Hotel AT THE PARK

Staff was friendly, hotel was clean and beautifully designed. Breakfast was great and timely.

Would be nice to place at least one glass jug of water in the room. Front desk staff at night played his phone loudly, but immediately turned it down on request. Please make outdoor doorbell a little more obvious.

The hotel was charming and well decorated. Our duplex room was very clean, the beds comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was freshly made to order. Hotel location is wonderful for getting to know the old town of Cartagena. Staff was very kind.

There was no street noise but a lot of internal noise. The hotel inner courtyard echoes, and with our room opposite reception we could clearly hear hotel guests shouting to each other across the patio, or large groups checking in after 1am or arriving before 8am. We asked the hotel staff if there were any quiet hours at the hotel, or if there was anything they could do, but it seems not. The room safe was not working, but after the batteries were replaced, the safe started beeping in the middle of the night. Hotel pool was closed during half of our stay for cleaning, 1 day initially and then extended. The staff at the hotel did not explain much about the facilities or breakfast, we had to ask or figure it out. Some of the above might be normal for Cartagena, but our stay was not too restful, so I'd probably try a different place next time.

Breakfast was good! Best omelette with toast or arepas. Help was very accommodating.

Poor wifi reception in my room on the first floor.

The air conditioner was iffy and they basically give you two sheets. The shower was almost unusable as was the sink. The worst thing about the property was the owner and his tyrannical policies that are NOT listed on booking.com. HALFWAY THROUGH MY STAY, I HAD TO RENT ANOTHER HOTEL DUE TO THE ISSUES. THE OWNER SAID THAT HE MAKES THE POLICIES AND HE CANNOT CHANGE THEM FOR ANYONE THEREFORE NO REFUNDS DESPITE THE ISSUES WITH THE ROOM. Avoid this place at all costs.

It is a rundown hotel and I cannot figure out what the problem is to look. I talked to the owner. Then it made sense. I quickly tried to check out, but was unable to because of Hotel policy. I went six doors down and got a much better hotel For less money.

The location is good. It was noisy, but I. liked our private balcony, you can watch some performers on the street, I chose this kind of room specifically (however got some disadvantages too, read bellow). They have simple but, not bad breakfast.

It's ok that it was noisy outside. But they woke up us during the day twice, some man was talking very loudly on his phone right infant of our room and the front desk for hours (I'm not kidding). And the front desk people didn't care at all. Is awful for an apartment called a junior suit. I'm very disappointed. my wife was exhausted. So the staff doesn't care what happens infant of them at all. Sometimes the disappear from the desk and you cannot find no one..It's basically not really comfortable accommodation, everything is old and used a lot. And there are some details that make it worse.They gave us just 3 towels for 2 people, 2 for sower and one for handwashing I guess. No floor towels, no slippers.. and the floor is made of concrete.Also the roof top they have, it doesn't make any sense. Nothing happens on there, it has empty tables (it looks abandoned), no much view you can see from there. So, it exists but has no value for guests.

Location was amazing and staff such as Jessica, and Ana were super helpful and friendly.

The room was spacious and clean. The personal was very nice and helpful.Love the fountain in the middle of the hotel.

Every day the same breakfast.They could change every other day. The room we had was next to the entrance of the hotel closed to the plaza with a lot of noise all day.

Too expensive for the value stay elsewhere especially if u dont want to hear gunshots at 1 am or street performers until midnight and dealers harassing u to buy coke (but thats all of cartagena). Pool unusable

The staff was extremely friendly and supportive and the hotel has a wonderful lobby, balcony, and pool area where you can perfectly relax on a hot day.

The staff is marvelous, all of them aim to please & provide a pleasant stay. The hotel is very well located and has a very pleasant balcony overlooking the street (not so common in those colonial houses). Breakfast is great, and they do provide options.

The Breakfast was Great every morning. The Waiters are the Best and very Friendly.

The Construction next door. But this is out of control of the Hotel and will not last forever.

The location in the old town couldn't be better. We loved sitting in front of a balcony in a common area. It has an indoor pool to get cooled down after a walk and a roof terrace to chill out.

The rooms don't have much natural light as there are no external walls. They face a lovely internal patio with a lot of sitting areas.

Well located hotel in the middle of the historic centrum. The suite was great and we had separate bedrooms for us and the children. The staff was awesome and really friendly.If you are looking for an escape of all the people trying to sell stuff, you can buy a drink around the corner and drink this in all easiness on the balcony.

location is great, staff is great, some rooms do not have windows but this is not really an issue

Beautiful hotel, and they kindly moved me (to an even nicer room) due to construction happening in the property adjacent to my original room.Fantastic location over the square, and the staff were lovely and helpful, especially Jessica at the front desk.The lady serving breakfast cooked me a vegan breakfast specially, which was much appreciated.

Although the location is great, overlooking the square, the downside is that you can hear the noise until 11 or 12 at night, although it is quite quiet after that.WiFi can go down sometimes, which is probably the provider rather than the hotel.

We had a balcony room overlooking the park and it was fabulous watching the shows and having a drink.

The location, the balcony by reception overseeing the park, the rooftop to host your own social event, and the great people serving breakfast in the morning.

The room was falling apart. For the price we paid I would at least expect the room to be in good shape. Tiles are broken, walls cracked, shower doorknobs missing, glass on the room door cracked, and the lack of natural lighting in the room and pool area. All things considered, I would rate the hotel higher if it was 1/2 what I paid. I suggest the venue undergo a serious renovation as it has so much potential.

Rooms...the facilities need improvement and there was no hot water once the water finally came back!
