Pros +
- The hotel entirely was amazing: facilities, room, breakfast, pool etc. Quiet and peaceful place with an excellent attention from its staff.
- A wonderful, historic building in the best part of Valledupar. Excellent breakfast with offerings that we didn't encounter elsewhere in Colombia (like cayeye, yum!). We had a very early departure on our last day (4 a.m.!) and the sweet young man working that night insisted on packing us a breakfast to go, for which we were very grateful. It's a very quiet and tranquil place, and if you love vernacular and historic architecture, you'll appreciate it even more.
- I loved the hotel, breakfast and location. The staff was very accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again.

- If you want a particular room, be sure to ask for it and document the communication. I specifically asked for a room in the historic part of the building because of my interest in and appreciation for the architecture. As we were driving to the hotel, I checked my reservation and saw that it showed the specific room I had booked. When we arrived and checked in, we were shown to one of the modern rooms. It's alright but I can get that kind of room anywhere—I chose this hotel for its history. When I opened my app to show the staffer who took us to the room, the reservation had changed to show a modern room. Before I could even say anything, the staffer said "I didn't change anything about the reservation!" I showed her the conversation that I had had about requesting a historic room, and she said they were all taken. I was upset, but resigned to it and she left. Shortly thereafter, she returned and said that they would make an exception and give us the room I originally booked. I definitely appreciated that, but it seemed like a bit of a bait and switch—not to mention that the hotel was definitely not fully booked as we were told.
- The location is a bit tricky and also the zone is a bit alone during the night.

The staff was awesome! Polite and gave a very nice delivery to all of my requests.
The location is a bit tricky and also the zone is a bit alone during the night.
The hotel is so beautiful, very nice looking interior design and have a pretty garden at the backyard. 3 different patios with beautiful plants and has a nice small swiming pool with a nice sound of a waterfall below a mango tree. A really nice breakfast !!!The staff was really kind y warm. The bedrooms are so cousy and confy.
The location seems to be not very secure, but they have police officers close to the area. Our general impresion of Valledupar is that the city is not very secure.
Simply Amazing! From King Suite to Colombian breakfast items, lovely interior garden and the Staff are so sweet !
AC tripped the fuse a few times
Breakfast was delicious, room was comfortable, great location
Soap dispensers in the shower weren't the best.
the location, the gardens, the architecture, the friendliness of the staff, the concern by the staff to ensure the visit to Valledupar was memorable.
Great room and breakfast. Common areas had a lovely retro style. Friendly and helpful staff.
Wow! What a wonderful hotel! Where do I start? It is set in a beautiful old colonial style building right in the heart of old Valledupar. Rooms are set around a garden patio. Our room had its own patio with hammocks and tables and chairs to sit and eat. Breakfast was exquisite. The staff were so friendly and helpful, attentive at all hours of the day. They were able to arrange trips with incredibly knowledgeable guides (ask for Jorge). If you love Vallenato and you ptobably do if you're coming to Valledupar, then this place is a treasure trove. There are stacks of classic records by Diomedes lying around, a Hohner Corona III siting in the corner. An old gramaphone. Wonderful articles all around the hotel to gaze at. There's a small swimming pool to cool down after the heat of the day in the Valle. It is very secure. The central park is five minute walk, and all streets of note are a stone's throw awayReally for me this is the hands down best hotel in Valledupar. Highly highly recommended. Book early so as not to be disappointed. If you are going for the festival book a year ahead!!!
There was nothing to not like. The hotel was perfect.
Great gardens and room. Breakfast was amazing
everything was great! I love the garden around my room
