

Very quiet, friendly hotel, with a personal approach, clean pool, excellent staff, very good cuisine.

The beaches around the hotel are very very polluted with garbage

The pool was nice and we experienced a very friendly/helpful staff. The room was pretty cleanNeutal:There are windmills around that you can hear, but it didn't bother us at all. (We're rather glad there even is green energy for once)

There was quite some garbage at the beach, that got washed up there. But also, due to the time (beginning/mid of June), the sea wasn't good for swimming anyway. They'll probably clean it up during main season. We spend our time at the pool/in the hammocks therefore

The location is excellent. The Interior and the exterior of the hotel are well organized and clean. Calm and quiet environment to spend a few days next to the beach. Well-maintained garden and beach by the hotel.

1. WiFi was not working2. Air conditioner was very old and not working at all, had to survive from the fan 3. Paid TV was not working and it was not subscribed (as displayed on TV) 4. Food was overpriced and overcharged 5. Welcoming the guests was extremely poor

The hotel is on the beach front and is secluded, which makes it very private. The pool is a bonus and the small number of rooms gives the hotel an intimate feel. The rooms were spacious and well appointed.

We found flies in two separate lunch dishes. When we alerted the staff, they said there were a lot of flies around and there wasn’t anything they could do. They did not offer to take the food off the bill or replace the dishes. This put us off eating at the restaurant and meant we had to travel half an hour each way for food, which we had not planned for. When we ate at the restaurant, we were plagued by flies which made it very frustrating. We also did not realise the beach had wind turbines everywhere which made the beach feel industrial.

The location was superb. The building faced a sandy, private beach and there were beach chairs/ small huts and hammocks outside to relax. The rooms were spacious with all the necessary amenities. The staff were also very friendly.

Beautiful garden with a direct passage to the beach. The food was delicious and service was great! Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, great Wi-Fi, although menu was limited the food was tasty and well presented. The bathroom facilities were good with a lovely shower.

The soundproofing between the neighboring villas could be improved.

The staff at Melheim Beach Kalpitiya go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A high standard of service was maintained at all times.The rooms are fabulous, the restaurant adorable, the pool relaxing

The coconut grove is nice and fenced, hiding the surrounding windmills and power plant. The beach is okay, but nothing special.Fortunately we received a large discount when booking, otherwise it would have been out of our budget.
