Pros +
- Friendly staff and good food
- Everything was great, specially the host Pedro. The room and facilities were clean, it was a very good price as well. The view from the restaurant/rooftop was awesome and the food was nice as well. Overall, Very nice. The sea was close, you have to walk 3 blocks. Also the market Ara was super close so you can walk 2 blocks to get there. The CARTAGENA letters are close so you can walk there as well. Also you can go to the ciudad amurallada walking but it can take you around 30 minutes, if you enjoy walking, can be a nice thing to do.
- Great customer service. Every employee is so friendly and respectful.
Cons -
- Elevator was broken for days and we stayed at top floor. The stairs were exhausting repairs should have been more expedited for guest.
- The hotel is great but the surroundings are just ok (taking into account it is stratum 4 I thought the surroundings were going to be better, but it is ok). It is worth what it costs. The room was super small and the balcony doesn’t have chairs, so if you have wet clothes is very hard to dry them. The restaurant don’t offer the lunch of the day menu that cost 20.000 cop pesos, unless you ask for it, they usually give you the regular menu card which is very expensive compared with the lunch of the day. My advice is always ask for the lunch of the day. Besides that my stay was extremely nice ?
- No guest allowed in the room. If you gonna have guests coming over, this is not the right place. Otherwise, everything else is good.

Great location, the beach is near from hotel.
There was a leak in the air conditioned. It was difficult to rest.
The hotel has a decent location from the old town and walled city. Excellent, friendly, attentive staff. The breakfast was pretty good. Close to the beach.
Any wall art in the rooms would help the ambiance. Also, there weren't any lamps on the nightstands so that should be considered because some people love to read, and the central light is not so good to be used at night while reading.
All workers are very nice. They always try to my requests as much as possible. I appreciated.
I extended my stay one more night. Every time asked the price for that, they said slightly different price. And when I pay for that, slightly higher than I informed…. It is not big deal, but little bit not happy. Otherwise I satisfied.
Lovely roof top which was a nice setting for breakfast each morning.
Lovely that there was a balcony however no chairs or table on said balcony. We asked 3 times for 1 chair as there is already 1 plastic one in the room and was told yes, but a chair never came, the 3rd time asking was told no we could not have a chair :’)
Nothing i like
The pictures show on the website is not the same when you get there. The beach far away just can look no swim around there. The bed sheets was very not clean, we asked them to change for 7 bed sheets was still dirty. The money to pay for the room too expensive with no pool or anything to do or any activities in that hotel. Very disappointed.
The staff was friendly and the view from the terrace was amazing
The room had a leak and they didn't want to compensate for it
Good price for facilities, Attentive staff, rooms with good AC and hot water, beautiful view from top floor balcony where you eat breakfast
Mediocre breakfast, no AC outside rooms, people partying loud outside my room at 3 am, and missing money from my luggage before I left the hotel
The cleaning stuff and the chefs
The hotel manager Jimhys Bonills he was disrespectful. He shot me a bird and told me go and f*** myself. All about discussing my hotel bill and the fact that the elevator wasn't working I'm a older man and walking up six floors and down is no fun. I will contact corporate no one should be disrespectful like he did me.
The aircon was top notch which you really need in tropical Cartagena. Very nice staff and a good breakfast on the open terrace at the top of the hotel. The owner/manager "Jimmy" takes a real interest in making guests feel welcome.
The desk and chair in the room were very basic and uncomfortable to use for any length of time.
The staff was amazingly supportive and helpful. Okay there was one older guy with nearly no teeth, he wasn’t so friendly but apart from that, the other staff members were very kind.
Everything else! I slept 6 nights here and I really didn’t appreciate the stay. My bed had dirt sheets, the bathroom had very nasty corners full of dirt and other liquids, water in the shower was nearly not available (5floor), towls were dirty and on top of that, the AC broke the last night. The whole condition of the building is bad, you feel like in a 1* hotel - no AC in the elevator neither on the floor. Everything had extra charges and if you want to pay by card, you have to pay a premium. Breakfast was also very very small - just two eggs, two slices of toasted bread, 20g of Marmelade and butter and one drink. Good was the (small) fruit plate on the beginning. All in all it was a very bad experience and I can’t believe I paid so much money for this hotel.
People was very nice and friendly.
Pillows are too big and they should have a sign in front of the cookies and peanuts saying that is not complementary, because we took it and they charge us at the time of check out.
The staff was great and the rooms were clean. The water pressure was good with a rainfall showerhead. I loved the rooftop restaurant and the proximity to the beach (about a 5-minute walk). Using the umbrellas they have reserved was easy and is very affordable. It was only a 12-15 minute taxi ride into the old town, so that made coming and going quite easy. And it's not far from the airport either (but not at all noisy).
Some of the furniture was a little worn out, and the shower faucet was a little hard to turn off. Minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating
The stuff is outdated, the facility is old. Also they didn’t tell me the stuff in fridge had an extra cost, there should be a sign or something indicating is not complimentary.
GREAT STAFF, THE LOCATION AND THE VIEW! VERY NICE EXPERIENCE.I I WOULD COME BACK!
JUST A RUG UNDER THE JACUZZI WOULD'VE BEEN PERFECT. THE HOT TUB SPILLS WATER NATURALLY, AND YOU HAVE TO CALL THE LADY TO COME AND CLEAN BECAUSE THERE IS NO RUG TO ABSORB IT.
Quiet hotel.High ceilings.Good wifi.Cold minibar with freezer compartment.King-sized bed.Good security (24-hour receptionist & hotel entrance door kept locked).Friendly, responsive staff.
Poor maintenance. In our 1st room, the A/C and the window-shades were broken. In our 2nd room, both the bathroom fan & window were broken, so no ventilation in the bathroom, & the A/C didn't go below 28 degrees. And the next day, the A/C broke. In our 3rd room, the t.v. remote control didn't work, again no ventilation in the bathroom, & the toilet only weakly flushed. Their absurd suggested „solution“ was not to put toilet paper in the toilet!Bathroom floor-mat is plastic, so useless for drying feet after showing.Balcony windows not tinted, so no privacy from high-rise apt. building across the street. (Not a „city-view“ as stated in ad.)Cable t.v. has no premium, commercial-free channels (e.g. Netflix) nor internet connection (e.g. Youtube). No furniture on balcony (ridiculous)! The „desk“ is just a ledge, & far too high to match the plastic chair under it.The breakfast is very limited, with only 2 eggs with toast and a little fruit. No meat or cheese, no cereal, etc.Worst of all, the hotel rules posted on the room door states no invited guests are allowed. That rule was not disclosed in the hotel's „terms & conditions“ on Booking.com.
The breakfast was great! Included fruit, unlimited coffee, eggs, bread with butter and jam spread, and a natural juice.Maria Claudia was the break fast cook and host. The sweetest, kind, and proper lady. Excellent customer service skills and very attentive to our needs. Also Jesus in the reception desk, was very kind, attentive to our every need. Both of them made the stay so much special with their sweet and excellent customer service.
There was not much not to like but rather like about the place. Some suggestion, some tiles were loose around the bathroom entrance, and the door to the bathroom of the room was hard to close. Other than that nothing but a great experience at the hotel.
Nice, budget apart-hotel. Reasonably priced, reasonable value for the money.
Limited towels, welcome drink was "mocktail" and facilities where in general "simple"
