Hyatt Regency Cartagena

The staff and the room were great. I needed some ice, but the ice machine was down on my floor. A staff machine delivered ice in under 10 mintues.

The hotel has a double elevator method to get to your room. Only one side can take you to your room. It's a minor annoyance to make sure to remember your side top press.

Loved this hotel, it exceeded our expectations. The pool was awesome and the view was amazing, so much that we spent most of the day there. Had a superior king room with wonderful city view.

Beautiful, big rooms, comfortable and clean.

Room service was terrible, incredibly slow. It took them one whole hour to bring us two coke's and two orange juices. They also charge a room service fee, a tip fee and taxes on this. The two orange juices and two coke's costed us $20 USD.

I love the decor and the aromatherapy smell of the property as I walk in.The location of the property was conveniently located to get around town as well.

98 percent of the staff didn't understand English and it was a bit of a nuisance having to ride 2 different elevators.

I enjoyed the space of the rooms and the pool and the hospitality of the staff. Facilities was very very clean. Didn't like the food that much... but overall a great place to stay

Checking in was very easy. The front desk was very helpful. Rooms were clean and bigger than I expected. The pool area was my favorite place. The staff was amazing. Food was was just ok but good enough for a snack in the afternoon. David and Fabian were the best. Great service by the entire staff. Edison and Miguel were also very helpful. A great day at the pool. Steam room was also very nice. Breakfast was excellent!!

It’s expensive for Colombia but worth it

The Clubhouse breakfast and afternoon snack exceeded our expectations. Our king room and view of the bay were superb . We didn’t get use the pool. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I must mention the door staff. Very Very courteous and helpful. I felt like a Star. Will be my first choice during my next visit.

Having to call for toilet tissue, facial tissues, wash cloths, towels and trash bags after the room service. Should have automatically been replaced. Full kitchen, there were no pot holder, dish cloths, dish towels, dish soap. In spite that, one call and it was all taken care of.

I got the room at the top floor that was new. Lounge was big and check in was exclusive. Pool was nice with the bar and in front of the beach.

Lounge was open bar until 6pm but was needed at least to 7pm. Also after hours lounge was open but nothing to eat or drink on it. Elevators were messy to get to the room for the bigger floors.

Proximity to everything and cleanliness of facilities.

Restaurants were way overpriced.

The property is currently under construction, so the main pool and certain sections of the main lobby are closed.

When I first visited Hyatt Cartegena a few years ago, what really impressed me was the breakfast experience. During the renovations and changes over the past couple of years and about 7 visits, the breakfast experience has regained its sparkle and exceptional presentation. The staff has always been the best with exceptional customer service. Yercelis was the BEST, and took care of everything. Gabriela, Fernanda and the chef Yelvis created a memorable experience from the time I checked in, till the time I had to leave to make my journey home..I look forward to returning in a few months and I hope to see all of the staff I had the pleasure of meeting. Always a great time at this hotel, my home away from home!
