Kitesurfing Lanka

The space is absolutely gorgeous, from the well designed bungalows to the common areas, yoga shalas and so on. A lot to explore, not only flora and fauna wise. The food was decent (besides the Pad Thai?), the team very kind (s/o Sebastian). DIY-activities, like taking the kayak out are great, we even got to see bioluminescent plankton swimming in the calm ocean at night. Highly recommend, even if you're not into kitesurfing

The food was abundant, diverse, and absolutely delicious, making every meal a real pleasure.Most activities on-site are free, which is a huge plus, and I also added the dolphin watching tour—an unforgettable, magical experience that I highly recommend!One of my best memories in Sri Lanka, and honestly, you could easily spend a whole week here without ever getting bored. I can’t wait to come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kitesurfing Lanka, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that immediately set the tone for my entire stay. A special shout-out to the property manager, who made us feel welcome from the start. His attention to detail and genuine interest in making our stay as comfortable as possible went above and beyond our expectations. It’s clear that he takes pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly, and his hospitality was top-notch.The chef deserves an equally glowing review. Every meal was a delight – from traditional Sri Lankan dishes to international favorites, everything was cooked to perfection. The fresh seafood was particularly spectacular, and we loved the variety of flavors and ingredients that were used. Dining at the hotel was truly an experience in itself.The rooms are beautifully designed with comfort and style in mind. Whether you’re staying in the cozy beachfront chalets or the stylishly modern rooms, you’ll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The open-air feel, combined with excellent amenities, made for an incredibly peaceful and relaxing environment. The sea breeze and sounds of the waves just outside my window created the ideal atmosphere for unwinding after a day of adventure.We had the pleasure of going on a boat ride to experience dolphin watching, and it was absolutely magical! The boat ride itself was scenic and peaceful, and seeing the playful dolphins in their natural habitat was an experience we’ll never forget.

No luxury, but all the essentials. Totally chill vibes.very nice staff.Lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner.Off-season so the domain was like ours! Good for those who like “off the beaten track”.

People, garden art, animals, beach, activities, positivity, kite spot, bungalow, bar, food, people… Perfect place to chill and kitesurf.

Great people, awesome location for both kitesurfing and diving. Always such a warm welcome. The food is great too! We had Kitesurfing lessons and the instructor team do such a great job!

We stayed in a tent which makes a great budget option, but can leave you vulnerable to mosquitos. Take plenty of spray and you'll be fine!

Lovely small resort with lots of chill out spaces and free use of the kayaks and SUPs. The room was lovely equipped with a mosquito net ( which was definitely needed) and was very clean. Dinner was also very good.

The rooms could potentially do with wire where the wall connects to the roof as we were frequently visited by squirrels who also liked to eat the soap we left in the bathroom outside (some warning about this would have been useful)! Breakfast was slightly disappointing with some fruit and a pancake which was left out as we weren’t made aware what time breakfast was at.

Great vibes, the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, it’s a young group of people and they enjoy their work very much!

i liked the staff and the management. I liked the how easy it was just to get around and how the kite session was organized. Love the fact that the beach boys were here to help out. Great variety of food

Great food and people. Instruction good if available and questionably dangerous with the amount on the lagoon. I wish we had known on check in the lack of instructors so we could have switched locations. overall expensive weighing in on good local resources for kite surfing.rooms no ac, lots of flys and mostiqos another reason not to stay. guests awkward and not friendly.

Food at every meal was varied and excellent. Cocktails were delicious. The place is very well run, with helpful staff.

The stuff is very friendly The Bungalows are between palms and it is created all very sweet. The beach is nice.

They promot everyday on Insta like as there are people. I arrived and nobody was there. They said the season starts in 15 days. Why you don't close is till that. The food was very expensive. 10 Euro for lunch and 15 Euro for Dinner. You need a Shuttle to go to the lagoon. They don't sell there food .

best property in Kalpitiya, maybe in entire Sri Lanka. great value for money, very comfortable, the staff is very professional and helpful.They also have a few kayaks and SUPs for their guests to use, for free! Also, they are right at the lagoon so one can easily paddle to the village as well as the ocean. Food was awesome as expected.

The team is very friendly and accommodating. They have created a very welcoming environment where every guest could sit together and socialize. Pleanty of activities to do if not a wind surfer/ surfer too. The homemade decorations give a distinctive experience. Loved the place and the people!!

Our bangalow was not Airconditioned and it was difficult to stay during the hot days without wind. Also the buffet for dinner and lunch was pricy if booked at the hotel and not in advance.

It feels like you are on a campsite in France but when you look around, you see beautiful wooden huts and coconut trees everywhere. The common areas are really nice and plenty of it. The vibe is also really great and sociable. Especially if you are a kitesurfer this is paradise! But when you are not (really), as we were, this place also has a lot of nice activities and beach to offer!!

The price of food and drinks is a little expensive compared to other places in Sri Lanka.

The location is very beautiful. Quiet. It does not compare to many resorts in the south.

The room was a bit "dusty". We also had 2 geckos. There is only cold water in the bathroom. There are no windows. If you don't like cockroaches, you can expect to meet them.You can only eat at the location. The food is good, but overrated.The internet was not very good

all inclusive is expensive for Srilanka! the breakfast is okey but western…

Everything here was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the food was amazing, and it was such a fun and supportive environment. The day trips were really fun and well organised. Travelling alone here was no problem, there were a lot of other people around to hang out with at dinner or at the bar.

It's worth noting that in the summer season you can't kite immediately from the property, you have to be driven down to the lagoon. The truck goes multiple times a day and it's all included so it's not a big problem.Unfortunately, I did have one major incident while staying here. The kitesurfing locations are all in off-shore winds, which feels dangerous but there is a rescue boat for when you get into trouble. At one point my kite got tangled and the boat was not ready to go - the motor was not attached and there was no petrol in the motor. I was no where near shore and had to swim for over 30 minutes before I was rescued. It was probably the most terrifying experience of my life, and I'm so lucky another kiter was nearby to send for help in the first place.

The property has a very relaxed vibe, and the highlight is obviously ithe the bathroom under the open sky. We had also dinner at the hotel - it was very good. The property is located next to mangroves so crossing a bridge over leads to the beach, and the beach offers connection to neighboring hotel where if is possible to use the pool in exchange for a couple drinks. The property also offers paddleboards, yoga sessions and canoes to keep you entertained.

The road through the city leading to the hotel is not of very good quality, but it should be no reason to not come to the hotel. However be aware that dining options in this area are a bit limited. The bungalows offer mosquito nets but be sure to bring enough repelents for when staying outside. There is no air conditioner in the bungalow, but a fan so staying cool during the night is a bit loud. But again, we were surrounded by nature so did not mind it.
