Hotel Marovi

Pros +

• It's a nice clean facility, but I felt like I was checking into a prison. They wanted me to wear a cheesy bracelet and sign a document that I had no idea what I was agreeing to. The document kept referring to other rules that I didn't have access to. It was a nice facility, but I got a really bad vibe for a hospitality business. The check-in was very demeaning. For that reason, I won't be back. Otherwise it is a nice facility.
• I had a terrible experience at Hotel Marovi in Santa Marta. First, my personal belongings were stolen (my Inter Milan shorts), even though the hotel staff assured me that the place was safe. After insisting, they finally checked the security cameras and saw the person who took them. They already knew who stole my item but made me wait until the next day instead of solving the issue immediately. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and security. Additionally, the hotel confirmed that a weekly stay was available, but later, during the weekend, they suddenly told me there was no availability anymore. Instead of honoring their confirmation, they moved me to another room, which was in terrible condition and nothing worked properly. If you are looking for a secure and well-managed place, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else. The poor management, security issues, and lack of professionalism make this hotel a very bad choice for travelers.
