We’ve stayed at a few hotels in Jeju. This one is fairly average—not the best, but not the worst either. One clear positive is the ocean view right next to the hotel, which we really enjoyed. Housekeeping was done when requested, and the basics were handled well.We also want to highlight one excellent staff member (unfortunately standing out among less pleasant interactions). He is an older gentleman with glasses, short hair, and speaks good English and Korean. We encountered him twice, once during our 3pm check-in and once in the evening when booking breakfast. He was friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful, and provided guidance in a very welcoming way when we requested for one. It was a pleasant experience, and we hope other staff members can learn from his professionalism.

The hotel itself was fine and met our needs, but several staff interactions made the stay uncomfortable.Before check-in, we arrived an hour early to leave our luggage (as instructed after booking). Although no other guests were waiting, staff ignored us briefly and immediately stated “check-in is at 3pm” in a dismissive tone before asking why we were there. While the issue was minor, the attitude felt unnecessarily condescending.The most concerning experience happened at breakfast. My wife went down alone with our three-year-old. Although walk-in breakfast is allowed by providing the room number, the staff member questioned her in a rude manner and handled the table setting roughly when escorting her. This felt disrespectful and uncalled for.At checkout, we reported this issue and asked twice for corporate contact information, but the request was ignored. An apology was offered, which we appreciated, but the lack of follow-up or transparency was disappointing.Overall, the hotel itself was acceptable, but the repeated unfriendly staff interactions left a negative impression and could be handled much more professionally.P.S.- they have roach spray in closet of the hotel... we didn't see any roaches, but closed our luggage for safety when we left the hotel room

Nice breakfast with local food, kind staff, good jacuzzi with ocean view

The hotel does not match the price at all. The overall impression is not pleasant, except for a nice hot tub and kind staff.I was given a room right by the elevator where there was constant noise and people walking around. When I entered the room it had a strange smell in it. The room had very poor noise insulation - you could hear noises both outside the door and from the upper floors very early in the morning (I don't understand what they were doing at 5-6am). All this could have been compensated by a comfortable bed, but it was very old and the pillows were very uncomfortable, and the air conditioner is located right above the bed and blows into your legs very hard. All in all the sleep was terrible.

The rooms were good sized- but generally on expensive side. The place had a bit of a cosmetic French vibe which felt out of place for an island.

The rooms with hot tubs and the rooftop pool. Aewol is a great location. Breakfast has a good variety of foods.

Good location and the staff were friendly and check-in was easy. Reception staff spoke English, which was helpful. Pool is heated to a warm temperature, which was nice because it ended up being pretty cold during our trip. There's a coffee shop downstairs and restaurant upstairs, so it was convenient to stay in/near the hotel.

Facilities overall felt dated; didn't really look like the photos.

Wonderful place for kids.The pool was great and warm, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the food was good and abundant. And the staff was very friendly.Our kids told us to give it the highest grade possible.

If I visit Jeju again, I definitely would not stay at this property. It’s so far from everything, they charge you extra to ask for a blanket and a pillow - and overall the vibe was not that friendly. It tries to be very western in a strange kind of way.

The shower doors were not properly sealed and so after every single shower, the entire floor is soaked. It was really annoying as there’s 3 people staying in the room, so after each person, the floor was soaked.

Room was exactly as per advertised. in-room bath tub/jacuzzi, big living room, big sleeping room and beds. lots of available parking lots, heater and aircon available in all rooms. Location of hotel was easy to locate with 1-2min nearby mini convenience store selling a lot of useful stuff.

Very little nearby eateries/restaurant within walking distance, have to drive far away for better options. Staff always insist on immediate payment for breakfast reservation for next day (couldn't understand why). rooftop swimming pool isn't heated sufficiently for swimming in cold weather.

Location and sea view. Lots of parking space available. Buffet breakfast is good

The location was a little far from things to do, in the later fall season.

i love the view , its amazing to have ocean view infront of the hotel. so many delicious restaurants around and coffee shop is in the lobby at the hotel. you must try the seafood resto in front of the hotel, they have the best grill mackarel and fish soup. the gift shop is right infront of the hotel also, you can buy gift from jeju. and make sure you rent kakao bike , strolling around aewol. its so amazing. overall its really pleasant stay for me. thanks so much

Great service from staff, immaculately clean room, great location with local restaurants all close by.

Facilities were starting to date and in some cases were in need of maintenance.

Spacious room but pillow too small

We lost one room card and they wanted us to pay which most hotels will not do. Hall decorations was very outdated.

It has a great ocean view.

There were kids right outside of the hotel shooting fireworks after midnight for about 40 minutes. It was really loud so we couldn’t fall asleep.

Building looks a bit dated, but the room is nice.

Breakfast was ok, omelette was with cheese, so strange. Other dishes not very fresh but ok spread

The swimming pool at 8pm, was crazy, there was no fire and the wind was blowing like crazy. Mind you it’s very cold during winter so I dont get why the staff didn’t bother to check. Also the heater in the room was so warm, I off it and the room continued to be warm. There’s no aircon no cooling. I was sweating the whole night and the staff asked me to open the sliding window to let the cold air in. Yes but that will let the insects in too. Thanks very much.

There is one resturant and one coffe near the hotel , there is no activites on the beach

The room in general was clean, beds were comfy. We got plenty of complimentary water every day free of charge.Parking was hassle-free. The rooftop pool is quite cool :)

The terrace twin room is not good value for money. The hotel decoration is quite outdated, from the lobby to the rooms. We didn't enjoy the feeling of the room, it was like going on a trip to the 90s. The bathroom wasn't super clean when we entered the room, there were rests of black mold in the bathtub silicone sealing, and hair and stains in the toilet seat. The view from the hotel room wasn't amazing either (although placed in front of the sea, there's some sort of small industrial port just in front). There are no nice restaurants or attractions in the area, so I wouldn't recommend booking unless you're renting a car in Jeju. You're also apparently not allowed to bring food in from the outside (for sustainability reasons), which is interesting considering there are no restaurants nearby within walking distance.
